Homestar Runner and Strong Sad's Relationship

"It is strong sad and strong unfortunate what happened to your face! Ooh!"

Homestar Runner is one of the few people Strong Sad can openly express annoyance with. Homestar also fails to acknowledge Strong Sad's presence due to the former's ignorance, and even if he does recognize him, he just ignores him like he's nothing. Despite this, Strong Sad sometimes seems to be closer to Homestar than his own family.

• Strong Sad's Lament — Strong Sad writes that his New Year's resolution is not to feel bad about wanting to hit Homestar.
• Experimental Film — Strong Sad tells Homestar to shut up when he embarrasses him.

• Halloween Potion-ma-jig — In one scenario, Strong Sad asks Homestar, "do you even have half a brain?"

• The Luau — Homestar doesn't notice that Strong Sad has been at the luau for "about twenty minutes".
• The Best Decemberween Ever — Even though Homestar stops in front of Strong Sad and sighs several times, he still reacts in surprise when Strong Sad starts speaking.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 16.2 — Since Strong Sad is taking care of Marzipan's house while she is away, Homestar believes he is Marzipan.

Strong Sad finally turns him into a macramé owl and hangs him on Marzipan's "'70s basement wall". This terrifies Homestar and prompts him to refer to macramé as his "worst nightmare".

• A Jumping Jack Contest — Homestar congratulates Strong Sad for completing twice as many jumping jacks as he did the previous year.
• Email labor day — Homestar and the other party guests laugh at Strong Sad's mockery of the DELETED! running gag.
• Email army — Strong Sad joins the Homestarmy.
• Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — Strong Sad lets Homestar and Pom Pom know that Strong Bad and The Cheat were hiding behind the fence.
