sorry, im new here. now that i think about it, where did i curse? i don't remember. mighta been my cousin. maybe i should change my password.

You changed It's dot com's name on Talk:Random singing. I know some don't find this cursing, but anything along the lines of that we don't allow. Oh, and welcome to the wiki! —FireBird|Talk 22:36, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Deleted pages

Whoa, deleting all of Pertmywert's pages has caused massive trauma to his userpage. Can you undelete them, replace the templates on his page using the subst command, and then redelete them? — It's dot com 23:10, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I see that now. I'll probably just go see what his last entry in the history before he templated his userpage and copy that revison. See what happens when you go subpage crazy? FireBird|Talk 23:13, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
No, that's not going to work. I'll just have to go undelete them and delete thim again. Sheez. —FireBird|Talk 23:16, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that extra step. I'd hate for someone to open their userpage only to find it gutted. At least he can keep the content. — It's dot com 23:26, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Thank you for the extra fix-ups to his userpage. —FireBird|Talk 23:28, 15 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The Lord of the Rings wiki

Why are there hardly any posts at the Lord of the Rings wiki? Do you know? Also, did you begin that wiki or are you just an Adminstrator there? --GandalfTheBlack

Yeah, I created that wiki. I really left it to die, but it seemed some fans kept it up. I've actually haven't done to much at all. All the articles you see on the Main Page weren't created by me, but by other users who have stuck around. —FireBird|Talk 19:53, 16 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] In regards to the comment on the Homsar talk page

"I know you thought of some big words and obviously spent some time on this, but really- it's just a cartoon. Not everything needs an explanation."-you

Wow. I thought I'd seen the last of this when I exited elementary. Apparently, I was wrong... I must say, Firebird, I'm thoroughly insulted by the manner in which you comment on those who, just like you, speak using the words which come to them. I'd ask that you show a little more kindness in addressing such persons, not speaking to them like they've randomly chosen words whose meanings they don't know for the sake of enhancing the image of their intellect. I, personally, did not feel pleasant when my choice of wording was ridiculed, and I doubt you would, either. You don't like his hypothesis? Criticize it, then, but no one (well, maybe some, but certainly not me) takes you seriously when you get insulting.

If it was not intended as such, my apologies for misunderstanding it-it has been my experience that those commenting on the wordiness of others are very rarely doing anything other than insulting them. Thanks, Suicune64 21:26, 21 Jul 2005 (UTC)

You are absolutely right. I was a jerk. Know that I've taken this to mind and I'll try to be nicer next time. Thanks for the note, Sui. —FireBird|Talk 03:16, 22 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Know this, though: you've mostly redeemed yourself with the polite acceptance of my criticism. I know that most would say "OMG get off my case idiot n00b", and the fact that you've actually regarded what I've said is something I appreciate. Thank you. Suicune64 01:57, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] wow!

How did you find out about the notice?

If you're refering to the note on Rouge Leader's talk page, I was just patrolling Recent Changes. —FireBird|Talk 03:18, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] He's Thechamp

Hey man, I put your link on my page. Change it if you don't like the way it's linked. Everything is up for discussion on my page, go ahead and talk all you want and encourage others to do so also. Thechamp 02:58, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Okay. —FireBird|Talk 14:05, 24 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Upload

I'm working on my user page and I don't know how to upload an image for it. Do you know how to do that? -Ampi

Upload file. Pretty simple to do, but if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. Oh, and make sure you follow the User Page guidelines. —FireBird|Talk 03:28, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] A little touchy, Firebird?

  • Hey, Firebird, I ain't been around for a while, so I didn't catch your little comment about my vote on Bubsotathon, where you yelled at me for use of the word "damn," until today. Don't you think you overreacted just a little? After all, the Bible uses the word, as well as the word hell, and need I remind you that one of the characters on the site this wiki is devoted to has a favorite word that many consider a curse? I'd think that you'd save something like that for something really serious, like saying a cuss that's of a slightly higher offensiveness plateau or trolling a page.--ISlayedTheKerrek 23:07, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)
I wrote "Cursing is not cool, ISlayedTheKerrek, especially when it's against the rules. Don't do it again.". I do not find this touchy at all, and I didn't "yell" at you.
The Bible uses the word "damn" and "hell" in a compelety different manner than you did. No cursing has been a wiki policy for as long as I can remember; over a year. "Crap" is a different story. Anyone who can't accept the word "crap" generally doesn't hang around a website that does. If Strong Bad used the word "damn", then the wiki would probably accept this; for, again, if someone can't accpet the word, they usually don't hang around with people who do.
I don't find curses slightly higher than the next, and neither does the wiki. The rules say "no cursing"; I was enforcing that rule.
Don't think I'm mad at you, or were mad at you. I was just telling you not to curse. If you found my comment touchy, then I apologize. —FireBird|Talk 23:21, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)
  • Apology accepted, and I didn't think you were mad- I just think that there are worse words that can be said than "damn." Either way, I forgive you. --ISlayedTheKerrek 02:49, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Cool. But it doesn't matter if there are worse words than "damn". No cursing is allowed. Period. —FireBird|Talk 16:10, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Darn! I said darn again! Heck! — It's dot com
