I'm a huge fan of homestarrunner.com, and found this website by accident. I'm glad I had that accident...wait, that doesn't sound right.

I also made a web page devoted to Coach Z, weird as that may seem. Here's the link.

I did make a third character page, centered around Strong Bad, but unfortunately it was taken down (I don't remember if I did it or the people at 8m did it). I'll relaunch it soon.

[edit] Halloween costume favorites...and not so favorites

Since a new Halloween tune for 2009 has been given to us, I am changing things up just a bit. Now, since there have been 10 toons (allegedly), I'm going to rank my three favorite costumes for each character and my three least favorite.

NOTE: You may not agree.

Homestar Runner
BEST
1. Angus Young (Pumpkin Carve-nival). Thought this was the best, but Homestar's had a few good ones over the years, so it was hard to pick one.
2. Teen Wolf (Happy Hallow-Day). Pretty damn funny, if I say so.
3. Yahoo Serious (Most in the Graveyard). The only two things that prevented it from being #1? Well, the two ahead of it.
WORST
1. Artie, the Strongest Man in the World (Jibblies 2). I'm still not convinced that wasn't a Waldo costume.
2. John McEnroe (3 Times Halloween Funjob). Just didn't look right.
3. Crispin Glover as Rubin Farr (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). I'm not a fan of obscurity. I'm really not.
Marzipan
BEST
1. Willie Nelson (Halloween Fairstival). Too funny.
2. Stevie Ray Vaughan (Most in the Graveyard). Bonus points for the subject.
3. Lola (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). Now who else could pull this one off?
WORST
1. The Log Lady (3 Times Halloween Funjob). Still don't like it after all this time.
2. Frida Kahlo (Happy Hallow-Day). Too creepy looking.
3. Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (Pumpkin Carve-nival). This is a case of "the rest were so good that I had to pick one that wasn't as good as the rest."
Strong Bad
BEST
1. Beetlejuice (Jibblies 2). His best costume yet.
2. Carmen Sandiego (The House that Gave Sucky Treats). A close second.
3. Father Guido Sarducci (Happy Hallow-day). The more I watch it, the more I like it.
WORST
1. Homestar as Angus Young (Pumpkin Carve-nival). Still almost ruins the toon for me every time.
2. Skull Kid (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). Too creepy, even for Strong Bad.
3. Carmen Miranda (Homestarloween Party). He did better as a girl the next year.
Strong Mad
BEST
1. Nikolai Volkoff (Jibblies 2). Need I say more?
2. Ben Wallace (Halloween Fairstival): The afro is what makes the costume.
3. Thwomp (Most in the Graveyard). Another one of those costumes that is just too fitting for Brother Graw Mad.
WORST
1. The Maxx (Happy Hallow-Day). Done better the year before, and done righter.
2. Slim Goodbody (Homestarloween Party). Didn't like it as much as I wanted to.
3. A ghost (Pumpkin Carve-nival). There was nothing else?


Strong Sad
BEST
1. Tony Clifton (Happy Hallow-Day). I still say that if you're gonna do this, there is no one better to do it on.
2. David Byrne (3 Times Halloween Funjob). 'Nuff said.
3. Devo member (Halloween Potion-ma-jig). Even if he kinda looked like a fire hydrant it was still funny.
WORST
1. Vyvyan (Pumpkin Carve-nival). Obscurity nets you nothing.
2. Mikhail Gorbachev (Homestarloween Party). Why?
3. Andy Warhol (The House that Gave Sucky Treats. Ran out of ones I didn't like so I went with the one that I just didn't like as much.
The Cheat
BEST
1. Toad (Halloween Potion-ma-jig). Still the best for The Cheat.
2. Gizmo (Happy Hallow-Day). I like it more every time.
3. Punchy (The House that Gave Sucky Treats). Funny costume + Cheat head explosion = place on the list.
WORST
1. Garfield (Homestarloween Party). Still lame.
2. The Lorax (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). Now that I've gotten a look at what the Lorax is supposed to look like this costume makes more sense. However, I have to keep it here because they could have made a better effort to turn Teh C. into the character and the walrus 'stache didn't do it.
3. Izzy (3 Times Halloween Funjob). I thought Izzy was creepy in 1996 and even more in costume form.
Coach Z
BEST
1. The So-So-Def Recordings Logo (Jibblies 2). I still laugh out loud at this costume.
2. Tupac (Halloween Fairstival). Still second and too uncanny. "Thorg Life" makes it even better.
3. Flavor Flav (Homestarloween Party). I'd love to see them do this again but with a more modern Flav, but hey, it's still awesome.
WORST
1. MC Skat Kat (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). An expressionless face does not help matters. This probably was better off for Bubs.
2. Humpty Hump (The House that Gave Sucky Treats). Bad wig plus uninspired costume.
3. Kid (Pumpkin Carve-nival). I've never liked this costume.
Bubs
BEST
1. Apollo Creed (Halloween Potion-ma-jig). Priceless then, priceless now.
2. Junkyard Dog (Most in the Graveyard). Oh, how tempted I was to make this #1. Not as good as Apollo Creed, though.
3. Jules Winnfield (Doomy Tales of the Macabre)). It took me a little bit to realize who he ways but when I thought about it, I said, "Ahh...I get it." And besides, who better than Bubs for that?
WORST
1. Clarence Clemons' character from Bill and Ted (Halloween Fairstival). Meh.
2. Ross from You Can't Do That On Television (Jibblies 2). Something about this doesn't seem right.
3. Coach McGuirk (Happy Hallow-day). It's TOO uncanny a likeness...and that's scary.
Pom Pom
BEST
1. Mario Batali (Happy Hallow-day). There is really only one who could pull this off.
2. Kamala (3 Times Halloween Funjob). Again, who else could pull this off besides Pom Pom?
3. Walter Sobchak (Halloween Potion-ma-jig). I'm glad I made this list, because I've always had a soft spot for this costume.
WORST
1. Scud (3 Times Halloween Funjob). Obscure again.
2. Pooka (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). I just don't like this costume for Pom Pom and I don't know why.
3. Big Boy (Halloween Fairstival). Still stressing that this is the one I liked the least.
The King of Town
BEST
1. Hello Kitty (Most in the Graveyard). I still crack up every time I see the KoT Kitty.
2. The Mayor of Halloweentown (Halloween Fairstival). Still a great costume, and a close second.
3. Hamburglar (3 Times Halloween Funjob). Who else could pull this off?
WORST
1. The Gorton's Fisherman (Happy Hallow-Day). I just don't like it.
2. Rev. Al Sharpton (Jibblies 2). Am I the only one who thinks the KoT didn't look like the Reverend Al?
3. Well...there really is no other. They always nail this one right.
The Poopsmith
BEST
1. Dr. Zoidberg (Most in the Graveyard). It was just too funny last year that I had to give it the no. 1 spot, and nothing yet has challenged it.
2. M. Bison (3 Times Halloween Funjob). What clinched it for me was the Psycho Crusher move.
3. Lion-O (Pumpkin Carve-nival). I would've liked if the Poopsmith broke his vow of silence for this one, but hey.
WORST
1. Lazer Tag (The House That Gave Sucky Treats). Again, Strong Bad said it best in the toon.
2. Darunia, the leader of the Gorons (Doomy Tales of the Macabre). Just didn't think it was a good costume.
3. Tron (Homestarloween Party). I wanna like it, I do. I just don't, though.
Homsar
BEST
1. Slash (3 Times Halloween Funjob). "slash" shirt + wig + cig + hat = priceless.
2. Ghost Dog (Pumpkin Carve-nival). Just so funny to see that.
3. Captain Caveman (Most in the Graveyard). I don't know whether or not they just pasted Homsar's feet on a Captain Caveman sprite, but whatever they did was great.
WORST
1. The Noony-Noo Typewriter Guy (Jibblies 2). Call me stupid, call me whatever. Just don't call me someone who likes this costume.
2. Kumar (Pumpkin Carve-nival). Still don't think it looks right.
3. Tingle (Halloween Potion-ma-jig). Oh, Tingle...
