Hey T-Bird, did you make the 2/28 Flashforward interview? 'Cause that'd make it easier to transcribe. {{User:LePorello/sig}} 01:35, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
 +
:According to the recently-updated [[Talk:Flashforward_2006_Seattle_-_28_Feb_2006|talk page]], he obtained a press pass in the wiki's behalf. How ''totally cool'' is that? He really isn't under any obligation to transcribe TBC's speech. I'm sure he'll let us know if it's possible. {{User:The Paper/sig}} 05:25, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
 +
::Well I really don't want the page to turn out like [[NYU Talk - 1 Mar 2005|other similar pages]], so I'm gonna make a totally rad and readable writeup of the event [[Flashforward_2006_Seattle_-_28_Feb_2006|here]]. It may take a while, but it's coming. After all, my press pass was on ''behalf'' of the wiki, so I'm somewhat obligated to report and share the experiance with aforementioned wiki. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 05:43, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

 +
Here's the code to that level you wanted. Follow the instructions on [[HRFWiki:Stinkoman 20X6|this page]] to play it. Your mock-up isn't too good, so you'll need to tell me any inconsistancies that you find. I kind of want to get it as close to the original as possible. - {{User:Joshua/sig}} 20:21, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

:If there is an active vandal, most likely there is a sysop watching recent changes who will block him without prompting. If it continues for a few minutes, add the name to [[HRWiki:WikiTroll|WikiTroll]]. <strike>If that doesn't work, try contacting the most recently active sysop, according to [[Special:Recentchanges|Recent Changes]]</strike>. If that fails, you could also try alerting somebody on the [[HRWiki:IRC channel|IRC]]. If even that fails, and the vandalism continues for more than 10 or 15 minutes, then likely by some bizzare happening there are no sysops here at all. Then you may leave a message on my talk page. But even then, it probably won't do any good, since by the time I log in and see it, most likely another capable sysop will already have logged in, seen the problem, and blocked them. Unless I'm visably active, leaving a message here really doesn't do much. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 22:56, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

 +
::If there are no sysops that are logged in and active but not checking recent changes, it won't do much good to contact any of them. You'll just have to keep reverting until a sysop comes around. They always do eventually. &mdash;[[User:BazookaJoe|BazookaJoe]] 23:00, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

 +
:::Good point. Yeah, for all intensive purposes, the best thing is just to revert it and wait for a sysop. Usually you don't have to wait too long. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 23:02, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey T-bird. I thought that I might ask you a question. I've seen these a couple times, and what is User:Usernamehere/monobook.css? I noticed a couple users had a page for it, and I wanted to know what it was for. Thanks a bunch! {{User:Teh_Frossty_One/sig}} 23:09, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

:It changes your specific Wiki display options. You can do all sorts of things with it, FireBird even made his sysop "rollback" button flash. I really don't know much about HOW to make stuff happen though, best I can do is see what users do and copy them. I haven't really gotten around to personalizing them at all much, but I probably will someday. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 23:12, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

:::It is. As another example, it seems as though Tampo's trying to make his new messages bar appear blue. Like I said, customization that effects only the user that implements it.  +
:Your welcome. It's pronounced "yell-tin-zik." (I answered it there, but I'm also answering it here, in case HRWikians also want to know...perhaps I should put that on my userpage(s), it occurs to me that no one would have any way of knowing...) {{User:Granola/sig}} 09:41, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
 +

 +
::And as for your userboxes not appearing on your userpage, it was probably because you didn't purge the cashe. When you add a userbox, if you want it to appear right away, go to [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User:Nikolce_Kocovski&action=purge this link], and then it should appear. Feel free to copy this link and put it somewhere. You can also make this link by pressing edit on your userpage, then replacing "edit" in the url with "purge", and pressing enter. :Don't worry about it. When I first came here I was unsure of the rules for any wiki, and got myself blocked for a day. ;) I hope you turn out to be a great contributor. We don't get new sysops very often, usually less than 10 a year. Becoming a sysop is an admirable goal to work towards, and some general guidelines are written out in the [[HRWiki:FAQ|FAQ]]. We don't get new sysops very often, and being only a sysop, I don't have the power to promote users. Hi Thunderbird. Was just going to remark that I have the same exact camera model as you. May I ask if you used ''all three diamonds'' when you took [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Image:Flashforward_TBC.JPG this pic]? I was wondering what other users of that camera preferred to use. And while I'm here, I'd like to ask if you've received a package from me yet. And would it be OK to congratulate a [[User:E.L. Cool|certain someone]] on his recent bundle of ''keychains and more'' from you? Thanks a bunch. {{User:The Paper/sig}} 17:29, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
 +

 +
:Hey man, long time no see! The camera is my parent's, it's around 4 years old, and I rarely use it. I really didn't know much about it, now that you mention the diamond thing, I seem to recall something about it, more diamonds means better quality, or something, right? As for how many I used, I didn't even think to change it or anything, so it really just depends on what the default is. I haven't recieved your package yet, but I'm looking forward to it. And in case you didn't realize, the ''and more'' is the reason why I requested the replacements for myself. ;) {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 02:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
 +
::Yeah, more diamonds means improved resolution and quality. I just thought I'd ask since it's such an old camera and all&mdash; older than the First generation iPod, in fact. I really hope you'll receive the package soon, since it's been a while now. It must due to the geographical distance between us. And yeah, I realized the reason for you needing replacements. =) {{User:The Paper/sig}} 15:44, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately, my idea for a Talking Heads wikicity fell through, but I will be creating my own wiki soon. (over the weekend, most likely). It's going to be a wiki version of [http://www.geocities.com/yeltensic/encyclopedia_dandyannica.html?1143434456171 this site I made]. (the rest of this only makes sense if you've already followed the link and then returned) My plan is for the current site to be the "canon" version with real material, and for the wiki to be "based on a true story", so to speak. {{User:Granola/sig}} 01:51, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

:[[Floppy Disk Container]] is one. Here's a table you can copy if you wish:

(The stuff at the top is technical stuff, but if you really want to be creative with your table try changing it around a bit. obviously "#eeeeee" means color, and most of those little one digit numbers mean how thick most of the table lines are)

 +
|- id="and_as_a_technical_point_ids_can_not_start_with_a_number"

 +
|}  <!-- Finish your table with that. a line and a curly bracket -->

That all makes...

I hope that helps! There's lots of other technical stuff you can do as well, such as making a table only a certain width, lots of color variations, etc, but if you want a basic table, that's the layout. == Contents Question==
 +
Is it possible to get a contents for your user page? I see that you got one in this user talk but when I went to see what you put in to get one of em the only thing I saw seperating the "⇔Thunversations⇔" from this part of the conversation page was a in caps message about not editing above this line or haveing to face the rath of some undetermined fate. So I look all over everywhere I can't find anything in there that let's you have a contents box though I did realize that the URL is different. Am I overlooking something, Is the Box supplied when you get a long enough page, Are some pages just equiped with this from the begining? When I held my mouse over the hide / show button it reads "javascript:toggleToc()" and I know what javascript is. Whenever i go to edit something I look at where the contents are and... it pulls a Houdini.... upon hiting the "Show preview" thing It includes this in the contents. If you don't mind clearing this up for my that would be appriciated.
 +

 +
:The top line regarding Thundery rath and all that, is just to protect my Talk archives navigation template, so you can go from month to month of old conversations. The reason my userpage does not have a table of contents, is simple. If you look at the very bottom of the code (by clicking "edit" but not saving it) I put at the bottom a little <nowiki>"__NOTOC__"</nowiki>. What that does, is prevents a table of contents from appearing. <small>"Don't ask me why I did it... Because I already forgot."</small> Now whether they appear or not, is somewhere under your personal preferences, the same place you set your sig, etc. You choose in your personal settings to display Tables of Contents or not. If you choose to show them, then once a page gets more than three headers (A header is defined by a little edit tag so you can edit the sub section), then it will display a table of contents for you. Putting <nowiki>"__TOC__", "__NOTOC__" or "__FORCETOC__"</nowiki> on a page will override your preferences. The first one will make the TOC appear after a page has three headings (regardless of what you have selected in your preferences), the second one will not allow the TOC to appear, and the third one will cause a TOC to appear on the page even when there's less than three headings. Some of these are used on pages around the wiki, for instance you'll notice [[H*R.com updates 2005|The updates pages]] shouldn't have tables of contents whether it's selected under preferences for you or not. Since that page has so many headings, a TOC would be very long, therefore we use <nowiki>__NOTOC__</nowiki>. But whether they appear or not, they're automatically generated, you won't see a code for them or anything. I hope that answers your question Yoshi, let me know if you have any others. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 07:45, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
 +

 +
::To clarify: normally a page will automatically get a TOC just before the first heading if there are ''more than 3'' headings on the page (provided it's turned on in [[Special:Preferences|your prefs]]). <code><nowiki>__NOTOC__</nowiki></code> forces there to be no TOC, <code><nowiki>__FORCETOC__</nowiki></code> forces there to be a TOC, and <code><nowiki>__TOC__</nowiki></code> forces there to be a TOC ''and'' moves the TOC to where you wrote <code><nowiki>__TOC__</nowiki></code> (instead of the normal place, between the opening text and the first heading). This lets you do fancy things, like <code><nowiki><div style="float:right">__TOC__</div></nowiki></code> to get a floating TOC (like on my talk page). On a tangent, is a similar tag, <code><nowiki>__NOEDITSECTION__</nowiki></code>, which stops the [edit] links from appearing next to the headers. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 07:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

:Actually, I've been planning on getting around to it, but I'm still gonna be pretty busy for the next few days. What I was planning, was instead of trying to transcribe the whole thing, summarize it in the same fashion as the Flashforward page. Not only is that easier to write, as you can listen to a minute of it and then summarize without going over it repeatedly, but I find it's also an easier read than a terribly long mega-page. If you want to try and get some done in that way, go ahead. I'll also try and get it done sometime later, and I'm sure various users would go over what you write and fix any spelling or grammatical errors. According to the recently-updated talk page, he obtained a press pass in the wiki's behalf. How totally cool is that? He really isn't under any obligation to transcribe TBC's speech. I'm sure he'll let us know if it's possible. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 05:25, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Well I really don't want the page to turn out like other similar pages, so I'm gonna make a totally rad and readable writeup of the event here. It may take a while, but it's coming. After all, my press pass was on behalf of the wiki, so I'm somewhat obligated to report and share the experiance with aforementioned wiki. Thunderbird 05:43, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Not you

Sorry 'bout that. I just didn't want anyone impersonating you. I'd hate it if someone was impersonating me. Bluebry 02:59, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Haha, no problem. Thunderbird 06:36, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Here's the code to that level you wanted. Follow the instructions on this page to play it. Your mock-up isn't too good, so you'll need to tell me any inconsistancies that you find. I kind of want to get it as close to the original as possible. - Joshua 20:21, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Help again

I have been blocked again, to see my comment go here.--H*bad 16:52, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Please help!

Please block Homestar Swimmer when you get the chance! Beat 16:27, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

If there is an active vandal, most likely there is a sysop watching recent changes who will block him without prompting. If it continues for a few minutes, add the name to WikiTroll. If that doesn't work, try contacting the most recently active sysop, according to Recent Changes. If that fails, you could also try alerting somebody on the IRC. Thunderbird 22:56, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
If there are no sysops that are logged in and active but not checking recent changes, it won't do much good to contact any of them. You'll just have to keep reverting until a sysop comes around. They always do eventually. —BazookaJoe 23:00, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Good point. Yeah, for all intensive purposes, the best thing is just to revert it and wait for a sysop. Usually you don't have to wait too long. Thunderbird 23:02, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry Thunderbird L17, that was my first experience with a troll. Please accept my apology. Beat 00:12, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Protected subpages

I'm not entirely enthusiastic about your protected subpages. I think that it's unfair to normal users. Just my thoughts. — Seriously (Talk) 18:07, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Seriously, I thought I already gave the final word on this topic at HRWiki talk:Protected page#Wrong protection. There is no need to bring it up again here on Thunderbird's talk page. Please leave him alone. Thanks. -- Tom 22:41, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, didn't know that. Sorry, Thunderbird. — Seriously (Talk) 22:52, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Just wondering...

Hey T-bird. I thought that I might ask you a question. I've seen these a couple times, and what is User:Usernamehere/monobook.css? I noticed a couple users had a page for it, and I wanted to know what it was for. Thanks a bunch! teeeffoh! 23:09, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

It changes your specific Wiki display options. You can do all sorts of things with it, FireBird even made his sysop "rollback" button flash. I really don't know much about HOW to make stuff happen though, best I can do is see what users do and copy them. I haven't really gotten around to personalizing them at all much, but I probably will someday. Thunderbird 23:12, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Sounds confuzzling. teeeffoh! 23:14, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
It is. As another example, it seems as though Tampo's trying to make his new messages bar appear blue. Like I said, customization that effects only the user that implements it. One more thing I forgot to mention, I'm pretty sure that both of those kind of pages on my subpage list can't be edited by fellow users, only the user it belongs to. Thunderbird 23:18, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Sorry if i ask, but i need your help again

Hey there thunderbird, how are you, i've been doing great. listen i need to ask you a favour. i just added another single userbox on my list but it doesn't appear on my user page, can you help, please?

also, i've also been adding userboxes on my user page in Wikipedia, but there seriously all over the place, can you help?

see you around. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pece_Kocovski

Nikolce Kocovski 08:33, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

I fixed your userboxes on Wikipedia; you may want them in a different layout than the tower I put them in (like what I have on my userpage there), but at least now they aren't all over the place. With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 08:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Why thank you Granola, for fixing my user page, even if you didn't ask. i sent you a thank you note on your wiki user page. how do you pronounce your wiki user name? thanks again Nikolce Kocovski 09:17, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Your welcome. It's pronounced "yell-tin-zik." (I answered it there, but I'm also answering it here, in case HRWikians also want to know...perhaps I should put that on my userpage(s), it occurs to me that no one would have any way of knowing...) With crap, Yeltensic (T C) 09:41, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
And as for your userboxes not appearing on your userpage, it was probably because you didn't purge the cashe. When you add a userbox, if you want it to appear right away, go to this link, and then it should appear. Feel free to copy this link and put it somewhere. You can also make this link by pressing edit on your userpage, then replacing "edit" in the url with "purge", and pressing enter. It's the same thing. Hope that helps! It looks a bit small. I suppose that an image wouldn't really line up with the text, since it would depend on your screen resolution and other things, correct? If you'll look on my userpage, the thumb image with the caption "Thunderbird"; the arrows from that look pretty close to the same as the arrow from your image. The Stairs

Thunderbird, I am so, so sorry about the rating and stairs pages. I am known on the bswiki to be a great editor and troll lookout. I have never vandalized any wiki before. (Unless you count what I just did, but I thought you would be ok with that.) Anyway, I am great at protecting wikis, so could you give me a chance at being an admin to protect the greatest wiki I have ever known?--Bonusstagefreak 16:55, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Don't worry about it. When I first came here I was unsure of the rules for any wiki, and got myself blocked for a day. ;) I hope you turn out to be a great contributor. We don't get new sysops very often, usually less than 10 a year. Becoming a sysop is an admirable goal to work towards, and some general guidelines are written out in the FAQ. We don't get new sysops very often, and being only a sysop, I don't have the power to promote users. I hope that you turn out to be a great user here though, let me know if you have any other questions. Thunderbird 20:20, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Well, I can't seem to upload any images! It's driving me insane!--Bonusstagefreak 22:34, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

See here for the regulations on personal images. To upload an image, there's an option on the sidebar, namely this one. Generally use PNG images. If you're still having trouble, let me know. Thunderbird 22:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I know, but whenever I give it the picture and click on "Upload File", It says that the file is corrupted. What should I do? I've tried uploading on at least 6 wikis, but everytime it gives me the same thing.--Bonusstagefreak/sig 22:47, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Then most likely the file is corrupted, and it shouldn't be uploaded. It could have a script or virus hidden in it, or it could be the wrong MIME type. Thunderbird 23:11, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Brilliant

I have frankly never seen something so funny. I don't think I have ever laughed harder in my life. You have a wonderful sense of humor, and I hope you pull a stunt like this again. — Seriously (Talk) 01:55, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. That happened the night before Flashforward, after I had left IRC to get an early night in bed before the big day. I noticed on recent changes Dot com and Tom were doing some kind of username debugging. So instead of going to bed I lurked for a while, after every test username he created, I would add another "journal entry" to corrispond to it. Nice to know my work is appreciated. ;) Thunderbird 02:22, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, it's appreciated. I think that you should make that a fanstuff article. I really do. — Seriously (Talk) 02:29, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

HP PhotoSmart 315

Hi Thunderbird. Was just going to remark that I have the same exact camera model as you. May I ask if you used all three diamonds when you took this pic? I was wondering what other users of that camera preferred to use. And while I'm here, I'd like to ask if you've received a package from me yet. And would it be OK to congratulate a certain someone on his recent bundle of keychains and more from you? Thanks a bunch. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 17:29, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey man, long time no see! And in case you didn't realize, the and more is the reason why I requested the replacements for myself. ;) Thunderbird 02:48, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, more diamonds means improved resolution and quality. I just thought I'd ask since it's such an old camera and all— older than the First generation iPod, in fact. I really hope you'll receive the package soon, since it's been a while now. It must due to the geographical distance between us. And yeah, I realized the reason for you needing replacements. =) —THE PAPER PREEEOW 15:44, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey, you commented on how Songs might benefit from tables. I agree with you, but haven't ever done that before. Can you point me to examples of tables I can kinda go by to make that happen? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 03:43, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Floppy Disk Container is one. Here's a table you can copy if you wish:

(The stuff at the top is technical stuff, but if you really want to be creative with your table try changing it around a bit. obviously "#eeeeee" means color, and most of those little one digit numbers mean how thick most of the table lines are)

{| border=1 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=2 style="border-collapse:collapse"
|- bgcolor=#eeeeee
! Something !! Another Thing !! As Many Things As You Want !! Let's try four this time.
|- id="id_tags_are_optional_but_sometimes_useful"
| Then you can stick something here, maybe an image or whatever. || See the two vertical line break things? Stick them there to seperate the column. || just remember that however many of the breaks you make || Are the same number as the double ! breaks you make first to name the columns.
|- id="id_tags_are_just_used_to_link_to_a_specific_part_of_the_table"
| Remember that after your four (or however many columns you chose), press enter, add a vertical line break, and then a dash, then go enter again. || When starting a new line for your table, you have to start it with a ''single'' vertical line as well, like the single ! you put first when naming your columns to begin with. || || You can even make sections blank, but you still need the right number of double line breaks.
|- id="and_as_a_technical_point_ids_can_not_start_with_a_number"
| <-- Don't forget that line to start your column. || <-- Or that there's the same number of those sets of breaks as there are title columns, in this case four. || [[Image:RebootTurbo.PNG|150px|An Image in a table can't be a thumb or anything]] || Finish off your table with a new line, then...
|} <!-- Finish your table with that. a line and a curly bracket -->

That all makes...

Something Another Thing As Many Things As You Want Let's try four this time.
Then you can stick something here, maybe an image or whatever. See the two vertical line break things? Stick them there to seperate the column. just remember that however many of the breaks you make Are the same number as the double ! breaks you make first to name the columns.

I hope that helps! There's lots of other technical stuff you can do as well, such as making a table only a certain width, lots of color variations, etc, but if you want a basic table, that's the layout. Once you start a table, users are bound to come over and tweak it a bit later. Thunderbird 16:48, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh good. I just threw that up there a long time ago, I should probably change that. I just chose those numbers because that's what I use, and it looks good to me. Thinking about it now though, it's probably got a pretty flexible layout, yeah. Thanks, I'll change that a bit later to something fresh. Thunderbird 07:30, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

My bro

Is it ok if my bro makes a user on here. I am telling you this so you guys don't think I am creating sockpuppets or anything. He is wanting the user:lil H*bad by the way.--H*bad 22:34, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

I guess it doesn't matter.--The cheatman 01:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Seriously

I don't think that *'s are allowed on here. I don't want to be a tattle tail but he has a lot of them on his page.--The cheatman 01:01, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Not here bro. The mighty thunderbird has no power at the fanstuff. So leave him alone.--H*bad 01:03, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
{This has since been changed}

Moving day

I am now moving in to this wiki. They don't like me so well at the Fanstuff so I am moving here to the good wiki.--H*bad 00:27, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

What's In a Name. Really

Hey why do you have your name translated into Spanish, German and Hebrew? Any particualr reasons? Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 00:42, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Heh, not really. Just because we have users here that speak Spanish, German, and Hebrew, so I figured why not. You're welcome to add a translation of "Thunderbird", if you know it for Ukranian or something. Thunderbird 01:53, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
"Meh," He tought, "Why not". So here's the closest I can get to it as there is no such thing as a thunderbird in Ukraininan: гримовий птах. BTW don't wanna suck up or anything but SWEET PAGE Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 20:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks man, that's totally being added. is гримовий "Thunder", and "птах" Bird? Thunderbird 20:55, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

"I left something in the Sandbox". Heh, that's gotta be one of the funniest quotes of yours I've ever heard. But yeah, that would be a decent alternative. Perhaps propose a revision at Elcool's STUFF page. I'm just waiting for them to decide it's fate. :) Thunderbird 22:05, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Since mean ole Dot Com busted the party ;) Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:18, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

I realize I was the party pooper, but we shouldn't encourage voting on personal things or use STUFF elements outside STUFF pages. I like the userbox, though. — It's dot com 22:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh, I understand, hence the winky. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:22, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the revision though, Qermaq. I'm gonna go change it right now. Thunderbird 22:31, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Mind If I use this for my page? No, okay thanks (lol) Raptor5ix-Image:Raptor5ixsiggy.png 00:31, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
I came up with the original, but Qermaq added the image for me. In any case, go right ahead. Fair trade for your translation skills. ;) Thunderbird 00:43, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Canada?

You live in Canada? What is it like there? Do you ever eat interesting foods, like... back bacon? Did you perhaps learn a second language, like French? Or have a pet... walrus? In any case, nice to meet you Canuck. Qermaq (Talk | contribs) 00:10, 11 April 2006 (left unsigned)

Yes I do live in Canada. It's cold up here in the winter. I eat back bacon on occasion, but usually I prefer normal bacon. I probably should have learned a second language, but didn't. I used to have a few pets, Dogs, cats, rabbits, but currently I have none. Nice to meet you too, Qermaq. Thunderbird 04:14, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh, ho! I was indeed nice to meet you, Poopaw! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:24, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

autograph?

Woah, you got an autograph from Matt and Mike? Lucky! Man... I live in Seattle, and yet I didn't go to Flashfoward! — talk Bubsty edits 04:38, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Heh, well it would have been pricey for you anyways. Upwards of... several hundred dollars. There'll probably be another chance for you sometime though. Thunderbird 07:21, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Contents Question

The top line regarding Thundery rath and all that, is just to protect my Talk archives navigation template, so you can go from month to month of old conversations. The reason my userpage does not have a table of contents, is simple. If you look at the very bottom of the code (by clicking "edit" but not saving it) I put at the bottom a little "__NOTOC__". What that does, is prevents a table of contents from appearing. "Don't ask me why I did it... Because I already forgot." Now whether they appear or not, is somewhere under your personal preferences, the same place you set your sig, etc. You choose in your personal settings to display Tables of Contents or not. If you choose to show them, then once a page gets more than three headers (A header is defined by a little edit tag so you can edit the sub section), then it will display a table of contents for you. Putting "__TOC__", "__NOTOC__" or "__FORCETOC__" on a page will override your preferences. The first one will make the TOC appear after a page has three headings (regardless of what you have selected in your preferences), the second one will not allow the TOC to appear, and the third one will cause a TOC to appear on the page even when there's less than three headings. Some of these are used on pages around the wiki, for instance you'll notice The updates pages shouldn't have tables of contents whether it's selected under preferences for you or not. Since that page has so many headings, a TOC would be very long, therefore we use __NOTOC__. But whether they appear or not, they're automatically generated, you won't see a code for them or anything. I hope that answers your question Yoshi, let me know if you have any others. Thunderbird 07:45, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
To clarify: normally a page will automatically get a TOC just before the first heading if there are more than 3 headings on the page (provided it's turned on in your prefs). __NOTOC__ forces there to be no TOC, __FORCETOC__ forces there to be a TOC, and __TOC__ forces there to be a TOC and moves the TOC to where you wrote __TOC__ (instead of the normal place, between the opening text and the first heading). This lets you do fancy things, like <div style="float:right">__TOC__</div> to get a floating TOC (like on my talk page). On a tangent, is a similar tag, __NOEDITSECTION__, which stops the [edit] links from appearing next to the headers. --phlip TC 07:56, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Happy easter

hello thunderbird l17, how are you, how is easter (If you celebrate it?)?

Anything happen to you?

Nikolce Kocovski 01:58, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi Nikolce. Though I don't actually celebrate Easter, I do observe something similar, and I appreciate the sentiment. Not much has happened lately, except that I've been looking after somebody's house and dog while they're in Italy. Talk to you later, Thunderbird 02:14, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

NYU Talk

I noticed NYU Talk on your unfinished jobs. I have the DVD of it as was planning on doing it. You want to do it together? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 21:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I've been planning on getting around to it, but I'm still gonna be pretty busy for the next few days. That's what they did for me. :) Thunderbird 22:54, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Good Idea. Can I do it with you? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 23:01, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Sure. You can start working on it, if I have time I'll try to get some done too. And of course I and other users will probably try to help out a bit too, once you get the ball rolling. Thunderbird 05:19, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

I decide to abandon the first one. Thankyou for helping me!

If it wouldn't be too much of a hassle for you, you could update the small homsar image with C Sours' image of homsar in motion, since this is the image in my sig right now. If it's too much trouble for you, you can just delete it. Thanks.--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 00:06, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
