Talk:Stylized Character Designs

From Homestar Runner Wiki

If this page is going to stay (and I'm tempted to mark it for deletion), it really needs a better name than "Designs That Aren't Counted." Any suggestions? Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 21:05, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I was also tempted to mark this article for deletion. If we ultimately decide to keep this article, I would suggest an improved name: "Character Evolution Irregularities" —THE PAPER PREEEOW 21:13, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
I was thinking something like 'Alternate Designs'... I'm not much for naming, though.
Experimental Designs, perhaps? I know that's what they were called on the character evolution talk page for a while... small_logo.pngUsername-talk 21:18, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
How about Irregular Character Designs? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:01, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I like that these designs are all grouped somewhere, so I think the page content has merit. The name has got to go, of course, and unfortunately my naming abilities are on break right now. — It's dot com 21:21, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, guys. I'm not that good at making up names for stuff. Anyway, I like "Character Evolution Irregularities". Poopsmith Z

"Stylized"?! The Super NES one doesn't look.. hmm.. "stylish" to me. More like "ugly", but that is not a good headline. Still thinks that Irregular Character Designs is better Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:33, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

"Stylized Character Designs" is much much better than the previous "Designs That Aren't Counted." -- Tom 16:43, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)
It is better. But is it the best? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 23:45, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

"Stylized" doesnt mean "Stylish" as in "pretty" it means "using artistic forms and conventions to create effects [1] ." - Dr Haggis - Talk 23:58, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Oh. Ok, now I get it. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:31, 17 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I like this page, but Dancin' Bubs Strong Bad kinda feels out of place... --TROGGA! 15:21, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I agree. —FireBird|Talk 17:01, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)

How was that Dancin Bubs SB picture taken anydangway? The KOT covers up most of Strong Bad. --—Darklinkskywalker|Talk_|i did this stuff_ 03:28, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Probably using a Flash decompiler. It allows you to isolate and remove certain elements. — It's dot com 03:36, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Do the drawings on the stinko manual count?--minibaseball.png Bkmlb(talk to me·stuff I did) 21:54, 18 Sep 2005 (UTC)

I'd think the ones of Stinkoman and 1-Up might. Maybe. They do look a bit unusual. --DorianGray

[edit] Other drawings

There are alot of drawings of charactes floting around the site. Strong Bad's head of his Screensaver, his caricature from vacation and maybe more. Are those count? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:16, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Exaggerations

Should we have the character designs from Exaggerations in here? It seems appropriate enough.

Makes sence. Dr. Savage

[edit] Alternate Reddest Radish Angles

The Reddest Radish#DVD Version claims there are at least 3 versions. Does anyone have pictures? Bad Bad Guy 15:32, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Ooh. Didn't someone find unused Reddest Radish designs by decompiling some more-recent toon? I could swear that happened, but can't find it right now... --DorianGray 17:25, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sbemail 169 Deleted Scene

So, how about the storyboards for the Sbemail 169 Deleted Scene in which Coach Z has a nose, mouth, etc.? AwkwardFire 22:12, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I think that could count very well. --DorianGray 22:14, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] FAQ Cover

I don't think the cover of the site's FAQ should be included; the picture on the cover wasn't actually made by TBC, but was a piece of fan art they decided to use. Thus, it shouldn't count as a stylized design because it's someone else's interpretations of the characters and not the Chaps' work at all. I just wanted to see if anyone has a reason it should be kept on there before I delete it. Lucentas 03:17, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
