[edit] Early random chatter

Under 'glitches', it says: When you select "rt arm", it actually moves Bubs's left arm, and when you select "lt arm," it moves his right arm.

Erm, then couldn't one comfortably assume that the 'rt arm' and 'lt arm' refers to the viewer's left or right? Seeing as no-one is going to view this page for a few months I'll be bold. --195.92.67.69 17:40, 29 Jan 2005 (MST)

Don't be so sure that no one will read this; some users monitor every single edit. As for the "glitch," you're absolutely correct. Thank you for removing it. -- FortyTwo 18:06, 29 Jan 2005 (MST)

Why does everyone say that the first music clip is a banjo? I play the banjo, and it doesn't sound at all like that.

It's the name of the song. Or, more accuratley, the URL of the song. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 04:41, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The "banjo" and "Everybody! Everybody!" files seems to be removed. You can't listen to them, and the links is 404'D! Why the files disappeared? Any toughts? --81.230.154.89 14:38, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Works fine for me... Elcool (talk)(contribs) 15:17, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

But it don't for me. Anyone else with this problem? --81.230.154.89 17:45, 20 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Just like some files on the Secret Pages, the "banjo" and "breakbeat" files go 404'd from time to time and that is why 81.230.154.89 above experienced silence instead of the music. Just try again at a later date.—THE PAPER PREEEOW

I get that problem too, I actually added it to the glitches section and it got removed, but if this a known and apparent problem shouldn't be in the wiki? --68.40.0.189 08:45, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

Me 2. Banjo and everybody are gone, and the links are 404'd! WHAT'S GOING ONNNN!!!!!!!! — talk Bubsty edits 19:58, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

All four currently work for me. Like The Paper said, they go down from time to time, but they still exist most of the time. Spell4yr 20:09, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

I don't hear them, but I used to be able to.--Jnelson09 21:54, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Original files?

Does anyone have a copy of the original music swf files used by this game? They were changed a few yers ago from the originals. (which explains the mis-names)

Finally, someone addresses, or acknowledges, the old clips... (see also "Renegade Master" on main page 4). If no one has these clips, does anyone at least know what they were? I remember "Banjo" as being some sort of Earl Scruggs-type piece, like "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" or something (i.e. actually a banjo). The other filenames are "breakbeat," "money," and "drumnbass." Do those trigger any memories? --Agnamaracs 06:16, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

I remember different, but cannot remember what. Sorry. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 08:22, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Only two music buttons work

I can only get Fhqwgads(sp) and The System is Down to work.

Try giving it some time to load. Xifihas 17:16, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
They are working fine here. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 18:21, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Money?

Why does Money redirect here? Shouldn't it redirect to the economy of FCUSA?

It appears to be the filename of the techno music used in the game. Hence making it a filename redirect. --DorianGray 07:20, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Specifically the filename is money.swf .. OptimisticFool 20:51, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

(Carried this over from a redundant thread inadvertantly started about this)

How is this an appropriate redirect?  Green Helmet 20:41, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

See Talk:Dancin' Bubs#Money?. --DorianGray 20:47, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I have to agree with what the person in that thread said. This should redirect to something *related* to money, not to an old game, based solely on the file name of a component which you never actually *see*. Especially considering it actually refers to something else entirely; according to the Dancin' Bubs page, the music was originally different, and later replaced with original songs, while the filenames were left the same. At *worst*, this should be a disambig page. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 20:54, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I definitely understand the benefit of filename redirects — I use them all the time with filenames from the URL and am always pleased that the wiki "does the right thing". In this instance though... it's not really the right thing. By the time someone's poked around under the hood of the game enough to find this filename, they probably already know what wiki article is relevant (or have more than enough information to find it easily). Someone who is curious about the currency used in FCUSA and uses the search box on the otherhand, is at best jarred by the result. And then has to spend time checking out the article only to find out, it's not relevant at all. I'm just not sure if it's ok to get rid of the redirect here outright, or if we'll have to have a disambiguation page.  Green Helmet 21:20, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
I will feel silly going to the game article and seeing "Money redirects here. For information about money used in the Homestar Runner universe see Free Country, USA#Economics" since that have nothing to do with the game and will only just confuse people more. The redirect is rarely used for the game, so I think that for this one we should break the mold and redirect it to Free Country, USA#Economics. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:05, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Sounds like a reasonable idea to me. YK, GH, and Elcool said it all. OptimisticFool 07:32, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Indeed. Redirects should go where they're most helpful, and we can break filename conventions every once in a while (which is why fireworks doesn't lead to Happy Fireworks). --DorianGray 07:37, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Worst of all, this article doesn't even explain why "money" redirects here. The only people who are going to use these redirects are people putting random words into the search function and it's just going to confuse them. – The Chort 12:29, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Logo

Has anyone noticed that the twirling logo in the loading screen has the backwards logo on the back of it instead of the word "loading"? --Fangoriously 02:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
