How? What I'm saying is that I can't log in to the forum because my forum account has been marked inactive! --Y2K (15px-Crystal_Clear_app_xchat.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_kedit.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_email.png) 07:18, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Unless I am mistaken, there is an area of the forum that allows anonymous posting, no? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:10, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Exactly right Qermaq, and that area is the Forum HelpDesk. -- Tom 12:07, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm afraid I actually can't post on the Forum HelpDesk. I've tried, and I still have to log in, which I can't. --Y2K (15px-Crystal_Clear_app_xchat.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_kedit.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_email.png) 04:09, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Y2K, please email your forum acount details and a description of your forum related issue to support@hrwiki.org. -- Tom 04:27, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Wait. I just tried to post a new topic on HelpDesk, and was brought to a login page. So login seems required. Perhaps the forum settings should be reexamined. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 07:03, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
This was intentional. When the level of spam goes up in the forum, I disable anonymous posting in the help desk. It seems to be a popular target. I've re-enabled anonymous posting for now. Be advised that this may change... For best results you should try and get in touch with a mod/admin. They can help you out. — hr.pngStu My Talk23:40, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
OK, I've sent the email. Thanks for reminding me. --Y2K (15px-Crystal_Clear_app_xchat.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_kedit.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_email.png) 07:16, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Sysopness

I was just wondering for no particular reason what my chances of becoming a sysop are. I couldn't tell from the user list what the ratio of legitimate users to sysops were, because most of the users seemed to be disposable accounts and sockpuppets. Flameviper 20:16, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

First, having some main namespace edits might help... For full details, check here, as this question is asked a lot. As for the ratio, yeah, it's hard to tell. --DorianGray
It's not that hard. According to Special:Statistics: There are 7,296 registered users, of which 23 (or 0.32%) are administrators. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:28, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes, but of those users, how many are real? How many aren't sockpuppets or blocked vandals or whatever? And any maths is hard. --DorianGray

Um...What's Up?

Is work still going on with the Homestarrunner.net site? It's been the same for many months with no improvements. Is there just a lot of behind-the-scenes work, or have you just forgotten? When can we expect the full site to be put up? Thanks for any information. -AtionSong 16:32, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

It's just a lot of behind the scenes work. The reason why you don't see anything is because they haven't posted any links on the website.--H*Bad 19:05, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, alpha and beta have pretty much been running since late '05. It's going to be a Homestar Runner fan portal, and it'll be done when it's done. — Lapper (talk) 12:24, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

your input

Hey Joey,

I know you are busy right now getting the pledge drive going, but I was wondering if you could give your valuable and time sensitive input here.

Help on committee

Haldo,
I am a web designer who knows his way around xml html css and many MANY other languages used on the site. How may I join the validation commitee? Do i just add my name to the list, or is there something i have to go through?
---Jmoney 21:55, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

This would be a question for the FAQ, so I'll take the liberty of answering it. I'm very glad you find yourself so confident in your coding know-how, and we would be honored to have you on the validation committee. Simply add your name to the list and help out where you can. — Lapper (talk) 21:58, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, and i am very proud of my coding ability. If I ever come of egotistical please tell me. -Jmoney 00:39, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

The Logo

The logo of your's good. Are you a magician or you've done it at Photoshop?

Oops, please revert.

I accidentaly made some modifications, very un inteligent as you will see, in sbemail#143, and they are mutliple times added. Also during this modification I added a pic, Explain_Jmoney_001.JPG. Sorry again. Please tell me if I will need to re add the chalk board comment & pic (that one was correct.) I will go clean it up a little for now, but revert it all plz. Sorry for the trouble (still new here.)
-Jmoney 23:37, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Hey Jmoney. Anyone can revert an edit, simply by pressing the tab that says history, clicking on the edited version before the one that you want to revert, clicking edit, and saving it. This will save the old page revision as a new one. There's a lot of awesome stuff that can be done with the history button, and they are all detailed here Also, I reverted it simply because it was bad staging, and not a glitch at all. Happy wiki-ing, - link_icon.gifThe Joe(Talk) 23:46, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

D'ween list

Wow, you've got some awesome books on your listDesiring God is on my top 10 list, and Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God is one of the most balanced reconciliations of human responsibility and "determinism" I've read. Hope you get 'em! Trey56 23:55, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, Trey56. I've got a private wishlist on Amazon that's over 10 pages long (at 25 items per page). Much of the books are in a similar vein. You can also get a good idea of what I've read by checking out my LibraryThing catalog. Have you tried LibraryThing? It sounds like we would share many of the same books. You should start cataloging yours so I can see what you've read. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 21:13, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Help!

I just started a wiki for my fansite, DevonM.com (wiki is here), and I can't figure out how to make the main page boxes on the monobook like yours. Help me? Strong Devon 14:14, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank You page

Haldo Joey, I noticed that User:Lunar Jesters is not on HRWiki:Thank You!. Is there some reason he isn't? By the way, he requested that his real name not be used on the ledger, so Loafing went ahead and changed it. Might want to update your spreadsheet. —BazookaJoe 01:39, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Ah, probably just oversight on my part. There are a lot of names! I'm bound to miss one or two. I'll add him with the next round of names I'll be adding tonight. Cheers! — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 02:33, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

InterWiki stuff

Hey, I'm a rather inexperienced wiki user, and I was just wondering how you work your interwiki and shortcut linking to have little icons next to all the links. I'm about to help create a wiki that could use a feature like that. Please respond by E-mail. --Mattgcn

Have a look at MediaWiki:Common.css – in particular, around halfway down, all the blocks that start with something like #bodyContent a[href ^="http://www.homestarrunner.com"]. That particular selector doesn't work in Internet Explorer, unfortunately (well, in IE6 at least, I haven't used IE7), but it does work in Firefox, and I'm pretty sure it works in Opera. Dunno about Safari. --phlip TC 10:23, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Ooh, thanks alot! It's now being put into effect at WikiLemon and will be at DementiaWiki when it's made :D --Mattgcn
It does work in IE7, btw. — It's dot com 18:59, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Forum Troubles

Hey, I know you may not be the one to ask on this, but I recently got a new computer and while visiting the forum, I discovered that my IP had been banned. I know it's my IP, because I wasn't even able to log in. I don't see how that's possible, because this is like only the second day I've had it, and I didn't do anything on the forum on those two days. On a side note, I tried to log in on my Wiki account (Pop_tire), and it said there was no such account. I'm not sure what's going on, and would love (if anything), just some light on what's going on. If I did do anything, I'm sorry. ----

personal letter from matt chapman

are you the one that got the personal letter? if so, that is so completly awesome! by the way, I want to sign Mike's birthday card.user:haldo

Wikipedia:Joey Day

Hey there, Joey. A few minutes ago I tried creating an article about the creator of my favorite wiki on Wikipedia, but now I copied some stuff from your user page and put it on there. Someone (actually a bot) said that they cannot keep this for legal reasons. Is this true? See ya,
Homestar-Winner (talk) 22:51, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry, Homestar Winner, but I've deleted this article. Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion require that articles have an assertion of notability, and being the founder of a website isn't really an assertion of notability (unless the website is something like Amazon, Google or Wikipedia itself). Heimstern Läufer 23:09, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Oh, well. I still think you deserve your own article, but I gotta listen to them sysops (not you, the Wikipedia ones). Bye now, see? Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:16, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Wiki tips

Hey, Joey, I'm thinking about starting my own wiki. Any programs you would suggest? He can't say job. Don't say jorb 101 Seriously, he can't say job!

Yeah, I'd highly recommend MediaWiki. Cheers! — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 23:14, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Adopt The Cheat Foundation

Joey, you wrote on your user page that you'd like to eventually own a Kick the Cheat plush. You may be running out of time, as currently there are about 150 left. I like the logo for the Adopt The Cheat Foundation, do you? —THE PAPER PREEEOW 23:09, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Hm, maybe I'll have my wife buy me one for Christmas then. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, the logo's great! — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 16:01, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, it looks like you're too late now. Now all you can do is think about the wonderful joy a toy The Cheat that you can kick around would be, and that you would have loved to have one. You watch all of the little boys and girls playing with their Kick The Cheats and bringing great smiles to their faces, thinking that a Kick The Cheat would make you extremely happy, too. And you would love more than anything else to have one. But you don't have one. Oh well. Homestar-Winner (talk) 02:07, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
