While none of the main characters have any permanent tattoos; they are still frequently mentioned among the citizens.

- Yearbook Character Page — Strong Bad's page mentions that he once planned to get matching tattoos with Homestar Runner.
- In Search of the Yello Dello: Deleted Scene #3 — Strong Mad has a Black Flag tattoo on his arm.
- Email flag day — Strong Bad gives Strong Mad a tattoo of the snake and tire as seen on the Strong Badian flag.
- Email marzipan (Easter egg) — One of the images during the rapid fire of Marzipan's music video is an "Oh Yeah" tattoo with a heart on a beefy arm.
- Email replacement — Strong Bad decides that "Checking emails and kicking Cheats 'til the day I die" would make an awesome tattoo, but an even better epitaph.
- Halloween Fairstival — Coach Z includes a "THORG LIFE" tattoo as part of his Tupac costume.
- Trogdor Con '97 (Easter egg) — Strong Bad expresses especial disapproval toward a woman's tattoo.
- Strong Bad is a Bad Guy — The plot heavily revolves around what kind of tattoos Strong Mad, The Cheat, Strong Bad, and Homestar would get.
- Email strong badathlon — During the Powered by The Cheat section, Strong Bad is drawn with anchor tattoos on his arms.
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 13 — The Arrow'd Guy appears as a giant baby with an anchor tattoo on his arm.
- Rap Song — One scene shows a man getting "RAP SONG" tattooed across his stomach.
- Baddest of the Bands Teen Girl Squad Meets Limozeen — Strong Bad draws tattoos on Gary Palaroncini, which Cheerleader asks about.
- Cheat Commandos: Two Part Episode: Part 2 — Subtlefuge has an anchor tattoo on his chest.
- Doomy Tales of the Macabre — The Poopsmith includes a tattoo as part of his Goron King costume.
- Zeenin' Into the Night — Larry Palaroncini sings the line, "I wake up with new tattoos all up and down my arms". He is seen surprised by these tattoos.
