{Cut to The King of Town, Coach Z and Bubs.}
COACH Z: Oh jeez, I don't know, I think I prefer his work with the Furious 5 much more. Uh, he had more street cred back then...
{Homestar walks by, and continues to do so throughout the scene.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hey, thanks for coming to my party, guy-
{The cartoon pauses with a blue bar appearing in the upper-left. It reads "New DLC is available for this cartoon!"}
{The bar then reads "Downloading "2022 Costume Pack"", as a white line appears to download the pack.}
{The pack finishes downloading. The bar reads "DLC downloaded!"}
{The bar then reads "The cartoon will now restart.}"
{Cut to The King of Town, Coach Z and Bubs, who now are wearing different costumes.}
COACH Z: Oh jeez, I don't know, I think I prefer his work with the Furious 5 much more. Uh, he had more street cred back then...
{Homestar walks by, and continues to do so throughout the scene. His costume gushes blood and his voice has a reverb.}
HOMESTAR: Hey, thanks for coming to my party, guys. {rapping; Coach Z dances} Ahh, it's Coach Z to rock around, to rock around on time ah yeah, it's Coach Z!
{Switch to Strong Bad, Strong Mad and The Cheat.}
STRONG BAD: ...you know, I think it turned out pretty good. I mean Mom helped me do the boots {gestures to hat}, and I did the sewing—
{Homestar walks by.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Oh, lookin' good, Strong Bad. Death Clock forever, that's great!
STRONG BAD: Oooh, Death Clock ih- d—?! {shouting} For the last time, I'm some freakin' guy I chose at random from {not shouting} WarioWare.
STRONG MAD: YOU SHOULD HAVE PICKED THE DISCO GUY.
{Switch to Marzipan, Strong Sad, Pom Pom and The Poopsmith, who is bobbing for pumpkins. He picks up a pumpkin and spits it into the bucket twice.}
MARZIPAN: Yesterday, I was out in the garden, and I was weeding, and there was this little worm... and...
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Aww, everybody looks so great! {stops walking} You know, there's more punch over there, if anybody... wants any.
{At the last second of the shot, Homsar pops up from the pumpkin-bobbing pool.}
{Cut to Homestar.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: All riiiiiight, everybody! Line up! {holds up flashlight} We're gonna play {clicks flashlight on and off} Flashlight Ghost-Story-Telling with a Flashliiight! {thunder booms}
{Cut to Homestar at the front of the line, with Bubs and Pom Pom behind him.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Okay, okay, okay! I'll go first.
{A circle forms around him so his picture is now an inset of a new scene. The story begins in the Spooky Woods.}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Umm... okay! {talking spooky} Once, there was this green gobliiiin... {a goblin appears, accompanied by a musical sting} and um, he used to... look aroooound... {the goblin looks around, accompanied by a musical sting} And um, I guess he did a daaance. {the goblin dances to a short song} {breaking character} Oh man, that was terribl-
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Goblin Dance Moves Upgrade".}
{The bar finishes downloading. It then reads "DLC downloaded!".}
{It then reads "The cartoon will now restart."}
{The screen briefly fades to black, before fading back in.}
{The bar reads "Just kidding."}
{The goblin now does a more well-animated dance to the remix from Most In The Graveyard. Homestar onlooks.}
{Homestar passes the flashlight to Bubs.}
BUBS: And... the goblin, he had a Grem-
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Lesser Characters Ghost Story Expansion"}
{The bar finished downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!" Coach Z now takes Bubs' place.}
COACH Z: Had this gorblin! He bought a new fridge!
{The car turns into a fridge. As Coach Z speaks, the fridge is morphed to fit his description. The goblin nods.}
COACH Z: And he tricked it out with a drawer freezer, French doors, and an ice-maker that dispenses ballpark ice! Y'know, the kind that kinda looks like little icy tater-torts. {A pile of ice cubes dispenses from the fridge.} 36 by 65 inches, 28 cubic feet of food storage, I mean we're talking some freaking hus-tle! {A few elements from Bubs' Gremlin are added to the fridge.}
{Coach Z passes the flashlight to The Cheat, who makes Cheat noises throughout his segment. As he does, a zombie bursts out from the fridge. Another zombie emerges from behind, as does a pair of eyeballs from the ice pile, another zombie from a tree, and a drawing of the sun on the fridge. The Cheat passes the flashlight to Strong Mad.}
STRONG MAD: Ummm... THE GOBLIN IS WEARING A HAT! {A chef's hat appears on the goblin.} And... THE FRIDGE IS WEARING A HAT! {A wizard's hat appears on the fridge.} Duh... uh, A PILE OF HATS IS WEARING A HAT! {A pile of hats appears, and a large maroon top hat plops on top of the pile.}
STRONG BAD: Oh, brother! Gimme that! {snatches the flashlight from Strong Mad} So then the robot came—
{The Visor Robot appears onscreen, to the right.}
STRONG BAD: —and he started vaporizing everybody with his vapor-gu-
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Robot Graphical Upgrade".}
{The bar finishes downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!". The Visor Robot is now given a sleak black shiny coat.}
{the Visor Robot blasts everything but the fridge with red laser vision}
STRONG BAD: And he was like "You take this, and you'd better, you, and you take this, everybody's gonna die!" And then he said, {jumping backwards to crush the fridge underfoot} "Oh, the Gremlin! I hate the Goblin Gremlin! Bah!"
{The Visor Robot kicks the fridge over the trees. However, the Goblin, who has evaded the attack, stays behind.}
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Strong Bad Human Nose Pack".}
{The bar finishes downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!" The circle zooms in to the center of the screen, as the nose of Strong Bad's costume is replaced with a more CG-looking one, with doingle boingle physics.}
STRONG BAD: Oh man, this nose is amazing! Look at it doingle boingle! {Strong Bad rocks his head back and forth} Doingle boingle doingle boingle dongle boingle… I need to get some more punch.
{The circle zooms back out to its original position. Strong Bad passes the flashlight to the King of Town and walks off}
THE KING OF TOWN: Oooh, oooh!
{The Visor Robot and Goblin stand across from each other and all the food appears that the King mentions in between them.}
THE KING OF TOWN: And then there was fried fish and Heavenly Ha-
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Nerf The King Of Town's Food Dumbness?" Two options are presented; "Yes" and "Very Yes". The latter is selected.}
{All the food inexplicably disappears. Strong Sad instantly takes his place.}
STRONG SAD: And so it turns out the robot had a human brain {a circle showing the interior of the Robot's head shows a human brain inside it} that was stolen from a ki-
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Strong Sad's Less Pathetic Voice Sound Pack"}
{The bar finishes downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!"
{A boy and a girl walk in from the left.}
STRONG SAD: {Now with his modern voice} -kindly old man. And the children of that old man came to the robot looking for their father, and they called out to him.
{A speech bubble with an exclamation point in it appears on the girl. They move in closer.}
STRONG SAD: And the robot's human brain remembered his children and his stolen life, and he was moved to tears.
{Tears drip down from the robot's visor, which causes sparks to appear on his exterior.}
STRONG SAD: But the tears shorted out his circuits, and fried his brain.
{The robot topples over, crushing the two kids and the goblin. The robot's brain is thrown clear and begins to slide in a pool of brain juice.}
STRONG SAD: And the robot toppled over, and he crushed his children, and the Goblin, too. And none of them lived.
{Cut to Bubs, Coach Z, and The King of Town crying.}
COACH Z: {crying} Oh, jeez, what a total downer!
{They walk away, still crying.}
{Cut to a wide shot as everyone begins leaving.}
STRONG BAD: Oh man, I'm outta here!
{The Poopsmith sighs deeply and walks away.}
MARZIPAN: {crying} That's the saddest story I've ever heard! You can't come to next year's party.
{Marzipan walks away crying, }
HOMESTAR RUNNER: {sadly} Gee... thanks for coming to my party, Strong Sad.
{Homestar sighs and walks away.}
{Everyone except Strong Sad leaves, and crickets start chirping. An owl hoots as Strong Sad clicks the flashlight on and off a few times.}
{The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Modicum of Effort on the Animation Pack"}
{The bar finishes downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!"}
{Strong Sad is now animated like he is clicking the flashlight on and off. A close-up circle is added to the right for emphasis.}
{Cut to the ending screen, showing the moon behind the trees. A far-off wolf howls.}
{The old-style costume list screen pops up. The blue bar re-appears. It reads "Downloading "Later That Night"}
{The bar finishes downloading. It reads "DLC downloaded!". The scene changes to the since-2001 standard stand-around-and-comment-on-each-others'-costume screen.}
STRONG BAD: Woah! I forgot this cartoon didn't have a stand around and comment on each other's costumes part.
STRONG SAD: The tradition of standing around in the spooky woods after a Halloween cartoon and commenting on one other's costumes began in 2001 with the cartoon The House—
STRONG BAD: Ugh! Pipe down, you walking Homestar Runner Wiki!
STRONG SAD: This cartoon contains another reference to the Homestar Runner Wiki.
STRONG BAD: This cartoon's about to contain another instance of blood if you don't shut up.
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Ooh, I can help with that!
{He leans over and spurts blood out of his arm hole, then alternating to the other side, then both}
HOMESTAR RUNNER: Ptoo! Ptoo! Instance of blood!

COACH Z: {scatting and dancing to the tune of Walk this Way}
