Welcome!

Hey, Loafing, welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We can always use new registered users around here, so I'm glad you're on. A word of warning, though: Before you do any major editing, you'll want to read up on our editing standards. And if this is the first MediaWiki based wiki (or first wiki) you've used check out the MediaWiki User's Guide, or for quick reference, our Help:Editing page. If you have any questions that aren't answered on our FAQ, post them on its talk page, or you can ask me directly. Most people here are pretty good about assuming stupidity [read: ignorance] rather than malice. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 00:16, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Cheers :-) — Loafing 08:04, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Teen girl squad summary

Hello, I must tell you to refrain from cursing on your summaries. There are little kids here who might find if offensive and never come back. We want to keep this site as clean as possible.--H*Bad 05:06, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for that. Happened in the heat of the moment. Is there a way of changing a summary afterwards?  Loafing 05:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Yes. But only by the developers. Maybe ask Tom.--H*Bad 05:10, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Cheers. I just did :-)  Loafing 05:23, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi there!

Hey, Loafing, just wanted to tell you I've seen you editing around here lately and that you're doing good work for our wiki. Keep up the good work! Heimstern Läufer 11:54, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks :-D Loafing 12:00, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

You're awesome!

If a new sysop nomination page comes up, I nominate you. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 02:08, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Lol, cheers ;-) You're not too bad yourself :-P  Loafing 02:45, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
thanks! i like to be a bit humble and low-key, though. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 03:02, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

SQT!

Ding, first time winner!
Congrats! --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
That goes straight on my mantlepiece! Oh, wait. Maybe I'll just drink it. Loafing 14:31, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
You could always let it ferment and become Suudsu Ale. --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
Ummmmmmm-kay. I just hope it doesn't turn out like this ;-)  Loafing 14:46, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Why? It tastes best like that! --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
I'll give it a try, then. But it better be good! ;-) Loafing 02:48, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
-laughs- --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
I've always wondered: do you drink Suudsu, or eat it like cereal? Trey56 10:21, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Here you go!

Hooray for you!

here's a certificate to show your greatness. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 11:03, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Lol! Thanks, dude. That's really nice of you. But are you sure you want to use your second personal image just for me? You could make the certificate more generic and give it out to more people on different occasions. Anyways, I'm gonna frame this one ;-)  Loafing 00:39, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
You know what? You're right. Sorry, but this image is going to have to be replaced. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 04:21, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
No worries, it's the logical thing to do. I've saved the certificate on my harddrive :-P  Loafing 04:24, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Jorge

Saw your edit - Did you know that Jorge is a Spanish name, and it's not so much Americans as Spanish-speaking people who pronounce the name (correctly) as "hor-hay" because that's what the letters sound like in Spanish? I say it that way, but I do that because that's how it's said, all the time. I wonder - is there a significant Spanish-speaking population down south where you're at? Curious. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

No, there's no significant Spanish population down here, but there is actually someone from Venezuela in my lab that I can ask tomorrow ;-) Anyways, I did have Spanish at school for four years. And there is this sound that native English speakers can't usually make (the hard "ch" in German, or the hard "j" and "g" in Spanish) and thus replace with "h". I only learned Spanish Spanish, and this might be different for Mexican Spanish for example. I'll see if that Venezuelan girls knows. I'll take any chance to talk to the lady-types ;-)  Loafing 04:50, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
I hear ya, brotha. Them Americans with their cheap imitations for sounds. How can someone live with himself and not be able to pronunce khet? (that's how I like to write that sound you're reffering to) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Sysop

Hi there Loafing. It is my distinct pleasure to announce that you have been given sysop privileges and responsibilities. If you have any questions, never hesitate to ask. May you always use your powers for good and for awesome. Thanks. -- Tom 05:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Wow, this is still unreal. Thanks for trusting me this much, you guys. ^_^ Hmmm, I wonder if this turns me into a chick magnet, or just a bigger geek...  Loafing 06:06, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Congratulations Volkert! I know that you've only been here for three months, but in that little tim you've made a big change to the wiki. You are one of the founders of the subtitles project and with Phli made the code to it. Youve been a helping hand to new users and helped reverting vandalism. You are a great user and you deserve your sysophood. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:17, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Ah, I remember back in the olden days, shortly after you joined, seeing your work on the wiki and thinking "Man, I could easily see that kid becoming a great wiki user one day." Then, of course, I learned you weren't a kid, but the sentiment held. Ah, good times. Wait, what do you mean it was only two months ago? --phlip TC 08:25, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Club Sysopnochocolate or whatever it is! Congrats and keep up the good work! --Jay (Talk) 08:27, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Never again will we have to ask, "Aren't you a sysop yet?" Congrats, Loaf. — Lapper (talk) 12:10, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Ausgezeichnet! Viel Spaß und Glück! Ich glaube, du wirst einen Zug auf die Vandalen fallen lassen. ;-) Heimstern Läufer 17:34, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
I know, I know, I already congradulated you on IRC, but to make it so everyone can see it, "Many combolations, Elizagerth!" I think that you are the youngest sysop (By youngest I mean, how long you have been on here). Now that is cool!--H*Bad 13:21, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Ooh — I see I'm late. Congraturation! For most of the time you've been a member here, I've seen you perform quite a few sysop-like tasks; I'm glad to see you endowed with some powers that will equip you to serve the wiki even more fully! (for good or for awesome) Trey56 07:57, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Theres no butt in team

i dont know all the fancy ways of messaging or formatting, so forgive me if this is entirely or partially wrong in form or function. [1] You wrote me a message about the above link complaining that I was being the butt in team, and being negative and I have to defend myself. I was not being negative, and while trying to avoid sounding like a cynic, i was being truthful. There was nothing inherently negative in what i said. I said if you want to ask a question, do it on the forum. That is true. I said if you have a theory, post it here and people will argue about it. That is true. I said that those arguments can become long. That is true.

What did i do wrong? Maybe it was a little sarcastic, but I hardly think i am making the hrwiki a "worse place". And the thinly veiled threat of "its your choice" seemed highly inappropriate. --JamesDean 07:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Moved the discussion to User talk:JamesDean#There's No Butt In Team to keep it in one place. Loafing 08:23, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Did you notice this change that I made to your sig last week? (It's usually not OK to change someone else's sig, but I thought it's what you wanted, and it was faster than explaining it)  Loafing 21:17, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Thank You For the Welcome

Double-checked to see if there was any category to put this in. (I keep pages as tidy as I can.) ^^; Anyways, thank you for the welcome. :) This is the second wiki I've signed up on (though this wiki is way bigger than the other one) and I hope to be able to contribute here. Still trying to figure out everything. Hope I do my part here. (First major change I ever made to a wiki, I ended up jumbling up an entire page by accident. I've gotten better since...) Thanks again. :) -WarthogDemon 23:36, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey, no probalo. And yes, you can make more than two edits in one go. It's even better to do that ;-) Have fun at the wiki ^_^  Loafing 07:56, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

I'd also like to say thank you for the gracious welcome. - JudahNielsen 23:41, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Sketchbook

Hey Loafing. I just uploaded that sketchbook image, but it looks like I did it wrong, and it still needs the caption in it. I was about to reupload, but it looks like you protected it. So if you could upload a version with the caption, that would be great. :-) - link_icon.gifThe Joe(Talk) 19:17, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Already done. Sorry that I protected it a bit too soon for you ;-) Loafing 19:22, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Sensor Ship

Ummm... was it really necessary to censor the Willy on Wheels pages that Collin accidentally discovered? The names, while inappropriate as a Wiki page name, were not obscene, and certainly it couldn't have been that bad just to ask about them. --Jay (Talk) 23:58, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, one of them was obscene. No, it wasn't bad for Collin to just ask about them, but if Loafing found the obscene one objectionable, then there's no reason to leave the titles there forever to be stumbled upon by current visitors of Collin's talk page, especially since that particular thread was resolved ages ago. — It's dot com 00:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't see how either one was particularly obscene, at least any more than referring to the vandal as "Willy on Wheels" is obscene. I'm just not one who likes unnecessary censorship. Changing WoW's page name moves back is necessary, and I understand that language is to be kept civil on the Wiki, but this seemed... kinda silly. To me, anyway. --Jay (Talk) 00:13, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
PS. I mean, what, are we going to start referring to the vandal as "xxxxx on xxxxxx"? --Jay (Talk) 00:14, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
The question to me is 1) whether any real harm has been done (no) and 2) whether the user whose Talk page it is can change how things are if they prefer (yes) so I see no sense in debate on this. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:30, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Jay, I do have fundamental problems with censorship. Free speech is not something I take lightly. On the other hand, this is supposed to be a wki for nearly all ages, and part of the blanked out text was clearly obscene. And yes, I did blank out parts that weren't obscene (no, I don't consider "Willy on Wheels" to be obscene). I simply didn't know how far I should go. Just blank out the m-word? You would still get the idea of what that sentence meant. So I decided to just get rid of the whole thing. From what I could tell, Collin wouldn't miss it much, anyway. Loafing 03:11, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

So, what should I do in the future if I find obscene language in the user space? Ignore it? Ask the user to kindly remove it? Put a warning box for obscene language on the top of the page? Remove it? Is there a policy that I haven't found yet? Loafing 03:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

We tend to delete it if it's the title of an article, remove it in the (main) namespace, bleep it out in the Talk: namespace, and drop a line if it's in an edit summary. Other than that, if it's used maturely (i.e. Swears), or if it's mature discussion of the use of such words (i.e. User talk:Collin), it's probably okay to leave it. — Lapper (talk) 17:00, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi

Why were you so mean to me when I tried to contribute to Let Us Give TANKS!? I guess I won't try to help any more... Oh, and just so you know, Spoken is not obscure. They're huge in the underground Hot Topic rock scene, but I guess you wouldn't know that. Neon Predator Calypsan 09:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not Loafing (and I hardly know him), but I don't see anything that suggests he was at all mean about any of your changes. Your a wiki veteran, so you know how this works, rv's happen, discussion happens, consesus happens. We keep the body of the wiki clean, but every page has a Talk page. Bring up specific problems on Talk: for the appropriate page. I hope you aren't dissuaded from contributing.
BTW - "huge in the underground" pretty much means "obscure". BryanCTC 10:14, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Bryanc has basically already said it all, but I guess since I'm the bad guy here, I should reply too. I'm sorry if you thought my edit summary was a personal attack, Neon. It wasn't. At all. I wrote what I thought of the removed bit, not of you. And I do hope you'll contribute to the wiki in the future, even if you get reverted sometimes. Happens to me too ;-) Hmmm, no, I wouldn't know what's huge in the underground Hot Topic rock scene. I simply based the obscurity on their 'Kipedia article. So, again, keep on trangling! Loafing 19:14, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the help

Hi Loafing I just wanted to thank you for helping me when I was a new user doing everything wrong. Oh and happy X-berween - Flamer(talk) 04:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey, no problem. And happy X-berween to you too! And I don't think you did everyting wrong ;-) Loafing 04:41, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Eh?

Look at the Recent Changes. I made a funny 'summary' thing. Boom! Bang! Bing! (That was the lightning!) Well, I hope that's cool enough to add to your list. Talk atcha later, TheYellowDart(t/c). Decemberween is here. Today! (Well... in a couple days it will.)

Haha, thanks for the heads-up, Theyellowdart, but it doesn't quite qualify ;-) The funniest summaries are the ones that weren't intended to be funny, anyway. Better luck next time! Loafing 20:37, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Yea, I see what you mean. Good man. Good man. TheYellowDart(t/c).

hmm...

You reverted my edit about Butt-Patting. You said, "that's not really patting, is it?". Well I put it there because it is related to Coach Z's problem. It's not exactly "patting", but, eh, it is related to the subject. Please can we keep it? TheYellowDart(t/c). P.S. Check out my userpage for my theory of the "New Paper coming in sbemail 173". Also, check out Line Rider, which is also on my userpage. Well, give me holler when you read this, and I'm adding you to a-my Cool People list.

Yeah, I immediately thought of butt-patting when i saw that email. But when I watched it again, I noticed that there was no actual mention of butt-patting. Maybe the Coach just likes to talk about his butt. It would have fit perfectly on the glorious Butt page that I created — which has been broken up into several pages, none of which really fits this occurrence of a butt. Which is a shame. Maybe we should have a generic page to list all interesting appearances of butts that are not covered by the other pages. Loafing 09:02, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but then there will be this huge conflict about de-merging the pages again. TheYellowDart(t/c)
Maybe not if it's a separate page. Loafing 09:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, you're probably right. By the way, it was a toon, not an email. :P --TheYellowDart(t/c)

Help out

  • Hey, I'm thinking about creating a new page, but I don't know what to call it and I don't know all of its info. The page will be about interuppted names Strong Bad usually starts sounding out before getting interrupted by someone. Such as in bottom 10: He says, "and the number one spot in my bottom 10 is... Th--" and then gets interrupted. Please help out. I am sending this to all sysops. --TheYellowDart(t/c)

How do you know he was testing? --TheYellowDart(t/c)

I don't know what his or her intentions were. I'm usually assuming stupidity [read: ignorance] rather than malice. By the way: I also do this when you misuse talk pages as a chat service or edit snickjames' user page. Loafing 23:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Did you just pwn me? TheYellowDart(t/c). Wait. Chat service? Are you quoting scripture? I never used this place just to "chat" with anyone. Please change your ways.
I don't "pwn" people, I warn them. Loafing 00:12, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

My redirected talk page

As a Wikipedia, I understand why you reverted my redirect of my old talk page. I would ask for a checkuser to establish that it is me, but I haven't edited from the old account recently enough to establish it. Is there some way that I could prove that it is me? Like my user name suggests, I forgot the pasword to the old account. Cheers, The Hybrid 22:58, 23 January 2007 (UTC) Note, these posts were originally made under the name "Hybrid forgot his passord".

Hey there, it seems your IPs are the same, so that sounds reasonable. If you have added your email address to your old account, then you can ask on the login page for your password to be reset. Loafing 23:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
I'll check, and thanks. How did you know about the IPs? Is Wikia's check user more advanced then Wikipedia's? The Hybrid 23:02, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
It's Dot Com told me on IRC, nothing magical about that ;-) And we're not Wikia, by the way! Loafing 23:04, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Er, MediaWiki. The Hybrid 23:05, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
I guess I'll worry about the checkuser after I get used to this place. Well, this place seems far less corrupt then Wikipedia anyway. That's always a plus. Cheers, The Hybrid 23:06, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks :-) And happy editing, now that Dot Com has fixed your account! Loafing 23:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Just a heads up

Brightstar Shiner is waiting for a reply from a sysop here. Nobody has replied in a while, (I know I'm supposed to be patient when it comes to talk pages, but) I'm just asking you if you'd reply to her. See you around, TheYellowDart(t/c)

Vandalism???

http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=Strong_Bad&diff=408441&oldid=408440 Whoa Loafing! You're saying there's vandalism here too? --Addict 2006 04:48, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh, yeah. We got vandals all right. We got this season, last season. Even some I just made up! (Disclaimer: I do not vandalise.) So come on down to Discount Vandal Warehouse. We got vandals like you wouldn't believe. --DorianGray

I kinda wanna talk to someone

Trey56 doesn't seem to be here right now, so I guess you'll do. You see, the weekly stuff haven't been updated on the official site yet. I mean, they did update early last week. --Addict 2006 13:52, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Hey Addict 2006 — sorry, I haven't had a chance to formulate a reply to the link you put on my talk page. The weeklies are usually updated anytime on Thursday or Friday, so I wouldn't be surprised if they show up soon. Hope that helps, Trey56 14:38, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey there, Addict. If you just want to talk to people, then you should maybe try our chat channel. There are usually bored people there who you can talk to ;-) Loafing 04:58, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Whoops

Sorry, I thought that a large portion of the transcript to strong badathlon had been removed by mistake. Somehow, my revert made it worse... Do you have an "in use" template to discourage people from editing articles while someone's making a major edit? Or did I miss it? —Silly Dan (talk) 03:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Hey there, Silly Dan. Yes, I thought it was just a mistake :-) We do have a template for that, and it was actually up like here in this old version of the page. I guess you just missed it. No worries! Loafing 03:27, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm not spamming

No, look. Do I need to STUFF this? I am not spamming. It is soap. TheYellowDart(t/c) 00:06, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

You know well enough that the discussion for this is here, not on my talk page. There's also no need to STUFF this, it's obvious that we can't tell what it is. Loafing 00:07, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Wil Wheaton

Hey dude. I've always known Wil Wheaton was a big Homestar Runner fan (see [2] and [3] for examples). I saw that bit about the flask when I read the TV Squad review yesterday and I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought it was a connection. -- Tom 18:39, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh wow, he is a fan. That makes that sighting much less notable, I guess. Instead, we should just post those google searches ;-) And it wasn't my discovery, it was an anonny's [4]Loafing 19:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello???

See User talk:Addict 2006#02.19.07. --Addict 2006 19:08, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Lazor

Hey why don't you just find out his IP... and if it is the same with each user. Isn't that what It's dot com did to me? --TheYellowDart(t/c) 02:30, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

We usually give the user a fair chance of explaining what's going on, before we get out the big guns. If they are honest, we can resolve this relatively painlessly. 10 days for faking STUFF votes is very lenient, for example. If they try to deny everything, then we won't be as forgiving. And don't worry, the sysops know what they're doing; we've done this before. So relax, sit back, and wait for that transcript ;-) Loafing 02:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I know you've done that before. *cough* *cough* --TheYellowDart(t/c) 02:39, 20 February 2007 (UTC) Yeah, I've been checking H*R every 2 minutes or so to be the first one to get the article and transcript. *pant* *pant* I'm ready.

Redirecting

Hey there Loafing. I was wondering. How do I redirect a page without messing it up? Can you show me? I want "dna evidence" to redirect to "DNA Evidence." Please don't do it yourself, I want to learn. Thanks. :-) --TheYellowDart(t/c) 00:31, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

What you do is you go edit the page you want to redirect from (in this case, dna evidence), and type in #REDIRECT [[the page you want to redirect to]]. --phlip TC 02:56, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you so much. My Wiki Evolution has now expanded! --TheYellowDart(t/c) 03:14, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
A small tip, though: this particular redirect does not actually serve any purpose, as our search is case-insensitive (and that's what redirects are mainly for). DNA would have been a better choice ;-) Loafing 04:09, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
True, but the reason why I wanted that redirect is that I searched for "DNA Evidence" as spelled as "dna evidence" on our search engine, and it didn't redirect. I can make another one though. --TheYellowDart(t/c) 04:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC) I like smilies too. Especially front ways Cupids! <B >KO)->
Are you sure you didn't make a typo? It works for "strong bad", for example. Eenyways, thanks for the cupid, that's very thoughtful! Loafing 04:23, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
The difference is that the initial is case-insensitive, but not the rest of the word. "dNA evidence" would work, but not "dna evidence". Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Looks to me like the whole thing is case insensitive. Searching for cgnu brings up CGNU fine.Shwoo 05:41, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Phlip showed me some of the mediawiki search code, and apparently, there are some complicated rules when which letters are case-insensitive in searches. Some of the comments in the code are "Now try capitalized string", "Now try all upper case" and "Now try Word-Caps-Breaking-At-Word-Breaks, for hyphenated names etc" (really! I didn't make that up!). So yes, it doesn't always work to search for lower-case words. Overly complicated, really. Loafing 06:37, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Shwoo and others: a great example is searching for the User talk of the user EYanyo. Try a search for "User talk:eyanyo" and then try "User talk:eYanyo" (both without the quotes, of course). Why should one work and not the other? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 10:15, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
That is weird. Odd how it still works for CGNU.Shwoo 10:32, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
That's because of all the special cases mediawiki has for searching. Remember the "Now try all upper case" comment I mentioned? That means that they've got an extra section of code for results that are all upper case, creating a different search behaviour for strings like CGNU. It's totally crazy and confusing. They need to simplify that. Loafing 11:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Series 2 Figurines

Yes, it did work once upon a time. Playing the sequence described was, incidentally, the background music from action figure. --Jay (Talk) 23:09, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

\'testing\'

but I did use the sandbox for testing...

That was a mistake on both our parts (that is, Loafing's and mine). Don't worry about it. You did nothing wrong. --Jay (Talk) 00:44, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I'm very sorry! I had already noticed my mistake and deleted the test notice from your talk page. (P.S.: please don't use a proxy to edit the wiki. There's absolutely no need for that) Loafing 00:45, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

'ello governor

Hey Loafing. Can you please help Brightstar and I over at Talk:Neologisms? Thanks, --TheYellowDart(t/c) 23:41, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Meh, I don't really have an opinion on that one, sorry. I'm usually quite opinionated, but not in this case ;-) Loafing 22:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

German Translation

See Heimstern's talk page. See ya around, --TheYellowDart(t/c) 22:20, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Yup, already saw that. He got it right, as always ;-) Loafing 22:27, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Just making sure. Whoa, I didn't know you speak German. Nice. English grammar is hard enough. ;-) --TheYellowDart(t/c) 22:30, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Yes, my grimmer is gut! Loafing 21:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

User: WIKIPEDIA SUCKS

There was no need to block this user. Wikipedia does suck. Everybody knows that. ^_^ Besides, it's not "inappropriate" by any means.--Metropolisforever 14:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

There are two parts to this: a) that user was a suspected sockpuppet of a vandal who was attacking the wiki at the time (see the block log), so I wanted to block him as quickly as possible. After he was confirmed to be a sockpuppet, I did not bother to change the reason for him being blocked. b) That user name is inappropriate as it insults a project that some of our users are actively involved in. User names that are chosen to offend others are not OK. If this would not have been a vandal account, he would not have been blocked, but instead he would have been asked on his talk page to change the name. On a related note, some vandals seem to mix us up with Wikipedia for some reason. I hope this answers your concerns. Keep on tranglin'! Loafing 21:16, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Help please?

Umm, I think i'm not doing it right, but my userbox is fangoriously devouring the rest of my user page... can you help me fix it? DeFender1031 18:57, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Done and done! Loafing 18:59, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks man. DeFender1031 19:00, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
No probalo! Loafing 19:01, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Do you have any suggestions as to how I can improve the rest of my page? DeFender1031 19:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Nah, I think it's fine :-) The userbox tower is kinda ten times as long as everything else, but that's OK ;-) Loafing 20:22, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
That, and the rest of it is just stupid quotes... come on man, i need better ideas! DeFender1031 00:37, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
If I had better ideas, they'd be on my page! But honestly, your user page is for you to tell people who you are. Everything else is just eye-candy. So I guess if you don't know what else to put there, then you've said everything you wanted to say. For now, anyway ;-) Loafing 01:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

privaleges

Of course it's not how it's spelled, it says "pronounced like" for a reason. "pri-vah-lah-gez" isn't how it's spelled, but worse than that, it definitely isn't how he pronounces it. There's definitely a "leh" and a "gess" as opposed to "lah" and "gez".

qod archive

I noticed you had to delete my quote of the week archive I was gunna make. I hadn't read the subpage guidelines before. But is there any other way I can make some archive type page? Homestar-winner

Hmmm, not for your quotes, I'm afraid. You could keep a list on your talk page or on your user page instead. I know, it's not as fancy, but it can actually be kinda cool. Theyellowdart has moved his archive to his talk page, for example. Hope this helps :-) Loafing 11:50, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
OK, I had already seen how Theyellowdart had done his archive but I thought there could be another way. Oooooooh, wellllll. Homestar-winner 13:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, I tried it, but it didn't look good. I might not make an archive or try a bit different way (still on my talk page) sometime later. Homestar-winner 13:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Where did you want me to put this?

"*When Strong Mad visited the Spooky Woods in Where's the Cheat?, even though it wasn't Halloween night like in this toon [Happy Hallow-Day], they were still in their Halloween state." Please post your answer in Talk:Inconsistencies Within the Homestar Runner Universe#The Spooky Woods. Bad Bad Guy 22:40, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
