The Dancing Brothers wander the land of the Folk Tale World and dance to the song "Gonna Have a Good Time Tonight." Presumably siblings, their names left to right are Glenn, Martbell, and The Killer Dynamo. Seemingly at random, Coach Z attempts to insert them into the story of Saddy Dumpington in A Folky Tale. Before they dance, everyone present stands aside and a banner appears that reads "The Dancing Brothers". Their appearances are cut short by broken shoes and an allergy to foxes so severe that they sneeze themselves comatose.
+
+
The Dancing Brothers are drawn in a style reminiscent of that seen in Teen Girl Squad. The member Martbell might be a reference to Marty Beller of They Might Be Giants. All of the members look relatively the same with a circular head and two stick legs attached to shoes. However, The Killer Dynamo is the only member to be distinguished by striped shoes rather than the plain ones of the other two members. According to Mike Chapman on the DVD commentary for road trip, the band that sings their theme song might be called "The Power Surge".

"The Homestar Runner Mysfit-steries" is a Scooby Doo-like cartoon written by Youdbetterbelieveit Chimendez that represents Strong Bad's memory of when he, Strong Mad, Homestar Runner, and Marzipan were teenagers in the Strong Bad Email "highschool". Common plot threads apparently included debating the existence of "mysterious", as well as Strong Bad and Strong Mad's attempts to emancipate Homestar from his ridiculous stripèd pants. Each of the characters bears a resemblance to a Scooby Doo character: Strong Bad looks like Shaggy, Homestar looks like Fred, Strong Mad looks like Velma, and Marzipan looks like Daphne.
+
+
At Homestar's insistence, the group plays in a band "just to be safe" from the "mysterious" abandoned pie factory. In this band, Homestar plays the guitar and sings (without his usual speech impediment), Marzipan plays the tambourine, Strong Bad plays the keyboard, and Strong Mad plays the drums (the same instrument he played in Cool Tapes). Their only known song to date is "Havin' Fun With My Friends".
+
+
As Strong Bad states, he has an "extremely unphotographic" memory. With that in mind, it's unlikely that this account of the characters' pasts can be considered canon. It is also possible to conclude the same thing from the fact that in senior prom, the characters appear as their normal selves, despite attending their "high school senior prom". The synopsis given at iTunes claims Strong Bad's flashbacks in the email are "a buncha stuff that's not true."

The genesis of the band took place in class at school with all four members present, in the week of their school's Battle of the Bands in Teen Girl Squad Issue 8. The name Smartly Pretty was originally suggested by So and So, but was overruled by Cheerleader, who came up with the present name. After practices in Mrs. So-and-so-erson's Walk-in Closet they were ready for their debut at the Battle of the Bands, which was less than spectacular due to the swift and brutal deaths of band members meted out by Strong Bad's imagination.
+
+
At the end of Kissyboots' brief run, all the original members except for Cheerleader had been replaced by a shark, who broke into the band by inexplicably replacing What's Her Face's bass mid-performance and eating her "most of [her]". It is assumed that the shark then ate Cheerleader at the end of the song, as Cheerleader sings "everybody died 'cept me" before a chomping sound is heard, followed by her saying "Aww, crap".
+

Cheerleader played what looks like a Jackson King V, although it may be a Gibson Flying V. Neither Cheerleader nor What's Her Face have a strap on their guitar, and the guitars don't seem to be plugged in. Only the kick drum on The Ugly One's drum kit touches the ground.

Three-to-one marny?

Especially in Strong Bad Email Easter eggs, a book related to the text clicked or the topic at hand will appear.

Most books that appear on the website are usually authored by a person with the last name of Sportsinterview and often make one or two appearances, while there are other books by different (if named) authors that appear on a similar basis. These books, along with minor magazines, are listed below.

Books

More Like You Write A Book About Come-back Jokes, NERD!!

"More like, YOU write a book about comeback jokes, NERD!!"

More Like You Write A Book About Come-back Jokes, NERD!! is a book written by Strong Bad in 50 emails in response to Mike's email, which asked him to make a book about comeback jokes.

It can be seen again in garage sale where it was for sale for $50, and held by Coach Z, along with many other "GREAT FOR BABY!" items.

Three-to-One Marny

The rules

Three-to-One Marny is a board game "created" by Lem Sportsinterviews. The name is spoken by Strong Bad in the email army amid confusion while describing his gang, consisting of him, Strong Mad and The Cheat. He first says that they are a "one-man army", then "three-man oney", and finally "three-to-one marny?"

In the same email, a rule book for the game is accessible via an Easter egg:

 • Pick three (3) cards.
 • Roll one(1) die.
 • Whoever has the best hand, moves ahead one(1) space.
 • The player to reach the endzone first, wins.

Magazines

Husky Headed Boys Back 2 School Catalog

Styles upon Styles for your return to school!

Husky Headed Boys Back 2 School Catalog is a catalog released in late June catering to male children with large crania returning to school in the fall. The Summer 2005 edition featured a headshot of Strong Bad sporting the latest back-to-school style, a product of his photo session with Pom Pom in the email modeling. Husky Headed Boys paid Strong Bad $108 in royalties, which he claimed would "bring home a few months' worth of bacon."

Nerdular Nerdence

Say it again!

Nerdular Nerdence is a magazine that is targeted toward the needs and lifestyle of nerds, such as Strong Sad. Some of the topics it discusses include electrons, scalene triangles, and least common denominators. The name is a portmanteau of "nerd" and the magazine "Popular Science". The magazine appeared in an Easter egg in the email car.

Scarfgirl

Fashion AND environment stuff?

Scarfgirl is a popular women's magazine which includes, among other things, fashion and environment periodicals. In secret identity, Strong Bad wrote a column for it under the pseudonym "Cara Carabowditbowdit" in an attempt to make the girls of the world "cooler for all us dudes." Marzipan reads the magazine with Homestar Runner, though she doesn't approve of Strong Bad's column or his "pseudoname". Homestar thought this was because Marzipan was jealous of Cara getting all the hot boys, though Strong Bad dissuaded him. Some other topics it discusses in the featured February issue include "Is Politics Bad?", "Hybrid Cars!", "Celeb Shockers!" and "A Purse!"

The magazine's cover model, as confirmed by the DVD commentary, is Jackie Chapman. In Hremail 62, the Scarfgirl Jazzler was revealed to have created Homestar's emperor star.

Stookley's Hundredaire Socialite

Out on the scene

Stookley's Hundredaire Socialite is a magazine that Strong Bad seems to enjoy reading. It chronicles the social lives of those who have earned, through business savvy and sound investing, well over a hundred dollars. The January 2005 issue profiled the masterminds behind the Videlectrix computer game company. The word hundredaire comes from the Strong Bad Email suntan. It appeared as an Easter egg in the email part-time job.

Stupid Coincidence Magazine

I sure wasn't betting on it.

Stupid Coincidence Magazine is a periodical on whose cover Homestar Runner appeared, coincidentally at the same time that Strong Bad appeared on the cover of "Husky Headed Boys Back 2 School Catalog", in the email modeling. The Barbershop Trio is a group of three identical gentlemen who perform the Old-Timey version of The Cheat Theme Song, "The Ballad of The Sneak". They resemble The Announcer and are likely his Old-Timey counterpart(s). Their voices are provided by members of DaVinci's Notebook.

They appeared a second time in a Fish Eye Lens Easter egg, singing the line "Several syncopations tonight, several syncopations tonight", this time appearing to be voiced by Matt Chapman.

Teenage Homestar plays his guitar left handed. Teenage Strong Bad plays keyboard despite not having visible fingers.

Kindred Soul is a religious metal band introduced in Comic Book Movie. Strong Bad describes them as "the kind that try and offset their religiousness with evil fonts and drippy graphics". Kindred Soul is spelled with an A on their only album "Alive as one", misspelled because of what Strong Bad said in the email band names (he said "And the other way is to take a really cool word but spell it all wrong", which he did with this band). The jagged, drippy graphics look very similar to the "TARANCHULA" and "LAZOR" logos.

Teen Girl Band

Kissyboots is a band consisting of the entire Teen Girl Squad, with Cheerleader (singer and pretend-to-play-guitarist), So and So (keyboardist), What's Her Face (begrudging bass guitarist) and The Ugly One (drummer).

The K.O.T.H.S. Junior Varsity Marching Band ("K.O.T.H.S." apparently standing for The "King of Town High School") is a marching band consisting of The King of Town (drum major), The Poopsmith (cymbals), The Hornblower (horn), and The Knight (bass drum). They played in the 4Tst Annual Fall Float Parade, in which Coach Z announced that it was one of his favorites. Coach Z also rapped to a march of theirs; however, Marzipan told him to stop, insisting it was "really annoying".

West Is Lip is a British new wave band consisting of androgynous boys from Hertfordshire that Strong Bad refers to in the email old comics after mispronouncing "West Islip". Their hit single is "She Partied Without Dancing", which reached No. 4 in the Sales Chart. The person on the case is Ryan Sterritt. The album art is notably similar to Kraftwerk's 1978 album "The Man-Machine." A poster featuring the band is seen in Strong Sad's room in Baddest of the Bands.
