[edit] Using Show Preview

Hello Lazylaces, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, I R F 15:11, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Lacylaces. Just a reminder about the "Show preview" button. It really is important to use. And helpful! =] Have a good one. OptimisticFool 17:05, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
I know, it's just I have bad short term memory loss... Hey look! a butterfy! -- Lazylaces Talk 17:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Hey—I like your signature! Nothing brightens up a talk page quite like Strong Sad's severed head :) By the way, do you know how to save your signature so that you can leave it whenever you want by typing three tildes (~~~)? Help:Signature has instructions on how to do it; let me know if you have any questions. High fives, Trey56 21:37, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but seems to me like you're copying and pasting you're own signature. I don't know if you're aware of this (forgive me if you are), but you can also have your signature stored in your user space. The Help:Signature page has all the instructions on how to use it and I'm sure it would save you lots of effort. --Stux 21:31, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What?

What are you talking about? Lazylaces Talk 13:24, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

What I mean is that we have a page so that when you hit the signature button on the editor (the one that pastes the --~~~~ symbols into the text, automagically copies your signature into the page you're editing! At least my guess is that you're manually copying your signature into the text, since your signature appears in full text. (Unlike say, Trey56's which comes up as {{User:Trey56/sig}}). --Stux 13:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
BTW since this wiki is so small, we have a habit of keeping all discussions in one user page in order to keep the flow of the conversation. Weird, huh? (Okay so I think the Wikipedia's way is sorta weird, but necessary.) --Stux 13:44, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ok

Fixed it- -- Lazylaces Talk 13:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Cool! Looks nice! Very niiice! :) I also fixed the sig, since the date isn't really part of it. --Stux 15:17, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Text

I've spent a load of time trying to get another font into my signature, but no matter what i try, it's not working! What do you do?

As you know your sig image has a gray background in it, you might want to use this image instead, since it has a transparent background. --Stux 16:14, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Recent edit to your page

Hi, Lazylaces. An edit was recently made to your user page by an unknown IP address. According to wiki policy, this edit was reverted. If you made this edit while not logged in, you can replace the changes you made by logging in, going to this version of your page ([1]), clicking "edit", and saving the page. If this edit was not made by you, no action on your part is necessary. Thank you very much. Trey56 18:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fix your page?

I'm not sure what your userpage is supposed to look like, but I think I fixed your userboxes. Shwoo 13:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

There's still that green bar across the page. I have taken the liberty of hiding it for the time being (revert if that's not what you wanted for now). My guess is that you want the background of the user box table to be green, no? If that's the case the template will have to be copied or modified through parameters. Let me know what you intended to do with the green box. --Stux 17:21, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Good Call

Congratulations Lazylaces on nominating Cheerleader for being a featured article. I was totally jealous. Well, congratulations again. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 11:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A bit of a 'cheat'

I happened to find your page on Wikipedia - I was looking up pages that use the tab feature same as mine does, because I created an improved version and I was checking for the pages that use the old one - and saw your riddle which asked using the page User:Lazylaces/start and wants someone to give the page ending up that points them here as the 'reward' for finding the answer to your riddle. Well, I kind of cheated: type the following into your browser's url window, and you'll see what I mean:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3APrefixindex&from=lazylaces&namespace=2

Finding your page 'the brothers chaps' was then trivial. Since one of the Homestar Runner characters is 'The Cheat' I thought it was appropriate. My username on Wikipedia is the same: Rfc1394. Thought you might find this interesting. -- Paul Robinson (User:Rfc1394, or Talk Page) or visit My Blog 22:33, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Dear Lazylaces. I played your riddle game without cheating as much as Paul, and I think I think User:Lazylaces/TBC should be an acceptable answer (redirect) for "The Brothers Chaps" question. :) — It's dot com 22:52, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Done properly. And why don't you have the riddle listed on your user page? Well, it's listed now anyway... --Addict 2006 03:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A little note

Hey Lazylaces, how's it going? Good to see you around :) One quick thing I wanted to mention: when you vote on STUFF items, be sure to sign with three tildes (~~~) instead of four, since timestamps aren't necessary in the voting table. That's all. See ya around! Trey56 00:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Userboxes

Maybe you like it how it is, but you can prevent a lot of white space on your user page by putting |} on the line after all your userboxes, and moving the whole shebang to the top of the page. Hope that helps! OptimisticFool 16:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yay!

Its almost 200th email tyme! -- Lazylaces Talk 18:05, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Yup, though at the rate they release them we still have at least two months to go, and probably more than three. — It's dot com 19:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 2000?

What was the 2000th article created? -- Lazylaces Talk 14:36, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

THere were actually 2, since i created Biggest Waste of X and then something else got deleted, bringing it back down to 1999, then OptimisticFool created more like. — Defender1031*Talk 14:38, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
