[edit] Formatting problems

I'm not sure if templates are allowed to have talk pages, but here's my question. Is there anyway we can get the text to wrap around the pictures on the main page? Right now the store notice is stretching it out ridiculously and I've noticed it doing this before. —mibluvr13 23:08, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

She. And of course that's all relative, because it's much less on a lot of screens. If I narrow my window enough, however, the text does start to flow around the images, which is why I was looking for more information. — It's dot com 23:45, 5 Oct 2005 (UTC)

My resolution is only 800 by 600, which I'm guessing now is rather small these days, and I'm using Firefox if that helps at all. I played around with my window, but the text doesn't flow around the image for me at least. For lack of a better way to describe it, here's a screenshot.

Other than one side being indented and the other side not, I don't see a substantial difference between the two. They both wrap under the image beneath it, which apparently is not happening for mibluvr13. — It's dot com 00:48, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Yep, that's it. Mozilla Firefox. Both wrap fine on IE. (But I'm not switching.) - Joshua

Okay, I'm away from my standard (intentionally very low cache) computer, I know, but I don't see the "New Toon Soon" notice... Does anyone else? I already cleared my cache here... --Jay (Talk) 01:31, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

And, you see, this is why I do keep my home computer's cache extremely low! With a fast enough connection, it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference to loading times and the pages are refreshed better. That's not a feature of the software we use. See HRWiki:Feeds for the feeds that we do have. Perhaps something like this feed would better suit your needs? -- Tom 22:30, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, annony, what it looks like to me is that I can can edit it, and other logged-in users can edit it, but you can't. This means that the page is semi-protected. Someone else could give you (and me) details. -- Super Martyo boing! 22:29, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Yup — also, brand-new users are unable to edit semi-protected pages, so you may want to create an account in case you see an update to add in the future. If you create one when you find an update and want to immediately edit a semi-protected page, you won't be able to. Trey56 22:47, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Even if you are not registered or logged in, you are still able to update the H*R.com updates page. Once that page is updated, it shouldn't be long before the main page is updated by someone else. —BazookaJoe 22:57, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] removing old to balance with featured article

Are any stats available for the screen resolution most people here use? Currently, on the main page, for my resolution of 1280x1024, the featured article ends just above the July 10 text (the second from bottom one). A smaller resolution like 1024x768 would best remove the bottom entry from June 30 only, and for an even smaller resolution, like 800x600, the featured article section is a little bit larger than the whats new section. So...what resolution should it be made for? --Mini-Geek 14:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

As of January 2008, 1024×768 was in use by about half the clients out there, with most of the other half having something higher. — It's dot com 19:52, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

the sbemail 201 aka hremail3184 is a sbemail since it appears in the sbemails page unlike hremails, which appear at the toons page and therefore, it's title on this template should be changed.

We know. It's listed as a Strong Bad Email on the main updates page. It's listed as a Hremail on the main page because TBC intended for the reveal of Strong Bad to be a surprise, and thus we're not spoiling it. — It's dot com 18:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Purging is at the editor's discretion. Usually we try to keep it balanced with a length to match the current Featured Article. --DorianGray 21:15, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

I don't know if there's going to be more Kickstarter updates in the near or distant future, but if there is, I would vote to use an icon featuring The Cheat getting kicked. 68.37.43.131 02:59, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

That's a good idea in theory, but the icons are so small, it would be hard to tell that he's being kicked. Plus, Kickcheater is probably too obscure. I vote for the Kickstarter "K" icon. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 21:17, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
