Enemies
Name | Image | Description | Level |
---|---|---|---|
Jaro | File:jaro.PNG | Jaro is a cuplike enemy that can't attack, besides jumping on you. It is destroyed by blasting it once. | 1,5,6,-0 |
Greggo | Greggo is a robot who walks back and forth along the platform he's on. He is a little bit tricky, because if you are looking at him, he will crouch down and become immobile and indestructible. When unguarded, one shot will take him out. One strategy for defeating him is to get on lower ground and jump, shoot, then quickly turn around. However that can be a tad tricky, and you can accomplish the same thing by facing him, shooting, and then jumping (timing your jump to where your shot will hit him when your above him). The easiest strategy was to walk up close to him while he's defending and physically punch him. That used to kill him instantly but has been changed/fixed. Alternatively, fire a shot at him and then walk away from him - he will stop crouching and the shot will kill him. An easier way is to run up next to him, then face the other way. Quickly turn around and fire simultaneously. Then he should die. | 1,-0 | |
Browntant | | Browntant is an enemy that won't move. It will try to shoot you but you can jump over his shots. He also likes to shoot at you while you're on a ladder, but you should be able to just duck under his shots and dart up and get him. It takes 3 hits to kill, but is invincible while flashing between hits. If you walk far enough away that it leaves the screen, its damage will heal and you will have to hit it another 3 times. A blue variety can be found in levels 6 and -0 but it is no different from the normal-colored variety. | 1,2,5,6, -0 |
Chorch | Chorch is a horizontally-flying robot that will try to pinch you. Don't touch him or you'll take damage. Sometimes he floats low above the ground, but usually he floats in mid-air. He always follows the same route back and forth, making him ridiculously predictable. Shoot him once and he'll explode. | 1,2,5,6, -0 | |
Kolkaryu | Kolkaryu is a little flying saucer that appears out of the sky in specific places. He flies in, stops, shoots two bursts of four bullets diagonally downward, and then leaves. He won't chase you, and once he flies away, he's gone for good. You can't damage him, so don't try. When he appears, jump out of range or stand directly underneath him where his bullets do not reach. | 1,2,5,-0 | |
Pooru-Pooru | Pooru-Pooru is a spiky cucumber. Don't confuse it with a cactus. It is planted firmly into the ground and doesn't move. It will sit around, usually in a group, waiting for some unfortunate fellow to fall on it. Touching this plant will hurt Stinkoman, and there is no way to damage it, so it's best to just leave it alone. | 1,2,3,-0 | |
Old Sage | Old Sage is a spike that is usually found in a group. They stay still, either resting on the ground or hanging on the ceiling. If they're over you, don't jump. If they're under you, don't fall. If you happen to touch one, you will die, regardless of how much energy you have. While fighting Ekersby, Old Sages only cost you one unit of energy. | 1,2,4,5,7, -0 | |
Terrell | Terrell is just the head of a chicken that likes to bounce around. One hit and he's gone. | 2,-0 | |
Grundy | Grundy is a wingless chicken wearing running shoes. He walks back and forth on the platform he is on, occasionally speeding up and slowing down. In level 2.2, there are two Grundys moonwalking. You can kill him in one easy shot, so he's a minor nuisance at best. | 2,-0 | |
Stobat | Stobat is a fat chicken with no visible feet. It has an infinite amount of bones inside its body to spit out at you and will spit three at a time. The bones shoot very close to each other, and the best strategy is to get out of range of the third and longest-reaching shot. You have a larger range than the Stobat, so once you get a safe distance away, shoot him. A Stobat takes four hits to kill, and like Browntant, is invincible while flashing red. | 2,-0 | |
Rose Blake | Rose Blake is an electric burner. Don't stand on them when they're white-hot and flashing, but the cool-down time is safe. Learning their patterns is helpful. | 2,-0 | |
Lundsford | Lundsford is a gas flame that comes from ovens. You can learn their habits and stay out of reach by staying at the very edge of the oven. They may be walked on when turned off, but this is unsafe. | 2,-0 | |
Tortan | Tortan is a bottle of itself according to the Stinkomanual. It is a green liquid that usually leaks out of bottles (of itself) and will damage you. | 2 | |
Clowder | Clowder is a cloud with helicopter propellers on him. You cannot kill him, so just avoid him. | 3 | |
Mr. Ubbers | Mr. Ubbers is an angry raindrop that drops down from above in stage 3.1. It can't hurt Stinkoman at all; in fact, touching him does absolutely nothing. He actually does more good than bad. If you punch him, he will disappear in a splash and a gold nugget will fly out. Collecting these nuggets lets you win the level. | 3 | |
Poorbt | File:stinkogame-enemy-poorbt.png | Poorbt will run on occasionally in level 4 and shoot his fist at you. It appears a set time after Stinkoman reaches a certain spot, rather than being in a fixed position. Put your big fist between you and it and you won't be harmed. You can kill him with your fist, but that doesn't seem to achieve much. If you are standing under a lava-fall with your fist straight up, you can press a or s to swing your fist down and block his attack. | 4,-0 |
Gokul | Gokul lies in waiting to attack 1-Up. Kill him by crushing him with rocks sent down by your mighty fist. | 4,-0 | |
Gaspeau | Gaspeau Flies around, back-and-forth, to attack 1-Up. Kill him in the same way as Gokul. He may also appear in level 6.2. | 4,6,-0 | |
Pink Cham Cham | Pink Cham Cham is a double-ended laser gun rolled in green coconut. It fires two lasers upwards at Stinkoman, one from each shooter. The lasers don't hurt your fist so you can hold that over it to kill it, while keeping Stinkoman himself out of the laser's range. | 4,-0 | |
Frotzer | Frotzer is basically a blue Gaspeau that only moves in one direction and is triggered by Stinkoman's progress like Poorbt. Unlike Gaspeau, Frotzer isn't limited in flying distance, so stop it as soon as you see it. | 4,-0 | |
Astromund | Astromund will run after 1-Up in Level 5. His shield means he cannot be kicked from the front - jump over him and then either kick him in the behind or ignore him - he won't turn around. In Level -0, the shield won't work on Stinkoman. You can just shoot them. | 5,-0 | |
The Bendini Sisters | The Bendini Sisters are meteors that fall regularly on the moon. Dodge them or kick them, but don't let them hit you. There are regular Bendini Sisters in level -0, but occasionally, they are replaced with mock-glitchy arrow platforms (which otherwise behave in an identical manner). | 5,-0 | |
Downtant/Uptant | Downtants and Uptants are related to the Browntant. They only take two hits to kill, but shoot five shots at a time, in different directions: two shots are fired horizontally in both directions, two shots are fired perfectly diagonally in both directions and one shot straight is fired up or down, depending on how it is positioned. | 5,-0 | |
Piedmont | Piedmont fires deadly beams of light underneath him. You can't hurt it so dash under him while it is inactive. Touching Piedmont while it's inactive actually won't hurt you. | 5,-0 | |
Stafulter | Stafulter flies around in a fixed pattern, and it can be avoided. It is invulnerable to your shots. | 6,-0 | |
Protek | Protek jumps up and down on the spot. After taking two hits, his cord will disappear and he will be left sitting on the ground. Now he will shoot electric bolts at you, one from each socket - you have to jump over each of these separately, landing between them before jumping again. In simpler terms, jump a second before the first lightning bolt reaches you, and you will land *just* in front of the second bolt, ready to easily jump it. 3 more shots and he will be dead. Like Browntant and Stobat, he is invincible when flashing red. | 6,-0 | |
Postlethwaite | Postlethwaite is not as friendly as the other clouds. Having gotten sick of Stinkoman spending his vacations running around on top of him, this cloud wants revenge. Avoid his lightning bolt at all costs, though he himself is safe to touch between strikes. | 6,-0 | |
Porchi | Porchi is a buzzsaw that comes out of the clouds at regular intervals. It can't be harmed, so run under it or jump over it when it's retracted. | 6,-0 | |
Hash-Haw | Hash-Haw is a saw blade that rises and lowers while moving back and forth. Like Porchi, your best bet is to run under it or jump over it. You should jump over it as it moves towards you. | 6,-0 | |
My Benj | My Benj move around randomly on their platforms. They can be destroyed with one hit, but their small size makes them difficult to kill. | 7,-0 | |
Stothos | Stothos move somewhat erratically, back and forth across their platforms. At set intervals, they will fire a laser straight forward (alternating the direction with each shot.) The lasers must be jumped if they are headed in Stinkoman's direction, but they are high enough to make avoidance difficult. The robots take three hits to kill, and like other similar monsters, they are invulnerable for a moment after a hit. | 7,-0 | |
Fullbide | Fullbide flies at Stinkoman when he enters their territory, in a zig-zag pattern. It can be killed in one hit, but if it isn't killed and Stinkoman doesn't leave the area, another will appear shortly. | 7,-0 | |
Ditmars | Ditmars will freeze Stinkoman temporarily, causing you to lose control of him and ultimately costing him a unit of energy. They cannot be destroyed. | 7 | |
Seeper Mo | Seeper Mo are essentially the same as Pooru-Pooru; you can't kill it, it doesn't move, and touching it costs you a unit of energy. Jump over them, but if many are grouped together, be careful not to slide into the next. | 7,-0 | |
Biztar | Biztar are ordinary platforms or obstacles that can be destroyed if Stinkoman hits them six times. | 7,-0 | |
Unknown | This enemy is a cabbage-like creature that opens up and shoots out two red balls. Only the red ball it shoots to its left will hurt Stinkoman, the one it shoots to its right is harmless. It has only made an appearance in the glitch level -0, although it has been in the object library since the original version. It is only vulnerable while it is open. | -0 |
Other Hazards
These are hazards which are in the game but not referenced in the manual, so the names here aren't official.
Items
Name | Image | Description | Level |
---|---|---|---|
Capsule | File:stinkoman-powercrunch.gif | Capsules are scattered around the levels. They will replenish both Stinkoman and 1-Up's health completely. | 1,2,5,6,7, -0 |
Extra Life | Extra lives give you one extra life. Unfortunately, since you can start at the beginning of any level reached, and since the game lacks checkpoints, extra lives only matter when fighting bosses or trying to run through the whole game at once. | 7,-0 | |
Gold nugget | Gold Nuggets are the little goodies that pop out of Mr. Ubbers when you kill them in stage 3.1. Collecting 20 gold nuggets will let you advance to the next stage. | 3 | |
Bread | Bread is the one item you want to pick up in level 3.2. Touching it will give you one point. | 3 | |
Apple | In level 3.2, Apple will cost you one point if you touch it. | 3 | |
Ear | In level 3.2, Ear will cost you one point if you touch it. | 3 | |
P | In level 3.2, P will cost you one point if you touch it. | 3 | |
Soap | In level 3.2, Soap will cost you one point if you touch it. | 3 |
Bosses
Name | Image | Description | Level |
---|---|---|---|
Tampo | The weak point of Tampo is the cerebellum (the darker colored, lower part of the brain). You can only hit it when it comes near the ground, and you'll need to jump. It starts by coming to the lower right. Stand just in range and shoot it, but make sure you're on the ground when his shots reach you, they shouldn't come close. He will then float to the top-right. You want to be closer to the left edge of the screen to be able to jump this shot. Now run to the right, about mid-screen. Tampo will do the exact same thing on the left, then will return and repeat. Tampo takes 7 hits to kill. The more hits it takes, the faster it gets, so be careful. More info can be found here. | 1 | |
Brody | Brody tries to stomp you with his feet 6 times. then he'll try to peck you with his beak. Just shoot Brody's eye when it appears. Brody takes 5 hits to kill. More info can be found here. | 2 | |
Stlunko | Stinkoman will ride a conveyor belt on Stlunko with a Pooru-Pooru at each end, while Stlunko tries to pound him with his fists. You must shoot at the wall on his head until all of the sections of the wall have been destroyed - in total, this takes 16 hits. More info can be found here. | 3 | |
Saargtsson | Saargtsson jumps up from the lava and shoots lasers at you, while his flame jet friend (Firey-Hot) shoots from the roof. Only the end of his tail is vulnerable. Each section takes two hits, and his head takes 3 (15 total). More info can be found here. | 4 | |
Nebulon | Nebulon shoots bullets out of his mouth equal to the number of times you have attacked him plus one. He can be hurt by hitting his eyes four times each. More info can be found here. | 5 | |
The Liekand | The Liekand shoots out bubbles, then jumps across the screen. Except for the first time, every time he shoots the bubbles, he'll also try to suck you in. Every third time he jumps across the screen, he'll stop in the center of the screen and cause lightning bolts to fall. His sunglasses are his weak spot. To beat him you must shoot him 14 times. More info can be found here. | 6 | |
An Ice Machine | An Ice Machine shoots ice cubes at you while shooting water jets at the platform in front of it. After shooting a few ice cubes (he will shoot 3 cubes if he is on full health or has 6 or 4 hits left; 4 cubes if he has 5, 3 or 1 hits left; and 2 cubes if he has 2 hits left), he will remove the jets and shoot ice into the air, resulting in icicles falling from the sky. Shoot him in the eyes as he's preparing the icicles. 7 hits will a splode him for good. More info can be found here. | 7 | |
Ekersby | Ekersby walks around while its Uptants and Downtants shoot bullets, it has 2 Sporks on top of its head, and you have to hit its fridge for a stomach when it opens. After hitting it it opens on a different side. You cannot kill the Downtants and Uptants. He takes 6 shots to kill. More info can be found here. | -0 |
