[edit] Button Effects

  • Toons — Homestar holds up a lyre and strums it. Moving off the button causes him to put it back down.
  • Games — A green, clawed hand, surrounded by fire, reaches up through the clouds with a roar.
  • Characters — Three planes from an air show approach and veer upwards, respectively trailing red, white, and blue streaks.
  • Downloads — Homestar plays the lyre again, but a string breaks. Moving off again lowers the lyre.
  • Store — One of the planes spirals down and crashes through the clouds.
  • E-mail — Strong Bad walks by, singing, "Keep on knockin' on Heaven's door." He then falls through the clouds and yells, "Holy crap!"

[edit] Fun Facts

[edit] Trivia

Old Homestar look.
  • This Main Page has an unfinished version with a number of differences:
    • The Main Page Messages are fixed; the "new cartoon!" link leads to A Jorb Well Done, the "another homepage" leads to Main Page 10, the "more messages" link leads to Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 2.0, and the "new toons menu" link leads to the current toons menu.
    • Homestar is in his sixth design and Strong Bad his fifth, and the frame and buttons are in the original plain design (as can be seen on Main Page 10 and the Luau Main Page).
    • The buttons on the left don't work correctly. Only the Downloads and Museum buttons work. The other buttons do nothing.
    • Mousing over the Downloads or Store buttons causes Homestar to move his mouth without saying anything.
    • The only button with a special effect is Email, which is the same as the normal version of Main Page 6 (except that Strong Bad's mouth doesn't open in surprise). Strong Bad's "Holy crap!" is slightly extended.
    • Email is above Downloads, instead of below Store.

[edit] Goofs

  • When Strong Bad is singing, his mouth doesn't move.
  • When the demonic hand appears after rolling over "Games", a white box-shaped border overlays the clouds.

[edit] Fixed Goofs

  • Rolling over "E-mail" and "Games" at the same time caused a white square to overlap Strong Bad where the frame of the demon's hand is. This was later corrected, although the white square is still present.
