Part 1: Beat The Snot Out of Homestar Runner? Sure!

House of the Brothers Strong:

After Strong Bad gets done reading the email, click the lower lightswitch twice for 12% towards the Exploration Trophy. Next, head down the stairs to the kitchen. For another 12% towards the Exploration Trophy open the fridge. Now, head left through the living room, and then cross the hall and go into Strong Bad's room. For help in obtaining optional game components later, grab the Taranchula Black Metal Detector. For another 12% towards the Exploration Trophy, look at the Videlectrix poster twice. Click the Fun Machine to turn on Snake Boxer 5; upon quitting (one need not even play the game at this point), Strong Bad will realize his Snake Boxer 5 manual is missing. For 20% towards the Nuisance Trophy, head downstairs to kick The Cheat into the dryer and talk to him once while inside. Now open the map, place the race track somewhere and click on it to head over there.

Race Track:

Go up to Homestar Runner and talk to him about both the race and the Snake Boxer 5 manual in either order. Then exit the conversation by clicking the down arrow to the right of the conversation options. Marzipan will call him, Homestar will hang up and kick the phone away, near Coach Z. He will then storm off into the Locker Room. Run over and grab the phone. Now, bring up the map, place Marzipan's house somewhere and click on it to head on over.

Marzipan's House:

Once at Marzipan's, take the opportunity to prank call everyone you can except for Marzipan; you can't prank call her while you're here. For another 20% towards the Nuisance Trophy, ring Marzipan's doorbell four times. Now head towards Marzipan's back yard, but stop to observe the untrimmed hedge on the way. Continue to far end of the back yard and take an onion from the garden. Now talk to Marzipan about the hedge and the Snake Boxer 5 manual. Next, place Bubs' Concession Stand on your map and go there next.

Bubs' Concession Stand:

Talk to Bubs about Marzipan's hedge clippers and he will give them to you. For another 20% towards the Nuisance Trophy, insult Bubs once. For 33% towards the Strong Sad Trophy, insult Bubs a second time. Now head left. For a page of the Snake Boxer 5 manual, peer under the nearby cardboard box. Continue left, pass the brick wall and stop to use the shears on the untrimmed hedge. This allows you to collect the leftover hedge trimmings which will be useful later, and it earns you 25% towards the Hedge Clipping Trophy. Continue left and stop at The Stick (which will be added to your map automatically). For another 12% towards the Exploration Trophy, look at The Stick twice. Continue left and pass closely by the Drive-Thru Whale to have it added to your map. Stop just after passing the fence to peer under the cardboard box and you'll obtain Strong Bad's Data Boys polo shirt. Continue left and closely pass the Snap Shak and the Cool Car to have them added to your map. When you reach Strong Badia (which will also be added to your map), stop and pull out Homestar's phone. Use it to call Marzipan, and then Homsar. Now go to Marzipan's house.

Marzipan's House:

Get the balloons from off the mailbox, and then head toward the back yard. For another 25% toward the Hedge Clipping Trophy, stop to use the shears on the untrimmed hedge. In the back yard, use the hedge clippers on the Homestar float. After narrowly escaping detection, journey back to the Track.

Race Track:

Enter the locker room. For another 20% toward the Nuisance Trophy, talk to Homestar three times about the race. Use the onion on Homestar. Now talk to Homestar about showering and he'll enter the showers and leave his clothes in his locker. Open the middle locker and take Homestar's clothes. For another 12% of the Exploration Trophy, open the locker on the right and look at the lunchbox within. Now exit the locker room and talk to Coach Z about the Snake Boxer 5 manual. Now put on the Homestar costume and talk to Coach Z to begin the race.

Race:

While on the log, maintain your balance by rotating the Wiimote or moving the mouse to the left and right. While you can't fall off, Strong Bad won't really move forward unless he's in the middle. After you're done on the log and Strong Bad picks up the Heavy Lourde and gets on the pogo stick, keep pressing A to get to the end. After that, just press A when the game prompts you to, which makes you jump over the obstacles. No matter how well you do this segment, you'll never beat Coach Z or Pom Pom's time.

Part 2: Starring H. Runner as The Fugitive!

House of the Brothers Strong:

Click the TV in the basement and watch the news about naked Homestar. Head upstairs and into the kitchen to grab the Jela-Ton (tm) from the table. Now go upstairs and click on the Lappy to read the email with the subject "Got Bulk?" from TLT INC. Immediately sit back down at the Lappy and read the new message from TLT INC. Now open the map and put The King of Town's castle on it somewhere, then click on the race track to head there.

Race Track:

Use the Jela-Ton on the pool. Now take the pile of coupons that are next to the stands. Continue right and use the balloons on the Heavy Lourde. Continue right and use the microphone to dislodge the costume mustache from the speaker. For another 12% towards the Exploration Trophy, use the microphone a second time. For another 25% towards the Hedge Clipping Trophy, use the shears on the untrimmed hedge here. Now click on the turtle and exchange it with the curdled milk, then click the curdled milk and exchange it with the hurdle. Head left now to pick up the mustache by the pool, and then open the map and click on Bubs' Concession Stand.

Bubs' Concession Stand:

Talk to Bubs about the Snake Boxer 5 manual and he'll give you a page, ask him about the Total Load and he'll give you the free sample tub you ordered, and ask him about candy (or hand him a coupon) and he'll give you some chocolate-covered organic packing peanuts. Head now to the King of Town's Castle.

The King of Town's Castle:

Use the shears on the hedge here, completing the Hedge Clipping Trophy. Now click on the castle door to go in. Take the shovel by the wall next to the drain, and then click on the statue to hide behind it. The Poopsmith will stop shoveling and move to another pile of whatsit; as he starts shoveling the other pile in this room, start moving to the right toward the doorway to the next room. For another 12% look at the pile of whatsit on your way by (although looking at any pile of whatsit will gain the 12%, this one can be viewed en route). Once through the doorway, grab the plunger here. When The Poopsmith begins shoveling the original pile, move back to the left of the statue. Once there, stick the plunger on the drain on the wall and climb on it. At sometime during this process, The Poopsmith will see you and call in Strong Mad. (If you need more time, you can hide behind various objects in the room; however, it is necessary for The Poopsmith to see you before you jump into the vent or you cannot get the criminal record later.) From on top of the plunger, jump up into the vent overhead. Follow the vent on to the right and click on Homestar's criminal record to drop down and pick it up. Strong Mad will catch you and throw you out, but you have what you went in for. Back outside the castle again, use the metal detector to locate a hidden treasure. Use the shovel at the treasure marker to uncover a page of the Snake Boxer 5 manual. Head now to Marzipan's house.

Marzipan's House:

Select the shovel and use it on the loose dirt near the mailbox. For a Teen Girl Squad card depicting a candy bar, put Total Load in the resulting hole. For another 33% towards the Strong Sad Trophy, now put the ChocoOpps in the hole. Next, put hedge clippings over the hole. Now bring up the map and head to Bubs' Concession Stand.

Bubs' Concession Stand:

Talk to Bubs about candy (or hand him a coupon) to get more ChocoOpps. Head right to Strong Badia and use the metal detector there to locate a hidden treasure. Use the shovel at the treasure marker to uncover a Teen Girl Squad card depicting a book. Continue right to the Gremlin and use the shovel on it to pry open the hood and discover a Teen Girl Squad card depicting some keys. Then head back to Marzipan's house.

Marzipan's House:

Put the ChocoOpps on Marzipan's porch and watch the cut scene. For another 12% of the Exploration Trophy, click on the hole to talk to The King of Town; assuming you've completed the other requirements, the remaining 4% will be given to you at this point and you'll receive the trophy. Now head back to the race track.

Race Track:

Enter the locker room and open the locker on the left. Use the Total Load on Pom Pom's bag. Now go behind the lockers and knock on Coach Z's office door. For the final 20% of the Nuisance Trophy, insult Coach Z and you'll receive the trophy (after the conversation with Coach Z ends). Now talk to Coach Z about Total Load and he'll investigate the lockers and disqualify Pom Pom. Next, exit the locker room and use the metal detector under the Race to the End of the Race banner to locate a hidden treasure. Use the shovel at the treasure marker to uncover a Teen Girl Squad card depicting a megaphone. Now head right to the camera and press the ERASE button.

Race:

Same as the last time, but your goal is to get below 22 seconds, which should be easy now that you've managed to clear all the obstacles. After your victory, you'll be awarded the Silver Trophy of Ultimate Destiny. If your score was better than 16 seconds, it will be in the green on Strong Bad's "How much I rule" chart. If not, you can re-run the race with no spectactors to improve that score. Now, move on to the House of Strong.

House of the Brothers Strong:

To get Strong Bad's black beanie cap, open the mailbox. Next, use the metal detector to locate a hidden treasure in the yard. Use the shovel at the treasure marker to uncover a page from the Snake Boxer 5 manual. Assuming you've followed the walkthrough, this should be the final page of the manual revealing the cheat code: Up, Up, Down, Up, Start. To get another 33% towards the Strong Sad Trophy, look at the pile of dirt left from digging in the yard; assuming you've completed the other requirements, the remaining 1% will be given to you at this point and you'll receive this fourth and final trophy. Now go into the kitchen and give the phone to Homestar. Homestar will leave his chef hat on the microwave; pick it up to add it to your collection of costume items. Next, go to Strong Bad's Room and use the race trophy on Homestar. Now with Homestar out of the way of the drawing table, you can use the formerly-missing Teen Girl Squad cards to cause the demise of the Teen Girl Squad members in such a way as to obtain a score of 5000 points (anything less will not be enough for the score to be green on Strong Bad's chart) and receive a hidden Teen Girl Squad card depicting a roach (for complete information on this, see Homestar Ruiner Teen Girl Squad). Now, to get a score in the green for Snake Boxer 5, play the game and get at least 15 knockouts (with or without using the cheat code). With that, you should achieve the rank of Chains Bocce Bowler and get the championship belt costume item. Next, head downstairs and show the criminal record to Homestar. With that, the scene will end.

Part 3: This Is A No "People I Hate" Party Zone!

Back in his computer room, while Strong Bad attempts to respond to his email, he learns that his house is now filled with people. To get rid of them, first turn on the See Dee Spinner and set it to The Cheat's assorted Latin rhythms and everyone will join a conga line. Next, pick up the banana peel that is on the floor by the kitchen table. Now, click on the Luxa Lounger to extend it, and use the banana peel on the conga line as it approaches the window. A final cut scene will begin, and then the credits will roll. After the credits roll, a preview for Strong Badia the Free is shown.

Congratulations, you've just beaten Homestar Ruiner!

Beating the game unlocks the Extended Play Mode. After following this walkthrough, by merely loading Extended Play your rank increases to its highest level: Trogdor Polo Chucker.

    • The Track

    • Insult Bubs twice
    • Throw candy into a hole next to Marzipan's mailbox, when it's not covered
    • Look at the dirt after digging up the Manual Page in the Strong House front yard
    • After you do all 3 of those you will get the remaining 1%

Costume Items

The following are the location of all the costume items in the game. After finding each one it will be moved to the costume selection inside the Snap Shak, with the exception of the last one. If you leave the Snap Shak before taking on your costume, you will automatically take them off to keep you from removing the costumes from the Snap Shak. Although, after you beat the game, you can take them out and walk around with them on as a reward.

  • Burglar Beanie - Inside Strong Bad's mailbox, outside his house.
  • Biz Cas Fri Shirt - Inside the box located by the The Gremlin.
  • Mustache - Wedged inside the leftmost speaker at the track. Using the microphone on the right side of the track will result in the mustache falling out of the speaker and landing on the ground nearby.
  • Chef Hat - After you get Homestar out of your kitchen, he will leave his chef hat on the WavyMic.
  • Champion's Belt - Rank up to Chainsaw Bocce Bowler.
  • Bear Shirt - There are two ways to get the bear shirt, although one of them may be a glitch.
    • Click on the leftmost light and your cursor will become the shirt. Then click on Strong Bad and you will put it on. After you take it off, it will not return to the costume selection. You will have to get it again.
    • Run off the right end of the platform three times. After the third you will be on the under side of the platform. Walk over to the bottom of the entrance and Strong Bad will immediately put it on. After you take it off, it will not return to the costume selection. You will have to get it again.

Manual Pages

There are four Manual Pages of the Snake Boxer V manual to be found. Once you find all four, you get a secret code to play Snake Boxer V as a snake. There are four places that have a page, but each place doesn't have a specific page. You get the four pages in order, no matter what order you search the places. This is to make sure you get the last page last, for it is the page that has the code on it. These are the four places:

  • In the box by Bubs' Concession Stand.
  • Buried in front of the Strong House.
  • Buried in front of the King of Town's Castle.
  • Ask about the manual to Homestar, Marzipan, Coach Z, and Bubs, in that order. Alternatively, you can just talk to Bubs in extended play mode.

After you get all four you will see that the code is up, up, down, up, start.

Teen Girl Squad Cards

There are five secret Teen Girl Squad index cards on which Strong Bad jotted down an idea on how to kill off one of the girls.

  • Megaphone - Buried at The Track.
  • Candy Bar - In a hole next to Marzipan's House. Pour total load down it.
  • Car Keys - Under the hood of the Cool Car (use the shovel).
  • Book - Buried in Strong Badia.
  • Roach - Use the other four ideas properly in a comic.

Easter Eggs

Several times in the game there are Easter eggs that do not get you anything or advance the story in any way. The sole purpose of them is to be humorous. This is a list of them.

  • Put the Total Load in Strong Mad's lunch before framing Pom Pom.
  • Each time you erase the results of the race (before winning it), you get a different intro to the race.
  • If you frame Pom Pom with the Total Load before you run the race for the second time, you get different scenes and dialogue.
