Gum has appeared or has been referenced to many times in the Homestar Runner body of work.

- A Jumping Jack Contest — When Strong Bad imitates Pom Pom, he says "Dubble Bubble", a reference to a brand of gum of the same name.
- Yearbook Character Page — The Poopsmith's page shows him blowing some gum.
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats — One of the treats that can be given to Bubs is bazooka gum.
- The Cheat's Smoking Challenge — The objective is to have The Cheat pick up pieces of nicotine gum.
- Email 2 emails — Strong Bad comments about doing two emails every week for double the Strong Bad, and double the fun, "That's like Strong Bad gum!" Clicking the words "double the fun" brings up "Strong Bad's Double Deuce-blemint Gum".
- Strong Badia National Anthem — Strong Bad tells Jerome to spit his gum out.
- Email kind of cool — In an Easter egg, Senor Cardgage offers Strong Bad a "slice" of gum.
- Email pizzaz — One of the three G's is gum.
- Email record book — Coach Z and Homsar both stick nine pieces of chewed gum on their faces.

- Email candy product — Bubble gum is element 105 on the Periodic Table of Candy Elements.
- Weclome Back and The Baloneyman — One of the sandwiches that Bubs's Baloney Sammich Truck sells has a gumball in the middle.
- Email trading cards — The sender of the e-mail wants trading cards with a stick of gum inside. Strong Bad remarks that companies who made cards replaced the gum with pink balsa wood and no one noticed.
- Baddest of the Bands — If Strong Bad tries to pour bleach into the pond, he mentions that he once put a gum wrapper in the pond, causing Marzipan to hit him with Carol.
