The term "Race 'em up" is based on the more logically named term "Shoot 'em up".
The game consists of two modes: 1 Player and Online Play.
The player can race Kid Speedy on eight different courses: Jelly Woods Fun Run, Cheese Puff Hills, Porkchop Wilds SK, Egg Mountain Minithon, Probate Flats Walk-a-thon, Indiana, The Loop, and Demon's Rub Marathon. The goal of each race is to avoid coming in dead last.
