[edit] Deletion

I'm the one who marked it for deletion, and i don't feel that should give me any more choice than anyone else, but it just does not happen enough in the site. Two occasions are not that many, I mean, perhaps we could leave it and see if it happens again, and if not, it has to go. -Omegalord 13:02, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Inside jokes and running gags are the only kind of articles that need three or more appearances to qualify for an article. Items and most of the characters need only to be seen once or twice, and nunchucks are an item. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 15:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling?

Is this page spelled correctly? According to Wikipedia, it's "nunchaku", and not "nunchucks". Or is it one of those words with more than one spelling? Hagurumon 23:52, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Good question — I think we get our spelling from Strong Bad's float in Fall Float Parade. Trey56 23:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Well, upon further examination of the Wikipedia page, the correct spelling is "nunchaku", but it can be "nunchucks". But shouldn't we spell it "nunchaku" instead, due to it being the more formal spelling? Hagurumon 23:55, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't think so. First, Strong Bad spells it "nunchucking" in Fall Float Parade. Second, he pronounces it "nunchucks" (although I don't know whether "nunchaku" is pronounced the same way). I'm not 100% sure, though. Trey56 23:57, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
We should use the spelling TBC use for the article. Other spellings can be redirects. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:58, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Hmm, I thought that "nunchaku" was more correct, but "nunchucks" was more common, at least in English... but Google disagrees, giving 4 times as many results for "nunchaku"... Merriam-Webster doesn't even list "nunchucks" as a recognised variant... But TBC's usage trumps all. BTW, "nunchaku" is pronounced almost the same as "nunchuck" (sans s)... or, at least, close enough to be indistinguishable by an English listener. --phlip TC 23:59, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Here is a pronunciation. Hagurumon 00:00, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
TBC = In charge. It's nunchuck. — Flashfight 19:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion 2: This Time, It's Not Deletion 1

Everything on this page is covered on Nunchuck Gun, with the exception of the Fall Float Parade appearance, which could easily be moved there ("The nunchucks previously appeared in Fall Float Parade where they were used to..."). I think this page should instead redirect to Nunchuck Gun, so we won't have to update two pages every time it appears. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 23:53, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

Makes sense, same way Bubs' Napkins also features unusual applications of napkins without him. Guybrush20X6 00:02, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
