The Brothers Chaps have participated in several side projects independent of Homestar Runner, especially during hiatuses.

Websites

• Mellow Mushroom — Mike and Matt designed this website in 2001 for a chain of pizza restaurants headquartered in Georgia. The layout, navigation, and sound effects are similar to that of Homestar Runner, and the voices of the brothers and Missy Palmer are very distinctive.
• Thorax Corporation — The Brothers Chaps, primarily Matt, created this website for a fictional company, and hid a link to the site in one of the Fortune Cookies. The Thorax Corporation is made up of stereotypical, overly aggressive domain-name owners who offer domain-name registration services while bombarding visitors with popups and ads.
• The Great World of Sound — The Brothers Chaps made this fake website to promote the film they produced of the same name (see below). According to Craig Zobel, it was somewhat inspired by the Thorax Corporation website (see above).
• Ron Planet — A comic strip written by Matt Chapman and Craig Zobel. Accessible from the Videlectrix site's game gallery, by clicking on the Ron Planet blurb on the Duck Guardian 2 box.
• Rick and Morty's Rushed Licensed Adventure content warning — Mike and Jonathan Howe helped create this Rick and Morty Flash game for the Adult Swim website. Similar to Dangeresque Roomisode 1: Behind the Dangerdesque, it is a retro-styled point-and-click adventure game released in four episodes.
• Cosmic Scoundrels content warning — Starting in early 2014, Matt created this ongoing webcomic along with Andy Suriano. The comic contains Easter eggs in the traditional Homestar style, offsetting the darker, sketchier tone of the other illustrations.

Television

Matt Chapman's voice credit

• Sealab 2021 — Matt performed two songs in a Larry Palaroncini-style voice for an episode entitled "Sharko's Machine".

• Twigger's Holiday — Matt animated sequences for two episodes.
• Yo Gabba Gabba! — Created an animated cartoon, Faldarz, for the episode "Friends". Matt now writes and directs the show, starting in season three.
• The Aquabats! Super Show! — From the creators of Yo Gabba Gabba!, Matt is co-writer, director, and appeared in multiple episodes of the show. One of his appearances had him take the role of "Carl", a masked magician who resembles and talks like Strong Bad. This is far from The Brothers Chaps' first collaboration with the Aquabats.
• Both of The Brothers Chaps have had a development deal with Disney Television Animation. According to Matt in a podcast interview, he and Mike created a pilot about a robot foreign exchange student for Disney.
  • Gravity Falls — Matt has done some writing and additional voices in certain episodes of the show.
  • Wander Over Yonder — Matt is a writer for the episodes "The Bounty" and "The Time Bomb", while Mike helped write "The Liar".
  • Mickey Mouse — Matt did "brainstorming" for the short "The Boiler Room".
  • Star vs. the Forces of Evil — Matt voices Alfonzo and other characters.

Youtube

• The Paul and Storm Nondenominational Perennial Holiday Special - Parts One and Two content warning — Paul and Storm created a parody of holiday specials in two parts; Part One was released on December 1st, 2014, and Part Two was released on December 23. It was created in order to serve as the $100,000 stretch goal for Paul and Storm's Ball Pit album. Mike and Matt are credited with animating the special, as well as helping to create the story. In addition, Matt voiced the character Mister Small Business. One of the backgrounds also contains a Videlectrix logo, and the "Indie Record Store" character bears a resemblance to Mike.
• Strong Bad was one of the "Celebrity Endorsements" for the Dad's Garage Celebrity Endorsement Kickstarter Video, uploaded on September 11, 2014. Keeping with the trend of the other celebrities, who purposely reacted negatively towards the organization, Strong Bad admitted that he had "never heard of it".
• Two More Eggs — Matt and Mike are producing 40 shorts for Disney XD's YouTube Channel.

Film

• All the Real Girls — Among other things, Matt appeared as an extra known as "Strong Bad".
• Great World of Sound — The Brothers Chaps served as executive producers for this film, which was directed by Craig Zobel and produced by Missy Palmer. Matt and Missy both make cameos as auditioning musicians. The film focuses on a scam in the music industry called "Song Sharking" and was shown at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.

• Matt and Craig wrote a stop motion film script entitled Monster Safari for The Jim Henson Company and Screen Novelties.
• Missy Palmer released her first documentary, D'artagnan is the Champion, about the roots of a race horse.

Music and Music Videos

• They Might Be Giants — The Brothers Chaps have collaborated several times with this band: they animated a Homestar Runner based music video for their song "Experimental Film", and appeared with Homestar Runner puppets at their concerts. The Brothers Chaps also contributed a video, Figure Eight for They Might Be Giants' children's album, Here Come The 123s.

• Of Montreal — Matt and Mike directed the music video for the song "Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse".

• Y-O-U — In exchange for their help with producing the Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits CD, Mike and Matt animated the music video for their song "LA Lindsay".

Family

• If I Ran the Camera — Mike and Matt created this Flash slideshow for a poem that their sister Karen had written for their father, Don Chapman, for Father's Day. The slideshow featured images of Don with his granddaughter Astrid Renee (Karen's daughter). This piece was a secret page originally posted on homestarrunner.com, but it was removed sometime in 2003 after the Brothers Chaps realized that fans had discovered it.
