Where are all the pictures of fireworks? hallowishes(shoom).jpg

See HRWiki:About. And, we don't have pictures of fireworks because they are irrelevant to the wiki's purpose. Happy wiki-ing! Bluebry 16:13, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Why?

It was taking up too much space. Bluebry 00:20, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

I think someone is creating sockpuppets. Look at the recent changes.--H*bad 22:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Songs

I noticed you used the "originals" Email portion of the Songs page for your list, but did you want to include the "partly by" and the "not by" songs as well? (Someone added "different town" which isn't entirely by TBC, which is why it wasn't listed with the others.) Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:19, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Also, I don't care if you add new songs. See teh new rule. Bluebry 00:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Leaving factor

A quote from JoeyDay:

:::To all those who are talking about leaving, I'm deeply saddened that you would jump ship without really giving this a chance. I don't know how many of you were around when we first switched away from 'Tavi to MediaWiki, but it wasn't exactly a walk in the park then, either. Everybody had to log in about five times before they could edit pages, and we were listed on Google as "Uncle Hamstring's Barn Yard Animals" for about three months until Google's algorithm caught up with our new format. I promise if you'll all be patient, we'll have this new system looking like the old layout in no time at all. I think we could have everything back to normal by, say, September at the latest. In the meantime, it would be really helpful if everyone could stay calm. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 20:00, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm sure this will either bring you back, or make you guilty about being so defiant. Either way, I win, and either way, you lose. — Seriously (Talk) 20:21, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it was a secret plan to hopefully make some users so guilty that they admit it's a prank. But, it is 'Tavi. The MediaWiki namespace is my favorite feature. Gee, imagine a namespace about a group of what you might call competitors! Bluebry 20:39, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Email

Hi, Bluebry. Do you check your email? —FireBird|Talk 21:07, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

I retract whatever I said. Ima change email adresses after this. (No, I haven't seen your email). Bluebry 21:09, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Okay, after seeing your email, I believe you now. I mean, that's a much better description of what I've seen here so far. Thanks! Bluebry 21:24, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

So?!

I cannot believe you would run away like that just because you wanted to make people feel guilty. It was just a joke, anyway. But still, why give up like that? — Seriously (Talk) 13:37, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

It's more than that. 1) I was watching Recent Changes the entire time. 2) It was a plan to make the people who did the prank admit it was a prank. When they didn't, I got worried. I wondered if they were right. Then I recieved FireBird's email. That would be the end of that story. Bluebry 13:40, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Ah. So FireBird emailed you saying that it was all just a joke, but that you shouldn't ruin it for everybody else? I see. Y'know, for everyone who thought it was a prank, I'mm surprised. It was easy to see through, but I trusted every excuse the sysops said. It was amazing how much I was fooled. But it'd have been so much better if people didn't tell everyone it was a prank. That's ruining the entire thing. I myself was not entirely fooled. After all, YK spilled all the secrets on IRC. — Seriously (Talk) 13:43, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree with that, actually. It's kinda like one of those mob-psychology things. When one person does it in a large group, the others start. If other users hadn't pointed out things, I would have been fooled too. But, yeah, I would've liked it better if we both never knew... Bluebry 13:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm glad, though, that for the most part I was completely fooled. After all, YK was on IRC telling me the whole thing about 5 minutes before twelve. There's not much that I missed, and I was completely fooled all day. — Seriously (Talk) 13:53, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
No offence to anyone who did it, but, it did cause some damage. Now I gotta find all of my monobook skins that I created to make the site look like MediaWiki. Bluebry 13:57, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Still use Mozilla Suite?

SeaMonkey is out at 1.0. I highly recommend the upgrade. But then, I upgraded initially to 1.0Alpha, and it was so buggy I couldn't even uninstall it properly and had to delete ut manually. The release version is a lot more stable. Geez, I sound like one of those hardcore Firefox evangelists. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:19, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

Hey now brotha, I said you brotha, you in your sin, hallelujah, what do you got—I said what do you got against "hardcore Firefox evangelists"? (Can I get a witness this blessed morning?) Now you know the day of judgement is coming, brothas an' sistas, I said the day of judgement, glorytoGod, the day of FIRE! and of WRATH! upon all the users of the Infernal Evil versions 5.0 and higha! And it is written, beloved I say it is written in the Good Book, that on that day they shall caalll upon their OS-integrated iniquities and—praise God's blessed name this morning—their OS shall not answer them! It is written, children, that on that day they shall cryyy to their source to open to them! and they shall fall on their faces before their developers, but brothas and sistas I'm here to tell you this morning that their prayers shall not avail!! I said their tears and their cries shall be of no use, beloved! because they did not know their developers! They didn't know their names! Come on an' let me hear an amen! And beloved it is in that day—I said it is in that day, brothasandsistas, that the children of FireFox will inherit the earth!! Because it will be the DAY!!! I said a day of judgement, halleluja! A day of FIRE, halleluja! And O beloved, a day, a day of FOX!!! And that day is coming Isaiditis coming soon!! Brothasandsistas, I stand before you this fine morning and I testify—Isaid I testify! (comeon!)—by the Fire o' the Fox—that on that day WE WILL NOT SLUMBER halleluja! WE WILL NOT FALTER halleluha! Anbrothasansistas WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN because it is WRITTEN—Lord, lord—I said it is WRITTEN brothasansistas that the GATES of hell will not PREVAIL against those whom the Fox has chosen!!!! Now can I get an amen this mornin'? {drowned out in cheering}AbdiViklas 22:04, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

...speak the truth? Bluebry 22:22, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I have nothing against Firefox specifically, it's just the shove it in your face, borderline trolling approach I've seen some of them use. You'd think this was religion they were talking about. But, let me add something to my first comment: I just upgraded to 1.0.1, and thanks to bug 324081, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I'm seriously considering downgrading back to 1.0. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 00:23, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, and Abdi? You don't have to preach to me I've been a Firefox user for a VERY long time. I use Mozilla for my IRC needs. And, yeah ACupOfCoffee, thank you for the warning. But, does it load any faster on slower computers? Because I know Firefox and Mozilla Suite load VERY slowly on mine. Bluebry 01:05, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
How slow are we talking? Firefox ran fine on my parents' old 128k Pentium 3 machine. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 01:20, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Well, instead of giving you specs ('bout 256mb RAM, 240mb Hard disk, Intel Celeron Prosessor, proboscis,), it loads in about 5 minutes. Bluebry 01:27, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
That should be plenty good. Wait — when my sister complais to me about IE loading too slowly, I figured out she really means that pages load too slowly (but that's because my folks still have dial-up). Is that it? If not, maybe your disk needs to be defragged? (dfrg.msc in Win 2K and XP, defrag in 98, ME) Using an old version? The current Firefox is 1.5.0.2. — User:ACupOfCoffee@
Yeah, so I tried Seamonkey, and I find that Mozilla suite lodes significally faster. BTW, it's 10 to 20 mins to load Firefox, not 5. Bluebry 19:59, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

1984 Thing

I'm sorry about that. I accidentally made that page while trying to make a wiki link to my contribution to the "disconnected" page (which also turned out to be unneccesary). I still can't quite get the hang of wiki (it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to respond to your message. I Think this is right. If not I am dumber than I thought) Sorry again.

About That...

I appreciate the fact that you're giving me all this advice, and I certainly couldn't have done any of this without some of your help. But...my computer will only save it as a .jpg and it won't let me change from .jpg to .png on the file upload screen. Eventually I'll get it, though.

Math

  1. 4
  2. 15
  3. 144
  4. 2a +2b
  5. 8:00
t2 = train 2
t3 = time
83.4 mph = 17.55% (t2)
t2= 83.4(.1755) = 475.21367 ~ 475.2 mph
18 mentils * (13.4 miles/mentil) = 241.2 miles
241.2 miles = 475.2 mph(t3)
t3 = 241.2/475.2 = .05 hours = 30 minutes

time 7:30 + 30mins = 8:00

I R F 23:49, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

17.55% * rate = 83.4
rate = 83.4 / .1755 = 475.2 miles per hour.
(1mentil = 6.7miles)
Distance = 18 * 6.7 = 120.6 miles away.
120.6 = 475.2 * time
time = 120.6 / 475.2 = .25 in hours
.25hours = 15minutes
7:30 + :15 = 7:45

Bryanc! Wow! I just wanted to stump people, but you, you got it!
Sorry IRF. Your math was right, but, I think you made a mistake. And I think I've found it. 1: every 2 mentils equals a mile. You put 1 mentil equals a mile. Oh! Fun Fact: Mentils were originally called mints, but I changed their name!
So... Bryanc wins nothing! Yay! Yay! Cheers! Good job! Yay!
...Okay, I'll at least mention you + your work on my pagey thingy. Bluebry 01:09, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Here's a good stumper: A mother is 21 years older than her son. In 6 years, she will be 5 times older than him.
Where is the father? BryanCTC 01:22, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
...Grocery shopping? Bluebry 01:23, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I sure hope not... BryanCTC 01:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
...Because of the monsters in the dairy section? Bluebry 01:32, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, since the mother is 21 years older than the son... am = as + 21

6 years from now 5as = am

therefore

5as = as + 21      →       4as = 21    →     a_s = \frac{21}{4} = 5 \frac{1}{4}

since in 6 years the son will be 5 \frac{1}{4} years\ old, right now he is \frac{-3}{4} years\ old = -9 months\ old.

So if the son is -9 months\ old the father is um....really really close to the mother, overlapping even...and definitely not grocery shopping. I R F 05:18, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
