- The game Strong Bad is complaining about is Pitfall II: Lost Caverns. Frogs and balloons were two of the new features in the game, as well as unlimited lives.
- Strong Bad should know that the "silver french horn" is a scorpion, as he positively identified it as such in the commentary of In Search of the Yello Dello.
- "Endinning" is a portmanteau of "end" (or "ending") and "beginning."

- Strong Bad alters a screenshot from the game and claims that it's a dating sim featuring Kate Pierson of the B-52's.
- One of Strong Bad's fake screencaps reveals that Homestar's innards are filled with "Strawberry Quik". "Quik" was the original name of Nestlé's flavored milk drink Nesquik.
- Strong Bad claims to launch a "heat-seeking 3-Stooges eye-poker missile" in his game. The hallmark slapstick comedy of the Stooges often included eye-poking.

- Mig 29 Soviet Fighter is an unlicensed game for the NES. The switch on the back of the game triggers a voltage spike intended to temporarily disable the NES's lock-out chip so that the unlicensed game can be played on an official console.
- Strong Bad uses "it's" in place of "its" even though he considers people who do this to be scalawags.

- The blocky 3D Strong Bad head in the sudoku puzzmaster picture is most likely a reference to Dr. Kawashima's representation in the Brain Age series, which included sudoku in the North American version of its first installment. Dr. Kawashima's head also sometimes used an expression similar to Strong Bad's in the game.
- NPR's program Weekend Edition Sunday includes a weekly segment with Will Shortz, puzzle constructor (including Sudoku), New York Times puzzle editor, and referred to by NPR as the "Puzzlemaster".
- Strong Bad's idea of a "flame cubicle" in the Telltale offices gets "SBLOUNSKCHED!"
- The title makes a reference to the book Nobody Listens to Andrew.
- Unlike the other dev blog images, the puzzmaster image is hosted on the Viidelectrix site.
