STRONG BAD: Whoa! Electronic mail!

STRONG BAD: {typing} Oh, well! I think I might have a little piece of advice for you, Roy. Close the book and quit being such a dork-on!!!!!!! {clears screen} I mean, this girl obviously has the hots for you man. Why do you think she's calling you? I mean, you've got the potential to get 1st, 2nd, and quite possibly even 3rd base. So unless you're studying a book called "This Book is Better than 1st, 2nd, and Quite Possibly Even 3rd Base", I suggest you hightail it over to your girlfriend's house ASAP, man! {clears screen} And also, send me a copy of that book. It sounds pretty good. You know what...scratch that. You keep studying Roy, I'm going over to your girlfriend's house.

{He walks away from the computer and a few seconds later he returns.}

STRONG BAD: Um, I forgot. I don't know her name or where she lives, but your girlfriend still loves me, Roy.

{The Paper comes down.}

Easter Eggs

Fun Facts

Trivia

  • This is the first email to have an immediately clickable Easter egg in it.
  • This marks the first appearance of The Geddup Noise, but there was a variation in depressio.

Goofs

  • The Easter egg is still clickable even after the text disappears.

Real-World References

  • Tempe Sam, one of the reviewers for This Book is Better than 1st, 2nd, and Quite Possibly Even 3rd Base, is planning to write a book called Leftover Sam and the Leftover Sam Book. This may be a reference to the band "Leftover Salmon."

DVD Version

  • If you click on the hidden Strong Bad icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the Tandy 400's screen at the end of the email, you'll get the Bookazon.com site.
    • The Easter egg looks different from what it does on the site. Among the differences are:
      • The site is now named bookazon.egg, a reference to the email pom pom where Homestar says that he thinks the Web page ends with "dot-egg" instead of "dot-com."
      • The tabs now read, "WELCOME," "STORE," "BOOKS," "VIDELECTRIX," "BVD," "CRAIG," "PRODUKTS," and "AB-ABBERS".
      • Two of the advertisements from Under Construction (the ones for Affordable Hosting and Spam Free Living) now adorn the right side of the screen.
      • The Purchase button section now reads "BUYIN' TIME? BUY THIS JUNK NOW?"
    • Strong Bad also gives his reading of the site, as transcribed below.

Easter Egg Transcript

STRONG BAD: {offscreen} This Book is Better Than 1st, 2nd, and Quite Possibly Even 3rd Base, by Lem Sportsinterviews. Oh, and there's some reviews! "Better than 4th base even?!?" by Tempe Sam. Uhh, let's see what Tempe Sam says. {Strong Bad reads the review exactly as written}

I'm read this book! Twize! It had more chapters than any book I've
ever read! Which was my favourite? I dunno. I only read wan. But
it got me where I needed to be. The restroom. When I'm done read
this book I plan to ride my own. I call it "Leftover Sam and the
Leftover Sam Book." Will you by it?!

STRONG BAD: {offscreen} Well, after reading your review, Tempe Sam, I'm thinkin'...no.
