I could really use a massage. (from one of those professional masseuses)

Okay heres a message. Hi. You're on facebook too, huh... I'm so badly addicted to that site, and this site, and fanstuff, and homestarrunner.com... ok, so I barely get off the puter all day 'cept for classes, and barely for homework. Oh well. Oh, and flash... i'm addicted to flash. Maybe someday i'll be almost as famous as TBC for somethin in flash... like when pigs fly... but you never know. Get autographs now while they're cheap! Oh, cwap... I think maybe I wasn't supposed to put this here? Sorry. -Jenny

Useful Documentation Links I've found

Other useful Links

  • Search this site using Google. (I need a better link than this one).

TODO List

  • All work stuff moved here. The talk is now just for Talking. Sort of.

Contributions

  • Cool! Wow! My first serious contribution! check out: The Geddup Noise. It's not yet complete, and it definitely it a lot of work! But all These guys you see in the history have worked hard at getting this list right! Amazing how much goes into one little article! I'm tired. I need to go back to the world of responsability again :(. Take care ppl! --Stux 04:32, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)
    • Great job with that article! ^-^ You and Joshua did great with it (although I helped. A little). Good luck with future articles too. I might suggest making note of it on your actual user page too, along with the talk page. (I like it on the talk page, though. It lets people--like me--give random and well-deserved congratulations.) In closing, keep up the nice work. --DorianGray
      • Thank you for the kind comment DorianGray! You have a wonderful night! :) --Stux 04:50, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I really could use that free massage (from one of those professional masseuses) you promised.

Geocities

If your website is hosted by geocities free then how you get a domain??? – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 08:06, 30 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Hehe! It's a secret! Actually, it's a little thing called domain parking! You register your domain (you gotta pay for that part) and "park it" -- you don't buy hosting. Many sites will offer free website redirection and will mask the real address (this is what I do). Two A good place is godaddy.com which is dirt cheap and offers lots of features, and is the only registrar I use at this moment. and names direct which offers a couple (not really that many) of other features but at a greater expense per year. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions. --Stux 14:02, 30 Sep 2005 (UTC)
How much do you pay??? – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 05:58, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Well, the geocities page is one of their free ones (hence the ads and the limit on web space and traffic -- but mine's not a very big and important page so I don't care about that). All I pay for is the domain -- this one runs at about $40/year, while another one I have is $14/year and both include "domain protect" which keeps my personal information private in the Whois Database. --Stux 06:02, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
Well. This is awesome. – Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 06:28, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

UPDATE: I am no longer a customer of namesdirect nor do I trust that company that much anymore. I have since switched exclusively to GoDaddy. --Stux 04:31, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Jackie C.

Just so you know, Jackie C. is Jackie Chapman, Matt's wife.--minibaseball.png Bkmlb(talk to me·stuff I did) 15:42, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

OOOOOHH! Why thank you very much! Very, very much! --Stux 15:45, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Subpages

Hey Stux. I notice you have some stuff on this page that isn't really talk. My guess is that you don't want it on your main user page. May I suggest a subpage? Perhaps "User:Stux/to-do". You're allowed to have subpages for projects you're working on and other things that further the goals of the wiki. — It's dot com 19:36, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Cool! Thanks for the tip! --Stux 19:38, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

I adjusted the formatting on the email table to the wiki format, which hopefully will make it easier for you to use. — It's dot com 20:18, 1 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Gray backgrounds

Oh! You were so close! When you first started uploading those, I looked to check them out, and realized that they were going to be very good. I was gonna leave you a note on your talk page, but when I noticed how fast you were uploading, I decided not to mess up the beauty of your string of edits. I can't believe you got all the way to 3 before it was interrupted... Man! And, before I forget to say it in all my ramblings, good jorb! — It's dot com 03:48, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

LOL! Why thank you very much Hamstring, er Homegrown, er It's dot com! I didn't even see the string of edits uuntil I refreshed my Recent Changes tab... Wow! I got lucky that there was a lull too! Hehe I'm glad you liked the edits! --Stux 03:53, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)
BTW I learned from the best! I noticed you and BazookaJoe going at it with those page deletions earlier today! --Stux 03:58, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the congradulations. :)– Pertmywert (Talk·Edits) 21:08, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Finally I found it!

I really didn't look for it, but the other day I really wanted to post this picture in my user space. I finally found it and I'm posting it. It pretty much describes how I've been feeling all week. Meh! --Stux 01:05, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)

P.S. Kudos for whoever made the template {{clear}} found here Template:clear. Even THAT i had to dig for again cuz it didn't occur to me to bookmark it or copy it to my page. Oh well. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Much better!

I feel better and more relaxed now!

In the news...

I think I will no longer be reading my current news from regular, hyped up news franchises, but instead from a truly unbiased (relatively speaking) source like the Wikipedia. Case in point:

  • The 2005_Indian_subcontinent_earthquake is a very recent, tragic event. This article on the wiki has been published the same day of the event. It cites the BBC article among others, and you can tell the night and day difference in tone, sensationalism and objectivity. Wow.
  • How I long for jounalists to attain the same level of true objectivity as encyclopedia writers are required (this wiki is a great example, beleive it or not). My apologies to those who are in the journaling business and also contribute/read the wiki. I am not trying to offend anyone but rather to make an observation.
  • In the meantime I will keep the people in Pakistan, Afghanistan and India in prayer.

--Stux 17:07, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Well it turns out there is a Wiki News project out there already! It's early so I haven't read the articles, so I can't render a verdict. Good day all! --Stux 13:29, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

Wha?

What are you talking about with "Thanks for catching my little swappage in the Stinkoman page"? Seek Bar

Stress

Stux, what are those recent templates for? We have those images uploaded. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 00:57, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

The templates are meant for "easy coding" for the stress level images (they link to them directly), that way people just need to change the level simply by changing the stress level number. I wanted to try it out and see if people would like to use that for their pages. If they are too much trouble I can remove them. --Stux 01:01, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
No trouble at all. Just curious. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:07, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

Heh

I caught that Robin Hood: Men in Tights edit summary. That's what it was, right? Anyway, I love that movie. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 17:04, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

Lol! Awesome! Yup! that's right! Only that it's actually "D-E-E-D" but I'm used to saying it the other way. I wasn't sure if anyone would catch that! Yeah, it's an awesome movie. I gotta get my girlfriend to watch it, I know she'd like it! --Stux 17:08, 13 October 2005 (UTC)

IDs

The IDs for the costumes page were to the individual years, which are now taken care of by the individual pages. That's why there aren't IDs on the new pages (although, if someone wanted to get really ambitious, he or she could put 'id="homestar"', etc. on all the pages. But that's a topic for another day, probably). Also, you don't need to put underscores in the links. The software takes care of that. — It's dot com 18:17, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Sounds like a job for grape nuts I R F 18:21, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
Edit Conflict: I thought the one for Thy Dungeonman specifically was for the specific costume it was referring to (that is Strong Sad's costume? (LOL i didn't even catch the "pub" the first time I read it. ) Of course, SS is third on the list so it doesn't really matter as much now, does it? As for the underscores... um yeah... I was kinda lazy there, cuz I just copied and pasted the corresponding URLs and removed the header part of the url... :) *whistles* anyway... since you already fixed the old ones while I was typing, I'll keep an eye out for the new ones! (This will sound silly, but who's grape nuts!?) --Stux 18:25, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
User:GrapeNuts is a bot belonging to JoeyDay. He's programmed for automated tasks and replacements and stuff like that. It's pretty wild. --DorianGray

WikiTroll

Oops, sorry about that early post thing. Was an accident. But what I wanted to say is that if a troll has been blocked, it doesn't need to go on the WikiTroll page. That is simply to bring the troll to a sysop's attention, and especially with this WikiTikiTavi guy, it is just not worth the time and energy. This is probably good news for you eh? small_logo.pngUsername-talk 06:52, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

LoL I thought that was an interesting message. I was thinking of leaving some smart quip like "nice message" but I figured I'd wait and see what developed. BTW you're fast on them reverts! Yeah, you're right, it really isn't worth my time and energy. But when I started noticing, I didn't know if there were sysops around so I did it anyway. Yeah at least I know now they're being block so yeah you bring an excellent point. The last ones I still wanted to make sure they didn't get 'missed' or whatever might've been going through my mind. Now to breathe... and then go to bed!
On another note, the pages this guy targets are usually the same, only deviating slightly. The usernames seem generated and are fairly similar. He is pretty fast but I dunno if he's using a script. It seems like he/she is though. Oh well. --Stux 07:02, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
I'll just answer my own questions with links, how's that? --Stux 07:09, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

All this blocking crap

Ok, problem solved, thanks for helping. But, what it said was something like, This IP adress has been blocked by Homestar Coder for some bad editing thingy. Initial something was "wow."

:There is the possabillity that we could've made a mistake, (Which is what i think happened), in which case, you can contact Homestar Coder. Sorry for the inconvienience. That's pretty much all I can remember. Sorry. — talk Bubsty edits 03:44, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

+be

What does "+be" stand for?--Stephen923

I'm not sure, it depends on the context, where did you see that? Was it one of my edits? If it was one of mine it most likely means I added the word "be" to the text. Can you provide a link to the edit? Thanks! --Stux 16:54, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
