Well "Cheatsa Pizza" could be a reference to ''Mario Party 3'''s "Eatsa Pizza" mini game. I know that the Chapman brothers are Nintendo fans, just throught I'd throw that in there for debate. I didn't know where to put it. :P --[[User:MrsCommanderson|MrsCommanderson]] 20:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

==Weightlifting reference==
 +
 +
"The Pizz" was the nickname of Olympic weightlifter Anatoly Pisarenko. While it could be a coincidence, the evidence leads me to believe it's intentional:
 +
 +
* The Brothers Chaps' many references to sports (and that one of their earliest cartoons was about a strength competition)
 +
* In the email "strong badathlon," one of the events references the Clean and Jerk, one of the events in weightlifting
 +
* Homestar introduced himself as "everyone's favorite knock-kneed weightlifter" in Hremail 62
 +
 +
Pretty sure it's intentional. For reference: http://70sbig.com/hall-of-fame/anatoly-pisarenko/ {{unsigned|146.115.46.62|16:20, 24 May 2013 (UTC)}}
 +
:That evidence is about a sport, not about a competitor in said sport. Additionally, this email isn't about weightlifting; it's about selling pizza. It's far too much of a stretch to say it's a reference to that weightlifter. {{User:The Knights Who Say Ni/sig}} 17:38, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Dancing homestar

Ok, the easter egg looks like nothing more than to plug the broken animation from the end of mile. It's pretty much exactly the same animation. Thoughts? Dr. Clash 01:27, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget Cheatsa Parties. There were also those in mile. 01:38, 25 September 2007 (UTC)DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra
Wow, looking at that animation, I have to say that they're probably the same. Here's my theory: TBC were going to make the Cheatsa Party/Pizza Party Easter egg for mile, but didn't end up having time to do it. Notice that there are two separate links that lead to the same image of The Cheat eating the pizza, whereas it would make sense for one to link to the Pizza Party Easter egg.
My theory is speculation, but I think it's very reasonable to say that the two instances are connected. Trey56 01:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Maybe it's just me, but looking at the afformentioned broken animation, the movements seem to match up perfectly to the Pizza Party song Homestar sings, adding even more plausibility to your theory. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 03:19, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Why is no one mentioning strong badathlon??? --Addict 2006 13:54, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

That's true, they did use use that animation during the Greco-Roman Homestar Crud-Out-of-Beating scene — I think it's just an unrelated reuse of the animation, though. Trey56 14:31, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Well "Cheatsa Pizza" could be a reference to Mario Party 3's "Eatsa Pizza" mini game. I know that the Chapman brothers are Nintendo fans, just throught I'd throw that in there for debate. I didn't know where to put it. :P --MrsCommanderson 20:44, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pizza and Grill

I vote Decline. But on what?

Someone will eventually claim that since a large number of people can fit into the KOT's grill and have a pizza joint party there, that it must come from a Warner Brothers cartoon in which Daffy or someone opens a fridge or oven and there's stock film of a party going on inside it; or that it comes from something similar held in Snoopy's doghouse.

On that. ¡ɯooz + 01:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I assumed that it was definitely a reference to Looney-Tunes gags "> where there's a party in the oven. Why wouldn't it be? -chad [don't even know how to do this sorry if I screw something up]

Wait, maybe it's just Hammerspace -Flashfight

Calling it hammerspace would make sense, but it's the same thing in 2 years when Strong Sad is in the grill (I'm pretty sure he wouldn't fit naturally), and I don't think the hammerspace theory would work there because we don't see him enter or exit it. So I don't know. The ref to Snoopy's dog house kinda makes sense; Snoopy and The Cheat actually have quite a bit in common now that I think about it. --.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 07:10, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
It's not exactly traditional hammerspace. It's a tesseract (it's bigger on the inside than the outside). --DorianGray 01:54, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
That's not a tesseract. A tesseract is a 4-D equivalent of a cube. Maybe you mean a TARDIS. ¡ɯooz + 08:21, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Definately not TARDIS, that means Time And Relative Dimensions in Space, certainly not The Cheat's Grill.--~ SlipStream 09:50, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Floppy Disk Container is not an inside reference...

The name on the container is actually from the a game for PC and PS1 made in 1995 here's the wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D_(video_game) -CujoSR First Post but long time lurker...

The floppy disk container has -'d written on it, as a reference to Teen Girl Squad. That is the inside reference I'm talking about. 141.133.145.118 02:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, is there a new background in this email? Because I don't remember seeing "trees" like that before. -141.133.145.118 02:46, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I think you're right — I only remember seeing the ellipsoidal trees, which were used as recently as the last sbemail. I bet this is the new trees' debut! Trey56 02:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] virtualpizz.biz

Looks like virtualpizz.biz has become official. The login page now redirects you to this SB e-mail. The domain is registered to some dude from Austin, Texas, so I'm guessing the Brothers Chaps aren't behind this, unless they recruited a partner! --BigScaryMike (Talk/Contrib) 03:14, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it's a fan — this is the original message he had in the Easter egg. He sure registered that domain name and got the site up fast! Trey56 03:16, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] One "Pizz Point" for a Cow Lamp?

When Strong Bad adds the Cow Lamp to his Virtualpizz.biz room, only one "point" is deducted from his total. In garage sale, Homestar says "You wouldn't get much for that thing anyways. It's not even a real cow." Do you think the cheap price is a reference?

Also, this is the first time I have done anything here, so I'm new to this. — Nameless2000 (Talk | contribs) 04:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Makes sense to me -Jdhannan 15:13, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Hm...I think that's kinda far fetch'd for something like this...--Zerlock1124 13:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I don't see this far fetched at all. All the other stuff costs a lot, and then there's a cowlamp for 1 point. If it's not a reference to that garage sale quote, there's still definitely something behind this, and should somehow be at least noted in some clause somewhere. --Sysrq868 15:22, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
How could you possibly think that that is far fetched? TBC/h*r are well known to add little references like that in all their toons/emails...some many years apart. I think it is EXACTLY what they meant to do. Well done on spotting that! 71.75.58.31 00:48, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
You know, I have to agree here. It's been stated before that the cow lamp is cheap. And if an offhanded mention of "real fruit smoothies" in alternate universe can refer to a likewise offhanded mention in mascot, then I fail to see why this is such a stretch. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 05:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Indiana Jones reference?

"I belong in a museum!" seems to be a reference to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, when he tells the villain who stole the Cross of Coronado "it belongs in a museum!" (Twice, actually.)--Tenka Muteki 05:46, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I think it's a coincidence, personally. I love The Ugly One's line there, though! Trey56 06:01, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Okay, it's looking like the consensus so far is that it's not a reference, so I removed it. Here's the fact as it was written. Trey56 13:18, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
The Ugly One's line, "I belong in a museum!" could be a reference to the opening sequence to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, in which Indiana is fighting a man on a ship for the Cross of Coronado and says, "It belongs in a museum!" The man replies, "So do you!"

Actually, Indy says it a lot, not only in the original 3 movies but in subsequent productions and games. He DOES visit egypt quite often. I immediately thought of indy when i saw this. I say it's a valid reference. — Defender1031*Talk 12:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

first flash site by brothers chaps anyone?

I'm pretty sure that would be homestarrunner.com, which was started in 2000. In fact the only other flash site they've done that I can think of is mellowmushroom.com (2001). What does this have to do with the sbemail? 74.136.201.5 12:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it should count as a location, since they weren't really there... it was just a simulation.

[edit] The delivery guy's flat

[edit] Fourth Wall?

I'm reasonably sure Strong Sad's blatant mention of "Strong Bad Email 179" is an example of a Fourth Wall Break. I saw it mentioned last night, then removed. By its definition, it qualifies as a break of the 4th wall. Thoughts? PlasticDiverGuy 15:52, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I removed it. Strong Bad knows that he has an email show, and he occasionally mentions the number of the episode (e.g., flashback, montage, etc.) So, I don't think that Strong Bad is recognizing that they are cartoons in his review, he's just commenting on the episode as it happens. I could be wrong, though — sometimes it's difficult to determine what is a Fourth Wall Break and what isn't... Trey56 15:57, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
I think it totally breaks the fourth wall, He points up to the address bar of the browser... that is a total break mister t 18:06, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't notice that he was pointing at the address bar — maybe you have a point, then. Trey56 18:16, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
The pointing at the address bar was what I noticed, and I'm the one who suggested it in the first place. That, and the URL appearing on the screen. Awexome 18:57, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Strong Sad makes that "pointing" gesture in all of the Review Revue reviews. 76.99.42.185 21:00, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
except in the last one, he actually "pokes" towards the address bar whereas his arm remains stationary during the others. 63.253.45.138 15:21, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
My contention is this: There is precedence that the characters in sbemails are actually doing a webcast show that is watched by people in web browsers. So when they acknowledge it, they are not breaking the boundary between their fictional universe and reality (aka the 4th wall). This isn't the case in the big toons, shorts, and TGS; so I would apply different criteria to them. (I'm aware that by my criteria, most — but not all — of the "breaks" listed for sbemails are erroneous). 74.136.215.40 23:35, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
I think this would make a pretty good STUFF at this point. I say this because the result could redefine what we consider a 4th wall break. I can see both sides of this argument and where they come from. If we define things like this as 4th wall breaks, it sets a loose precedent for what is often mentioned in the emails themselves. If we don't define this, then the 4th wall page will get somewhat leaner. I saw Strong Sad point too, but he does it in all 3 reviews so I don't see that as 4th wall breaking. Still looking for opinions I can put on the arguments of STUFF for this so please fire away. PlasticDiverGuy 05:11, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I voted to get rid of about half the fourth wall breaks listed on that page, so maybe I'm just an extremist, but if he's talking to the camera at all, as he does in all three reviews, he's talking to the audience. By the current standards we go by, that would make them all fourth wall breaks. But like the guy said a couple posts up, they don't break the boundary between fiction and reality, and neither do most of the breaks listed on the breaks page. I'll admit, pointing to the address bar is interesting, but it still isn't a fourth wall break. If they know they're being watched on the internet, then pointing up to where the address bar is supposed to be is just natural.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 07:42, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

"The Max" could be a reference to Saved by the Bell or to the TV show/comic book "The Maxx" (which has showed up on h*r before)

[edit] Two straight college ho-ties?

After SB specifically denounced the lack of college style ladies, we get two straight sbemails composed by college style ladies with college style questions...Inside Reference yet? -Flashfight

It could be a continuing theme that might result in something (like DNA Evidence did), but until it happens/doesn't, we have no way of knowing. ¡ɯooz + 01:17, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I like your thinking. However, the Bike Theif email was annoyomus, so we can't conclude that the sender was female. Scholar of Homestar

Problem with that is I know the first one is female (she's tachyon42 on deviantART). ¡ɯooz + 01:17, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
"Annoyomous"? Her name was Virginia. Someone suggested that Virginia was a town name but according to google and mapquest there's no such place as Virginia, MI. It's her name.

[edit] Abbreviated Ingredients

Is there an appropriate section for adding probable identities for the abbreviated ingredients that Homestar rattles off? I'd propose:

  • p-roni - pepperoni
  • t-sauce - tartar sauce (or maybe teriyaki sauce)
  • m-rooms - mushrooms
  • p-loaf - pimento loaf (though this could be pepperoni loaf)
  • m-cheese - mozzarella cheese (or macaroni and cheese perhaps?)

Also, is there an Inside Reference here? Hasn't this form of abbreviation been featured rather prominently somewhere else? -ReverendTed 01:57, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Tartar sauce pizza... hmm... I think I need to go vomit right now. Tomato sauce maybe? 74.136.215.40 02:37, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't think he's saying "t-sauce", I think it's "p-sauce" as in Pizza Sauce mister t 15:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Regarding the Inside Reference... While I wouldn't call it specifically a reference, Strong Bad once said they called "Piemonade" "p-nade" around the office. Can't remember offhand which toon it was in, though. That's probably what you're thinking of. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 23:38, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
It sounds like "t-sauce" to me. Danny Lilithborne 05:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Review Revue

The Review Revue looks like a parody of something. Could it be the Critic's Corner? Awexome 04:06, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I was thinking the same thing myself. Of what exactly escapes my mind. Are there any local Atlanta commercials or review shows we don't know about? PlasticDiverGuy 05:13, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 70th Email

I counted the email, and this is the 70th email of the Lappy 486 era. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 10:45, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Actually, it's the 60th. Homestar-Winner (talk) 11:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zoombinis

I had to remove this reference, but i didn't want it to get lost, because it is interesting, and brings back memories.

*The Pizza Trolls were antagonists characters in the "Pizza Pass" puzzle in The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis game made by Brøderbund Software.

and just so that no one looks at this and wonders why i removed it, it's because it's very much a stretch, the pizza trolls in that game were tree stumps who wanted you to make them pizza, not evil slices of pizza. — Defender1031*Talk 13:16, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I used to love that game, and stll like it a lot, but I agree. Strong Bad probably called them pizza trolls off the internet slang word troll, not as a Zoombinis reference. If it was a Zoombinis reference, there would probably a hammy narrator or some blue things involved in the joke. Shwoo 13:24, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
"Fleens? You're not Fleens. Well, whatever you are... MAKE ME A PIZZA!" — Defender1031*Talk 13:26, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
"There's stuff on that I don't like!!" Which is my way of saying that I agree with you both on both points: that it's a great game, and that Strong Bad is probably not referencing it (unfortunately). Heimstern Läufer 16:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
"Some of that stuff must go!" You're right, it is a bit far fetched an idea. That was just the first thing that came to mind when Strong Bad delivered that line. --Scholar of Homestar 22:32, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Homestar Hair

well, when homestar is wearing his "the pizz" uniform, you see hair under his cap. is this the first time we actually see homestar with hair? and what does this go under, remarks? Zatchman 15:05, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

No, I think Homestar has been seen with hair some times, especially when dressing up as someone else. Some halloween costumes of him have had hair. And if not anything else, then at least Hairstyle Runners. --Sysrq868 17:46, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
I can't think of a time outside of Halloween that Homestar has had hair. Yes, a black outline of him for drawing hair on has had hair... thats hardly relevant tho -Jdhannan 19:06, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The "piz"?

If the original word is pronounced (peet-sa) shouldnt the restaurant have been pronounced as the "peets"?

Not, because it's not written "The Pizz-", but rather "The Pizz" as pizz as a seperate word. If you ignore that pizz derivates from "pizza", you'd also pronounce pizz as "piz". Also, TBC is widely known for their obscure pronunciation jokes. --Sysrq868 17:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Craaaaappy Reference

Just FYI, I deleted one of the inside references ("Strong Bad spends his virtual "Pizz Points" on the Trogdor stand-up arcade cabinet from Arcade Game, the couch and wall paint from Strong Bad's basement, and Homestar's cow lamp.") because it's so blindingly obvious. Visorbot 386 21:35, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Thats hardly that obvious. I didn't recognize immediately where the wall paint was from, and it did go by pretty quickly. I vote for reinstatement -Jdhannan 16:29, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I also vote for reinstatement. Yes it is a bit on the obvious side if you've religiously watched every single e-mail but casual viewers might be interested to know. If we're going to exclude things that are obvious, why even have character pages? We all know everything about them anyway. Some kind of scientist 20:50, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
This fact should not be included, not because it's too obvious, but because this information is already in the transcript. Heimstern Läufer 21:11, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Didn't notice that. Nevermind, keep it gone. Some kind of scientist 01:38, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
I dunno. I only noticed the arcade game. Everything else went by too fast, and I think my eyes kind of blended the cabinet and cow lamp, so I thought it was some random thing. That is, until I saw that part on the subject on the page. SuperfieldCreditUnion

[edit] Strong Badia?

Seems like nobody learned from that time he explained to us the difference between Strong Badia and other locations in Free Country USA. This is like the fourth question now where they ask "is there any ___ in strong badia?" when strong badia is his freakin' backyard!

True, but obviously Strong Bad was willing to overlook this in his excitement over an actual female writing to him. Furthermore, he did open his shop in Strongbadia to comply. --BigScaryMike (Talk/Contrib) 01:34, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
It's speculation to say that Daphne was talking about Free Country USA, not SBdia. Remember, although it's just a small field, Strong Bad treats SBdia as a sovereign nation, which is to say a place that we would expect to contain pizza places, its own army (though, as SB points out, it needs none), its' [sic] own local news, etc. Heimstern Läufer 03:05, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Rabbit Every Monday"

I added the remark about this old Bugs Bunny classic cartoon because the situations are practically identical: a party inside the KOT's grill and a party inside Yosemite Sam's oven. It struck me as too similar for there not to be some mention of it. -- Didymus 20X6.

I thought it was more what Snoopy did with his doghouse. Awexome 17:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Doghouse != Grill, Oven == Grill. Programming code == Really cool! — Defender1031*Talk 17:50, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Doghouse, oven and grill are all dimensionally transcendental. The doghouse may have never cooked anything, but it DID catch fire once. Also, nobody sleeps in Yosemite Sam's oven. But as mentioned above, I still don't think it's necessarily a reference to either thing. ¡ɯooz + 17:59, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I think this is a clear case of TTATOT. Cartoons from all eras are full of similar cases. If you could find some proof that "Rabbit Every Monday" was absolutely the first one, then you might have a case (like the PG Wodehouse 'Jeeves' thing in Drive Thru). I'm pretty sure it's not though, so I say get rid of it.Some kind of scientist 20:46, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure it is a TTATOT. I don't think Snoopy's doghouse applies, since it's not a cooking device. But Sam's oven would certainly seem to. I am a long-time fan of old WB toons, as well as Tex Avery and Walter Lantz, and "Rabbit Every Monday" is the only toon from that era (c. 1951) that I remember ever having something like this. Unless someone can cite an earlier toon with the same gag.
And furthermore, the IMDB article seems to indicate that it was a rather unique gag.

I still don't see why this was classified as a TTATOT. Rabbit Every Monday has clear parallels to the ending of this toon, whereas the only other example (Snoopy's dog house) bears hardly a passing resemblance. If you were to actually watch the end of Rabbit Every Monday, you'd see exactly what I'm talking about. Bottom line: REM - very close resemblance. Snoopy's dog house - hardly any. My verdict: TTATOT = VERY NO.

It's very clear that TBC reuse what are considered traditional cartoon gags, I think that in itself may be a running gag, but I'd doubt that any specific one is a reference to any other specific one. — Flashfight 17:48, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] TGS characters

Can we say with certainty that it is indeed Cheerleader, So-and-So, and the Ugly One in the TGS segment? I thought that, like Daphne, they were supposed to be random college girls, as opposed to the main TGS cast who are typically shown as high schoolers. I also thought that What's Her Face being there was kinda playing along with it being occasionally suggested that What's Her Face is a year or two older than the rest.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 06:55, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Well, the girl on the far right is definitely The Ugly One... Has Matt? (talk) 11:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh right, because of the glasses. Well then I guess makes it a lot more likely for the other two to be So-and-So and Cheerleader. So then I guess nevermind.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 06:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] www.virtualpizz.biz

How do you register in virtualpizz? All I see was the logo, and a box that says "LOGIN". I click login and it plays the pizza joint email. Is there a way to join that site?

Eh... Of coarse not. King of wikis 04:00, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I'm Dazed and Confused here

  • The Emporium is a reference to the movie Dazed and Confused.

I'm not a big fan of these mysterious "references"... I removed it once, but it was re-added; having never seen the movie, I can only assume it's true, but I think facts like this one should be rewritten/expanded to explain just *how* it's a reference to whatever. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 04:15, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah. Emporium is an actual word with an actual meaning (which, by the way, was used a few emails back in mini-golf as well). Regardless of what may be in some random movie about emporiums, a simple use of the word is not a refrence.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 01:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
The plural of emporium is "emporia", btw. ¡ɯooz + 00:17, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Without an explanation, it should stay gone. Danny Lilithborne 08:27, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Registration

I think the brothers chap should have a registration area because virtualpiz looks fun and I was wondering if they could add a registration area. Roxy2k7 13:24, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fan site

Should we really include the fan site in the article? It's not TBC's work. — Defender1031*Talk 18:31, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Sure, why not. It doesn't claim to be TBC's work. It's unique, original, and interesting. -132.183.151.130 18:58, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Note: I do agree that we have no reason to document references *made* by the fansite, so I support your removal of the DriveThru thing -132.183.151.130 19:00, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
We tend not to document things not created or endorsed by TBC (as weekly fanstuff is only endorsed by them). This, on the other hand, seems to be in no way connected to TBC aside from being based on their work. It seems like a Website Sighting to me. (I'm playing a bit of devil's advocate by the way, since i also think it might be interesting enough to ignore that specific guideline in this case, just want to know what everyone else has to say about it. — Defender1031*Talk 19:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I know, I completely understand the reasoning. It's not the only exception to the rules, though. For example, we've made note of instances when we know the identity of the sender of an email. -132.183.151.130 19:35, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
{edit conflict} It should be pointed out that other fansites (such as the-coolest-stuff-ever.com, usshomestarrunner.com, imabigmoronwhocantrememberhislines.com, and, most notably, homestarrunner.net) are mentioned on the articles for credit card and First Time Here?. Of course, credit card was later updated by TBC to incorporate the additional prices given on the fansite, so that particular mention is easily justified, but does this mean we would have to remove the rest of these links if we remove virtualpizz.biz? – The Chort 19:38, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Hygiene and an Actual Online Thingy

Do you think that The Ugly One dressing up as an Egyptian sarcophagus was a reference to SB's comment about "ancient Egyptian teenagers" at the end of hygiene? Also, the interface of VirtualPizz.Biz reminds me of an actual online gaming site that I forget what it's called..."(something)baby" or such...Does anyone knoe about this site and/or what it's called? --Alex H.

[edit] Thee and thuh

About this fact: Yes, I definitely consider that rule entirely valid (generally followed subconsciously rather than consciously, but still a rule, as "thuh" before a vowel just sounds non-standard), but I'm not convinced this is a significant enough point to merit a fun fact. It seems kind of nitpicky to the point of triviality to me. Heimstern Läufer 05:35, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Weightlifting reference

"The Pizz" was the nickname of Olympic weightlifter Anatoly Pisarenko. While it could be a coincidence, the evidence leads me to believe it's intentional:

  • The Brothers Chaps' many references to sports (and that one of their earliest cartoons was about a strength competition)
  • In the email "strong badathlon," one of the events references the Clean and Jerk, one of the events in weightlifting
  • Homestar introduced himself as "everyone's favorite knock-kneed weightlifter" in Hremail 62

Pretty sure it's intentional. For reference: http://70sbig.com/hall-of-fame/anatoly-pisarenko/ — 146.115.46.62 (Talk | contribs) 16:20, 24 May 2013 (UTC) (left unsigned)

That evidence is about a sport, not about a competitor in said sport. Additionally, this email isn't about weightlifting; it's about selling pizza. It's far too much of a stretch to say it's a reference to that weightlifter. The Knights Who Say Ni 17:38, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Agree with knights. It's clearly just because SB cut the cheat off in the middle of writing the word "Pizza". — Defender1031*Talk 21:43, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
