[edit] Toons

These are toons or animations that are not advertised from the site. Some of them are incomplete.

Screenshot Name Description External Links
Toons removed from the website
Marshmallow's Last Stand Strong Bad and Strong Mad steal the star from Homestar Runner's shirt in order to force Homestar and Pom Pom to participate in a tag team wrestling match. This cartoon, which is the first ever full-length Homestar Runner toon made, now has been removed from the site for unknown reasons. It is included in Everything Else, Volume 2. Watch the toon (mirror)

A Jumping Jack Contest Strong Bad, Strong Sad, Homestar Runner, Pom Pom, and Bubs enter a jumping jack contest. The person who continually jumps jacks for the longest wins. Strong Bad cheats, of course. Based loosely on the Homestar Runner book, it has since been taken off the site for unknown reasons. Strong Libs are available for play during the loading time. It is included in Everything Else, Volume 2. Watch the toon (mirror)

If I Ran the Camera A poem written by Karen Wagner as a father's day present to Don Chapman (Grandpa). It was on the site for a short period of time but soon taken down once The Brothers Chaps realized that fans had found it. It features a little girl named Astrid Renee and Grandpa Chapman. Super Brave!! A homestarrunner.com update for February 21, 2003. It featured a class full of kids who had each drawn a picture of Homestar Runner. You could move the mouse over the kids and see Homestar-esque drawings of each of them that were eventually used for characters appearing during the karaoke songs on strongbad_email.exe DVD #2. On February 24, the update was renamed to "these kids rule". View the Flash file (mirror)

Limozeen Thanksgiving E-Cards Limozeen Thanksgiving E-Cards were made available for Thanksgiving 2003. Three messages from the members of Limozeen are provided. The recipient of the E-Card would be sent an email with the URL of the card that was prepared for them.

Although the feature itself has been removed from the site, going to the URL will show the loading screen. The font used for "Loading..." is modeled after the Iron Maiden logo. It is a bonus feature on Everything Else Volume 3.

Where the Crap Are We? This toon was never actually on the site; it's an animation with Homestar and Strong Bad found in an Easter egg at Macromedia Central. It is also available in a hidden 'toon on the Everything Else, Volume 1 DVD. Watch the toon (mirror)

Secret toons still on the website
Happy T! A sign which says "Happy T!" The letters, when clicked on, have voiceovers of the main characters saying things relating to the title. It features an Easter egg with Homsar, accessed by clicking on a small spot on the lower right hand corner of the screen. View the Flash file
Field Day Intro This toon was released onto the site but was never listed. It is an Easter egg on Everything Else Volume 3. It was only available through the URL "fieldday.html". Watch the toon

Sbemail 100 fakeout This toon was never deliberately linked to at any time. This secret page was designed to be discovered by people trying to find the 100th Strong Bad Email before it was released. This originally occurred by typing homestarrunner.com/sbemail100.html, with the actual email eventually being located at homestarrunner.com/sbemailahundred.html. Watch the toon
View the Flash file
Lappynapped! This toon was released between cliffhangers and retirement as part of the Lappy-napping saga, but it was never listed on the Toons menu. It was only available through the "What's New" bubble. Watch the toon

Sbemail 200 Fakeout Similar to the above example, trying to access email 200 by typing in homestarrunner.com/sbemail200.html instead of homestarrunner.com/sbemailtwohundred.html linked here. Watch the toon

Kick the Can This appears to be the very first Kick the Can short made and is found on its own separate page. During this toon, a countdown and some titles are shown, followed by The Homestar Runner kicking a can. His head pops off, and he kicks the can up into his body. His head lands on his body, and then his legs bend backwards. It's possible that this could have been on the website before all the other variations were made, and was probably linked to in Oldest Toons Menu. Watch the toon

Slash slash slash! During a video interview, the URL "homestarrunner.com/slash/slash" can be seen on a whiteboard. Going to that URL reveals a secret video of Matt Chapman trying different voices for Dijjery Doo. Watch the toon

Unfinished toons
Sing Along An unfinished sing-along with Homestar Runner and Strong Bad. View the Flash file
Needlepernt A seemingly unfinished small cartoon of Homestar and Strong Bad on a sewn picture, possibly a reference to the one scene in property of ones. Its picture features Strong Bad standing in the Field. Homestar Runner walks up in the right, stops next to Strong Bad and opens his mouth. The text "Get Rid of a Few Things!" appears below. A similar scene briefly appears in From the Vault. Featured on the index page under the "old crap corner" on February 1, 2021. Watch the toon
View the Flash file
Eggs Once linked through a main page message reading "email soon", and later featured on the Old Crap Corner, this unfinished special features Easter Eggs designed after Homestar, Marzipan, Pom Pom, and Strong Bad. It was later featured on the index page's Old Crap Corner on March 29, 2021. Watch the toon

Alternate versions of toons
Marzipan's Answering Machine This is just Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 1.0, possibly before more versions were planned. It has a few minor differences from the current version. The font is a little different for both the number and the back link, it doesn't have the archive menu, and the Back button links to the Games Menu. Watch the toon
View the Flash file
The King of Town DVD Secret Commentary This is a secret version of Strong Bad's Commentary for The King of Town DVD without any visuals. It is identical to the normal version except for the end, where it explains why Strong Bad did the commentary. View the Flash file
Alternate The King of Town DVD Old Version This is a slight variation of the Old Version of The King of Town DVD. It does not contain a black border like the official Flash file, and lacks the "again" and "back" links at the end, as well as the Easter egg. When the animation is finished, the page directs to the King of Town DVD menu. View the Flash File
Secret Yello Dello Deleted Scene This is the scene from the In Search of the Yello Dello DVD where Strong Bad is talking with Marzipan, but it has a strange commentary at the beginning. Aside from not actually appearing on the deleted scenes menu, it differs from the other deleted scenes in several other ways, most notably that it's not really a "deleted" scene, as it is actually a scene from the toon itself. Additionally, its intro has a different font, background, and watch button from the others, and no title text. At the end, it fades to black and then loads the DVD menu, instead of providing "Back" and "Again" buttons as the others do. Watch the toon

Alternate Homestarloween Party Aside from lacking the NavBar, this toon is identical to Homestarloween Party. Watch the toon
halloween2 This page appears to be related to Homestarloween Party. The following text is contained in the page source:
Halloween Episode Written by Matt, Mike, and Craig Voices by Matt and Melissa Animation by Mike and Matt CORPORATE ROCK STILL SUCKS Homestar (Kurt Cobain) Strong sad (gorbachev) king of town (cap'n crunch) marzipan (jeanie) pom pom (stay-puft) coach z (flavor flav) bubs (rerun) poopsmith (tron) the cheat (garfield)
View the page
radish3 A blank page that appears to be related to The Reddest Radish. The page source contains the word "contest" repeatedly. View the page
Old "your friends" This is an alternate version of the email your friends. Differences: Strong Bad's mouth isn't visible in the reflection when he sings the email intro. The announcer on the TV Strong Mad is watching doesn't say "Some type of TV show." The background music stops at Strong Sad's scene. Some extra buzz saw blades and a bottle of hot sauce behind Strong Bad are gone in Marzipan's scene. The Cheat doesn't yell at Strong Bad, and Pom Pom does one less turn. Strong Bad isn't holding a bottle of hot sauce in Homsar's scene. The font used in the Hot Fries packaging is Ashbury instead of Aurora BdCn BT. At the end, Strong Bad says the word "fans" a little differently. View the Flash file
Metro.pop Interview An unfinished version of the short The Interview. Among other differences between it and the final, Strong Bad and Homestar talk without moving their mouths in the second half, Homestar doesn't take out his shopping list or his pen and notebook, Strong Sad doesn't say "En guarde?", and Strong Bad's last line is "Thank you for your time" as opposed to "Get out of my face". Once the cartoon is over, it repeats instead of having an ending screen like all the other Toons. Watch the toon

Old Main Page 6 This is an unfinished main page from 2000. The "new cartoon!" link goes to A Jorb Well Done, the "another homepage" goes to Main Page 10, the "more messages" link goes to Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 2.0, and the "new toons menu" link goes to the current toons menu. Also, the buttons on the left don't work correctly. Also note that email is above downloads, instead of below store. The only button with a special effect is "Email", which is the same as the normal main page 6 (except that Strong Bad's mouth doesn't open in surprise). Also, Homestar's mouth will move when the downloads or store buttons are moused over, but he won't say anything. Only downloads & the museum (H*R Button) actually work. The other buttons won't do anything. View the Flash file
