Ron Cumberdale is the person the first of The Three Keepers of Trogdor will turn Rather Dashing into if you get his question wrong. He was a kid from fourth grade who that keeper hated. He was a big loser and he smelled bad. If Rather Dashing changes into him, there won't be any way for you to beat Trogdor, so you'll get a game over.
Ron's name might be a reference to the popular web cartoon Salad Fingers. In the cartoon, one of his friends is a finger puppet called Hubert Cumberdale.
