Behind the Bad
The making of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People
{Cut to a building with a giant vertical neon sign that says "Rafael". The scene then cuts to a couple walking down the sidewalk from the side. After the pass off screen a vehicle passes by, which appears to be an AT&T service van, and transitions the scene to an outdoor restaurant. Then a car passes by and and shortly after there's a cut to a man playing guitar near an intersection of A St. As he passes by a bicycler and a car cross the road. There is then a cut to the San Rafael Transit Center, in which a sign on the ceiling labeled "Platform B" is shown.}
STRONG BAD: {voiceover} You know, so they just called me up and said, uh, "Hey, have you ever heard of us?"
{Cut to a shot of Strong Bad lying on a planter at the bus stop. He occasionally looks around.}
STRONG BAD: And I said, "Well, that's a weird way to start a phone conversation." You know, how about "Hello?" "Who am I speaking with?", that sort of thing. And they said, "Oh, excuse me, hey Strong Bad, we're Telltale Games, have you ever heard of us?"
{Cut to a shot of Strong Bad waiting in line to get on a bus.}
STRONG BAD: At which point, I, you know, hung up the phone.
{Cut to title card: Chapter One: The New Hire}
STRONG BAD: Ah, but then they called back, {cut to shot of Strong Bad talking on the bus} and, ah, and-ah we got to talking, and they said they had some graphics... and, like, an explosion and a... a blade... a-they could do a blade in a game.
{Strong Bad is now walking away from the departing bus along the side walk.}
STRONG BAD: {voiceover} Heck, you know, that really floored me. {tracking shot of Strong Bad walking along the sidewalk with an artificial shadow. Strong Bad occasionally turns to talk to the camera.} So I signed on board and, uh, they're, so they're having me out. Gonna set me up in my own office.
{Cut to a shot of Strong Bad looking around at an intersection, with his shadow now gone. The camera briefly goes in and out of focus. Then Strong Bad walks away from the camera. Cut to a shot of Strong Bad walking in the parking lot of Telltale Games, with an shadow again.}
STRONG BAD: I told them that the corner office was not good enough for me. So it'll probably, it'll probably be like my own floor. Maybe, like, the roof... Maybe I'll just be on the roof of the building, so it's like there's no corners. It's like, it's like how a circle is made up of a bunch of... you know, lines, sort of. It's like, my office would be made up of all corners. My office is the absence of corners. {Strong Bad gets to the front entrance, with his shadow gone again, and a person comes out to hold the door for Strong Bad.} Oh, thank you lowly doorman. {Strong Bad enters the building}
{Cut to Strong Bad waiting on a couch. Banners for Sam & Max are visible in the background.}
EMPLOYEE: Strong Bad? Hi.
STRONG BAD: Here we go. {Zoom in Strong Bad. He closes his eyes and puts his gloves together in excitement.} This is gonna be the best job I ever had!
{Cut to a title card: Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. Play it on WiiWare and PC.}
EMPLOYEE: {voiceover} And here is your office.
{A close up of a door handle. The door is then opened. Reverse shot of Strong Bad smiling and leaning in to look in the room.}
{Strong Bad jumps into the room. It is a dark windowless electrical closet with a desk and a computer in the back. The door closes.}
STRONG BAD: Um... this sucks.
{Cut to a title card for Telltale's website. Coach Z's song from the game is heard in the background.}

Telltale Games Presents
{Limozeen's Because It's Midnite can be heard in the background as Strong Bad is seen listening to it through an employee's computer, singing along to it.}
STRONG BAD: {singing} ...floatin' over the pavement, guitars take flight, wearin' my tightest pants, because it's...
{An employee comes in and presses the stop button.}
STRONG BAD: {singing} ...midnite!... {realises what happened, and lightly coughs to himself unamusingly}
Behind the Bad
The making of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People
{Cut to another part of the offices. An employee speaks to the camera, identified as Graham McDermott - Senior Software Engineer.}
GRAHAM McDERMOTT: I wouldn't like to call myself a judgmental person, but I gotta say... um, I'm a little uncomfortable with Strong Bad, uh... and I think it would be fair to say that he's got a bit of, uh... an attitude problem.
{Cut to Strong Bad at the same workstation where he played the Limozeen song earlier. He was seen watching the scene in Baddest of the Bands in which Strong Sad electocutes him, and grows frustrated over it.}
STRONG BAD: YAAAAARGH!!! {hits a pile of loose papers to his left, sending some to the floor}
{Cut back to Graham.}
- GRAHAM McDERMOTT: I think he's been making people feel uncomfortable. Um...
{Cut to an office where Strong Bad is speaking bossily to another employee.}
- GRAHAM McDERMOTT: {voiceover} ...kind of making comments under his breath. The other people, I mean... just, just yesterday he...
{Cut back to Graham}
- GRAHAM McDERMOTT: ...shouted at me to make him coffee. And... this guy hasn't even introduced himself to me yet!
{Cut to another employee by another workstation, identified as Dan Conners - CEO, Telltale Games.}
DAN CONNERS: Is that the intern kid... with the, uh, mask? Boxing gloves? Uh... down in the cellar?
{The camera focuses on a framed photograph of a child}
DAN CONNERS: Down... we keep him down in the basement?
{The camera focuses back on Dan.}
DAN CONNERS: I just assumed he was one of the investor's kids.
{Cut back to the same scene where Graham spoke before, except a different employee speaks to the camera, identified as Mark Darin - Game Designer.}
MARK DARIN: What he's decided to do is wait til I leave my desk, and then he'll come by and just leave some "concept art" behind. Um...
{Mark reaches for a yellow notepad by his left, flips a page and shows the page to the camera, showing what looks like a pixelated knight - identified as Strong Bad - with jet pack boots. A post-it note saying "Do it or die!" can be seen at the bottom right hand corner. The camera zooms in to the post-it note and the identification of the boots.}
MARK DARIN: So, yeah. We're trying. {puts the notepad down} We're trying. {nods}
{Cut to another part of the office, where Strong Bad - identified as an Intern - is seen in a black cushy chair speaking to the camera.}
STRONG BAD: Okay, that's it! I have had it! It's time to take matters into my own hands. Those Telltales won't know what hit 'em!
