Well, I'm a guy who loves the Homestar Runner Wiki. You can call me Michael. I spend most of my time online on the HRWiki, because it has so much information about Homestar, it makes me want to edit all of it and make friends. I now spend less time on it then ever... Now, I know a LOT of things that I didn't before Homestar Runner. If this and this hadn't have entered my life, I might not have a worthwhile one. I also have a very high interest in Nintendo, particularly the Nintendo Entertainment System, and my biggest gaming challenge is, and most likely will continue to be, Star Fox Adventures. My God, I wonder around in that game more than I do in an airport and the mall combined. Puzzles kill me, see. Also, I've recently taken interest in the Open Pandora project, and Linux itself. Great fun, both of them are.

How I discovered Homestar Runner

I discovered Homestar a former friend that I am no longer affiliated with, told me about Homestar Runner. He said that an older kid told him about the site, and he told me the URL annoyingly 15 times. I never listened, because I didn't think it was worthwhile. When I had my end-of-the-school-year party, he showed me First Time Here? And I was all but dumbfounded. I wasn't very impressed until he showed me underlings, and I fell in love. After they left, I was literally foaming at the mouth to see more of this wonderful site. Unfortunately, I joined around the time Takin' a Baby Break was going on, and by the time the site was updated again, I had seen every cartoon, memorized the site, and seen almost every Strong Bad Email. I saw literally every one when I made a videotape of all the Sbemails on my Wii browser.

How I discovered the Homestar Runner Wiki

A long time ago, February 6 of 2008 to be exact, I was sitting in bed one night and I was watching H*R on my Wii. A few weeks ago, I had accidentally discovered The Secrets That I Keep. I had an obsession of cine projectors at the time, and I remembered the page title, so I Googled it. The link to the Wiki page was the first link to come up, so I clicked it. I saw the page and thought it was some boring cult and never paid much attention to it. I frantically searched until I found the link to the Homestar Runner page, and I ignored everything else. After 3 times of visiting, I thought I should explore more. I clicked the Main Page button and I explored several articles. I knew I was hooked. I set up an account and made lots of friends and edits.

My Experiences

I've been using HRWiki for quite a while, and I've noticed a few things. For one, never do too much stuff to your user page at one time. It makes you look like a complete newbie. Another is never spam on another user's talk page about asking for help about making a sig. That also makes you look like a newbie. The admins are also very sensitive about personal attacks. If they are being seemingly unfair, just be cool and brush it off. And another thing that really bothers me about new user pages. If you're going to have userboxes, finish it off with a |} to end the template.

Fonts

As you can see in my userboxes, I like to download a lot of fonts. Here's how to download your own:

In Windows XP, download your font. Then, right-click on the .zip file and hit Extract all or Extract All Files. Then, go to the Start menu and click Run. Type in fonts or Fonts. A menu of files should pop up. Now, go to My Documents or your Desktop and you should see a file that looks like the file in the folder called Fonts. Drag the TrueType or OpenType font file to that list, and you're done!
