Whose Dan is this, anyway?

The name Dan appears numerous times in the Homestar Runner body of work, especially in the newer games. The name is frequently used as "[verb] 'em up, Dan!" and "[adjective] Dan".

The Brothers Chaps have acknowledged their cousin Dan as a comedic influence. After Matt Chapman was interviewed by Dan from Carmel, Indiana in late 2003, the use of "Dan" became more prolific.
