[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 41 (Oct 9-15)

Something real-world, plz. Maybe an interview that yous guys like? —BazookaJoe 23:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Let's screen Screen Savers Interview - 24 Jan 2005! (does that make any sense?) --Trogga 00:41, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

That seems like a good idea to me: in adddition to the interview, you get the debut of Puppet Strong Bad, which adds to the significance of this interview. Heimstern Läufer 17:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
There's a problem. The link to the video don't work. Once we got that fixed, it would be a great FA. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:04, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Although there's a mirror in You Tube, so it's ok. I'm changing the link. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:25, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 42 (Oct 16-22)

Let's do sbemail57. A fan favorite, has lots of info, and launched 20X6.

We've featured a fair number of sbemails lately (virus and highschool both within the past three months, flashback not long before). I've often wanted to feature an individual episode of Teen Girl Squad, and I suspect the strongest candidate would be Issue 10, both because of its "issueversary" milestone status and because it has various "gimmicks" for lack of a better term: the colors, the cameos of the various minor characters who show up to the sweet someteen-party and the Ugly One's makeover. Heimstern Läufer 05:12, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, issue 10 would be great. You also forgot to mention the real-world cutaway at the end, which is neat. And, in fact, it was released a year ago just the week before this featured article (October 10th). --DorianGray
Yeah, I also support TGS 10. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:57, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 43 (Oct 23-29)

Pre-Halloween week! —BazookaJoe 23:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

That A Ghost? --Trogga 00:41, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Or one of those more obscure Halloween articles we do, like What are you supposed to be?? --DorianGray
I like that article. If got my vote. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 22:58, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
That A Ghost or What are you supposed to be? --Trogga 23:51, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
What are you supposed to be? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:02, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, that'd be fine. Sets us up for Halloween by discussing a regular theme of Halloween toons. Heimstern Läufer 14:13, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 44 (Oct 30-Nov 5)

Halloween thyme! The fastest, highest, and like nobody's business holiday of H*R! (Ween is on a Tuesday this year.) —BazookaJoe 23:50, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

I say we do Halloween Potion-ma-jig. --Trogga 00:41, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea to me: Any of the Halloween toons would make a good FA, but Potion-ma-jig is especially content-rich because of the distinctive "choose-your-own-adventure" nature of the toon. Heimstern Läufer 04:47, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Halloween Potion-ma-jig is a great toon to feature. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:59, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, let´s choose it.--Marvelrulez

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 45 (Nov 6-12)

"They've stolen my Poopsmith! To make him into a featured article!" Heimstern Läufer 15:29, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I agree. He would work perfectly in Nov.--H*Bad 15:31, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah! Let's feature the guy with the big round face and gray body. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:00, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 46 (Nov 13-19)

How about a game for this week? How about Strong Libs?--H*Bad 15:36, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Why not? The intro paragraph of that article needs re-writing, though. Loafing 05:04, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I tried toe re-write it so it looked better. I think it would be a good article.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 21:08, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Are you sure where's no references what so ever for that page? Seem kinda bland to me. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 23:37, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
I was wondering if we're going to do the Strong Libs or not. It won't be too much longer before this week will be here! If we do not do Strong Libs, I had an idea for an alternative. I was surprised to see that Experimental Film hasn't been featured. I think that'd make a fine featured article.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 00:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
That's actually a very nice page. Two commentries, a TMBG tie-up, a sub-page (visuals)... Yeah. I like it. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 12:54, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
So, which should we feature? I personally think it's a good idea to sometimes feature the older stuff that we tend to forget about, like Strong Libs. But if the community wants to feature Experimental Film, that's great by me. I would like to see some more input to determine consensus. Please opine! Heimstern Läufer 21:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
I have no problem with old stuff. Just this particular article is kinda boring. only a transcript of the libs and nothing beyond. If this was a foundation of future references of style, then it would have been a great article to feature, but nothing really links to it. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:34, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, there's just not a whole lot to the Strong Libs. Experimental Film is awesome. —BazookaJoe 21:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
That article clearly needs updating, as Strong Libs have in fact been referenced in homestar hair and lackey. Someone should do that. In the meantime, let's feature Experimental Film. I think we ought to feature an old game sometime, but not until after the New Year. Heimstern Läufer 22:48, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Or here's a better idea: sometime we should do a week of daily articles and feature several old games: Strong Libs, Homestar Talker, Fortune Cookies etc. Not terribly soon, obviously, but sometime in early 2007. Heimstern Läufer 22:15, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 47 (Nov 20-26)

Hallrunner. Please. I've been begging for this one. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 00:09, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Could we possibly delay Hallrunner one more week? The reason is because this week is Thanksgiving, and I think it would be more appropriate to feature something like Some Stupid Turkey this week. Heimstern Läufer 00:14, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
EDIT CONFLICT: Fuh-fine. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 00:17, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
OK, as I'm looking at it, maybe not. That toon is quite short, and I'm not sure we'd be able to get enough substance out of it. Anyone else have a thought? Heimstern Läufer 00:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Fall Float Parade looks good. --Trogga 00:32, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I knew there had to be something else that was Thanksgiving-related. Yeah, Fall Float Parade sounds like a great idea. Heimstern Läufer 01:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
I'd rather see Fall Float Parade than Hallrunner.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 19:53, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 48 (Nov 27-Dec 3)

Hallrunner. I BEG of you. *gets down on knee* ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 00:17, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't see why not. The article seems very solid, and The Mu has been campaigning for it for a while. Heimstern Läufer 00:20, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Yup, I'd go for that. It's a somewhat obscure game, too. Which makes it interesting, ne? --DorianGray
It's muchly interesting, not to mention complete. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 01:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Might as well get it over with! Err, I mean! Uh. Yeah good idea! :) I think it's a good article and a funny funny game.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 21:44, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Actually, the videlectrix website still doesn't work. Therefore it might not be a good idea to feature this until it does. Nobody could play it! --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 22:18, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
That's a very good point. However, this article won't be featured for a month yet, during which time it could conceivably return. I guess we'll see fairly soon, yeah? --DorianGray
If we're not doing Hallrunner, I say we do something else video-game-related, like Nintendo or maybe Atari 2600. --Trogga 00:42, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Well if you were to choose between the two, Nintendo seems like the choice. Since the Wii DOES come out in November. ;) -- Also, I think I know why Videlectrix doesn't work. If you WHOIS the Homestarrunner.com domain and Videlectrix domain, you'll note that it appears TBC have switched servers. The WHOIS on H*R shows no sign of their old host, but the Videlectrix one shows both. So, it may work by late November, but who knows.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 07:44, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
No way. I am NOT petitioning for this again. Someone... please... get a backup copy... ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 00:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Why do you want to feature Hallrunner so badly? --Trogga 18:33, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
It's such a comprehensive article, it's a good game, and other things. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 23:00, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Well, unfortunately, if Videlectrix remains down much longer, this article won't be fit to feature. I know it will be a disappointment for you, The Mu, but you have to realize that there's no good in featuring an article about a game no one can play. If we can't feature it during this week, I think we should do so as soon after Videlectrix comes back as possible (without discussion for consensus, as it's already been reached here). Heimstern Läufer 23:20, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Good news The Mü; Videlectrix.com is back up. --Trogga 21:28, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Sweet, and in perfect time. I was just about to write a note saying we needed to think of a new FA. Note that this is very recent: It was still busted when I checked this morning. Anyway, let's go on ahead with Hallrunner this week! Heimstern Läufer 21:31, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Hooray! ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 01:53, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 49 (Dec 4-10)

DaAaAaA! I'm a featured article from December 2006! Heimstern Läufer 21:03, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

"Just for a minute, let's all do the bump. Bump. Bump."  Loafing 21:37, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
I like the idea. I've been thinking Homsar needs to be featured for some times now. Alms for the Pudgy? Alms for the Pudgy?--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 19:52, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 50 (Dec 11-17)

Since we've just featured all three of Strong Bad's computers, let's do Tangerine Dreams. I'm sure it will make a lot of Mac users happy... ;) --Trogga 02:58, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

What a fine idea! Nice article. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:01, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
I like it too! I say we do it!--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 20:28, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Sure, why not? Heimstern Läufer 23:19, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 51 (Dec 18-24)

It's the week before Christmas Decemberween! --Trogga 22:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

I went and nominated this sucker and it's my favorite toon. Please can we make it the featured article for this week? Homestar Presents: Presents. It's chock full of holiday hilarity! AND (i just thought of this), it also has a countdown clock for minutes left of Decemberween. Which is most useful during the time it would be featured. lol. --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 18:05, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I think we should feature that article, but as I've said below, I think it would fit well next week. I think That Time of Year, with its emphasis on things leading up to Decemberween, would fit well this week. Heimstern Läufer 22:10, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I agree. That time of Year.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 22:38, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Decemberween Food would be good too. --Trogga 23:09, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
That Time of Year really is fantastic and should be featured. If we were to do Decemberween Food too, then That Time of Year might be better pushed back a week. THough the Mac users might get upset. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 03:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
I think the Decemberween food could be pushed back a week and this toon still be featured this week. The mac stuff could always be done in January sometime. Decemberween is only once a year.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 03:49, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, my thinking was that TToY is a better leadin to the holiday season. Then Dw Food would occupy a transition week to the Decemberween toon we should feature next week. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 03:53, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
NB: please don't create a featured article page for That Time of Year, whenever we feature it: There's already one that's been deleted that we'll restore once we're sure what we're doing. Heimstern Läufer 04:52, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

I don't see if we reached a decision yet, but I'd like to mention Thy Dungeonman (character). Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:38, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, that's certainly a fine article, but I don't think we should feature it the week before Decemberween. I still think That Time of Year is the way to go for this week. Heimstern Läufer 21:19, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
If people really want to see Decemberween Food featured, please speak up. To me, three different Decemberween FAs seems like it might be a bit overkill. But basically, we could go ahead and move TTOY back to week 50 and feature food this week, or we could go with plan A and feature TTOY this week and Tangerine Dreams during week 50. Any more opinions? Heimstern Läufer 23:24, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I'd go with either way; we're running out of time. --Trogga 00:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
I think Plan A. Decemberween Food isn't really needed, and TTOY is perfect for leading up to Decemberween. Exhibit A (talk · edits) 02:24, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 52 (Dec 25-31)

"Decemberween is here. Decemberween is here. Today." (No, I'm not suggesting That Time of Year.) --Trogga 22:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, if you're not suggesting it, maybe I will. --DorianGray
It's the right kind of toon. I like it! And I just subtitled that thing. It was pretty fun actually!--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 20:44, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Meh, I'd rather do the whole Decemberween In July thing. --Trogga 22:03, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
What about switching this week with the one before? I would like to see Homestar Presents:Presents for this week: For those in North America, it'll come up as Christmas (Decemberween?) Eve is coming to an end, fitting well with the chronology of that toon. Heimstern Läufer 22:08, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Ok, yeah. I got that confused. It would make more sense for it to be used on Christmas day itself since the clock works in MINUTES. Yeah. I vote for Homestar Presents: Presents for this week. It just seems to make the most sense. AND IT IS MY FAVORITE!! :) Nothing funnier than that line about running out of the house naked somehow. However, I don't like doing the Decemberween in July thing in December. If your gonna do the whole article, I think it would be better fit for JULY.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 22:35, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
My vote goes to Homestar Presents:Presents. I think That Time of Year is better suited to be the week leading up to D'ween. Exhibit A (talk · edits) 02:28, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
