Bubs Chuck Barris Chuck Barris (1929-2017) is a former television producer who found success as a creator and producer of game shows in the 1960s and 1970s. One of these was The Gong Show, a talent competition where celebrity panelists could use a hammer like the one Bubs is holding to strike a giant gong onstage to stop a poor performance by a contestant. Pom Pom Wilson Wilson is the volleyball that Chuck Nolan, played by Tom Hanks, was left to talk to while stranded on a remote island in the film Cast Away.
