By the way, Homestar-winner, I noticed your message — if you see any users with subpages that don't fit the requirements, go ahead and post a message on their talk page bringing it up. Or, if it's a more widespread issue (i.e., several different users have a type of subpage that you think shouldn't be allowed), bring it up over at HRWiki talk:User space. More than likely, those supages still exist only because nobody's noticed them yet, and any user (not just sysops) can and should help to make sure that pages on the wiki conform to policy. Anyway, hope that helps! 01:04, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

:Thanks Trey. Well, I just now noticed Addict 2006 still has an April Fools subpage up (it's out-dated anyway). Maybe someone could talk to him about that. 23:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Welcome

Hey there, Homestar-winner, this is ACupOfCoffee, and on behalf of myself and the rest of the Welcoming Committee I'd like to welcome you to the Homestar Runner Wiki. If you've never contributed to a wiki-based project before, then it'd be worth your while to check out the MediaWiki User's Guide and our own Help:Editing page. I need to let you know that before you start contributing substantially, you really ought to read our HRWiki:Standards page so you don't waste your time adding content that will just wind up deleted or worse, get you blocked from editing. If you have any questions, try the HRWiki:FAQ, and if your question isn't answered there, post it at HRWiki talk:FAQ.

You've got your own user page, and you can put basically anything you want on it as long as it follows our HRWiki:User space policies. Another page you'll probably visit a lot is our community portal: The Stick. Remember, our goal here is a comprehensive Homestar Runner knowledge base. Oh, and don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages. Typing a string of 4 tildes (these little guys: "~") is all it takes. The system'll do the rest. I'm going to quit talking your ear off now and go do something productive.

Hope to see you around!

Show Preview

Just a tip for future reference for when you're messing with your user page: when you're editing, there is a "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button – if you use that, you can see what you've changed without saving the page, which is easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and it doesn't fill up Recent changes with your edits. --phlip TC 11:54, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

To answer the question on your userpage...

...it's from comic. I couldn't remember either, so I had to use Google to figure it out. Hope to see you around! Has Matt? (talk) 11:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Uhh....

Is this how you would post stuff on talk pages? I don't know if anyone reads other people's talk pages often but I didn't want to mess anyone else's up in case I did this wrong. I'll delete this if I did it wrong. Homestar-winner

Yes, that's exactly how you do it :-) Loafing 21:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Subpage

Hey there, Homestar-winner. Your subpage User:Homestar-winner/qod Archive was not conforming to the user space guidelines, and has therefore been deleted. Hope you understand! Keep on tranglin' Loafing 21:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Main Page Messages

Heylo, I noticed that you edit Main Page Messages sometimes. Did you already do that as an anonymous user before you created an account? Like this one right here? Just curious. (P.S.: I finally replied to your questionLoafing 11:53, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, that was my IP address or whatever. I guess you noticed that I deleted the rolled over section on the messages page this morning. But I just found out about the Homestar wedsite about a year ago so I hadn't seen many MPMs. I originally posted messages I found in pictures on the wiki but now I use the thing "The Paper" posted on the talk page for MPMs. You could also try using it. Homestar-winner 12:15, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
w00t! Well done for joining the wiki :-D Loafing 02:17, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Whoever saw my april fools gag post your name here:

 • Dr. Clash - yup, I saw it. Must've taken a long time to reverse all that. :P
Yeah! Almost all day! Homestar-Winner (talk)
 • TheThin - Me to. Did you use a program or website to do that? cause that would be hard.
Nope. I just retyped everything hitting the arrow that moves the cursor back a letter every time I type a letter so the next letter I type appears behind the previous one I typed. Homestar-Winner (talk)
Wow. TheThin 16:53, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Welcoming

Hey Homestar-Winner. Why don't you create a welcome notice. All you need to do is search this: User:Homestar-Winner/welcome and you will have your own welcome notice. For more information check out mine or Sam Fisher's. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

What things could I change to the standard welcome notice on one of my one? Homestar-Winner (talk) 17:51, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Well, you could do what I did, and that is copy the real welcome notice and add stuff to it and change the wording here and there... --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 17:55, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
I've started doing my own welcome page. I'm still working on it. When I want to post it would I post ? Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:34, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
No. It's . Otherwise, it's possible they could blank out your welcome page (or so I'm told...) --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 00:36, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
You want to put a at the end of your welcoming notice. It represents the date and time. All you need to do is put . That's all you need to do. Bye for now, User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

Feeding the trolls

Great job checking that vandalism earlier, but next time don't berate them directly. As this edit summary shows, it only encourages them. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 06:05, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry Acupofcoffee. It was my first time reverting vandalism and I was happy to help fix the wiki, but I also was annoyed that vandal guy. I'll just do the "rvv" thing next time. Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:17, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Userbox

I noticed how you took the userbox i made. I hope you enjoy it, and if you ever need any more, i'm right here.

-Zerlock1124

Right. Thanks. I was gunna tell you, but aftewr I put it up, I had to get off the computer. Homestar-Winner (talk) 08:40, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Tech

Spiralangus goes to Georgia Tech. Even if he did go to Virginia Tech, I think that suggesting that he put that userbox on his page is rather insensitive (especially one so irreverent). — It's dot com 20:23, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Danggit! I missread it!!!!!!! Homestar-Winner (talk) (also, i don't know what irrevaent means)
It means that the wording in that userbox is a far cry from the somber tone that would be appropriate after such a tragedy. — It's dot com 20:27, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Ooooooooohhhhhhh, ok. I won't offer that suggestion to any person who says they go to Virginia Tech! Homestar-Winner (talk)
So, are you going to revert your message on his page? — It's dot com 20:50, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
I replaced it with saying I was sorry for mistaking him for going to VT. Should i leave it like it is now, or just delete it? Homestar-Winner (talk)
Meh, you probably could have said that in an edit summary when you reverted your edit. Not sure I'd change it now, but whatever. Just try to be more careful in the future. — It's dot com 20:55, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Tip of the Day

The following discussion was moved from User talk:Homestar-winner/Tip of the Day before that page was deleted per HRWiki:User space
If anyone has seen the tip of the day I've made, could you say so here? I want to know if it's worth keeping it or not.
Sincerly,
Homestar-Winner (talk)
I saw it and chuckled at the Simpsons reference. That said, I wonder if there's the slightest relevance to H*R. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:24, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey there, Homestar-winner! Unfortunately, this page doesn't meet the requirements of a user subpage (see here) You're welcome to move it to your main user page, but I'll need to delete this subpage after you've had a chance to copy and paste what's currently on it. Thanks for understanding, Trey56 00:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, just like User_talk:Homestar-winner#SubpageLoafing 00:28, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
D'oh! Forgot! I've seen other peoples do thing like it before and I thought I could. I'll move it to my userpage Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:35, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Sorry again Loafing.
Well, I put it on my user page (but I don't think I'll do tip of the days anymore.) Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for your cooperation; I'm about to delete them. Trey56 00:51, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
