HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 11 (Mar 9-15)

I think for this week, we should do something like the Storybook World from whence the whole thing got started. MHarrington 20:20, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

How 'bout... THE 2009 WEEK OF ALL OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE OF STRONG EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!! Or at least the first 7. He can't say job. Don't say jorb 101 Seriously, he can't say job!
How do we do that? Let's do Storybook World or email thunder. Raiku 06:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, we should definitely do email thunder sometime this year, but not yet. MHarrington 18:45, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
A response to Raiku: they only do this a few times per year, but sometimes, instead of a weekly featured article, they have a daily featured article, where every day there's a new one. They usually are related, hence the "THE 2009 WEEK OF ALL OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE OF STRONG EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!!" He can't say job. Don't say jorb 101 Seriously, he can't say job!
That's not what- nevermind. I'd rather do Storybook. That Game Dude 386 22:38, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
And on top of that, Raiku, we've done the Computer Room already, if I remember correctly. MHarrington 06:14, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Eh well, Storybook's a bit short, but it's significant, so why not. Heimstern Läufer 06:21, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Seems a bit TOO short for an FA in my opinion. — Defender1031*Talk 06:23, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
What if instead of the rather short Storybook World, we do The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest? —Guard Duck talk 06:32, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm afraid that one's already been featured. Heimstern Läufer 06:43, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
oops, you're right... I looked for it under the wrong name. In that case I'll go with Storybook World. —Guard Duck talk 07:22, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
OK, looks like Storybook World it is. Anyone who happens to have any ideas for expanding it, that would be really great, though we can live with it as is if it must be so. Heimstern Läufer 03:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 12 (Mar 16-22)

This week, let's deau a game. I'm thinkin' of doing Population: Tire. Any other ideas? That Game Dude 386 00:18, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, I guess, except how much description here could be used? MHarrington 01:11, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Pop tire doesn't really have a very good description for it. I think that Eh! Steve! deserves recognition this week. —Guard Duck talk 05:07, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh, yes! We've never done a Sweet Cuppin' Cakes character before! The only thing about SSC that we've done for an article was the area itself. And that was only last year! So yeah, it's time that this often-overlooked area of Homestar got more due. MHarrington 06:29, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
OK, let's do Eh, Steve! That Game Dude 386 22:32, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
The prose introduction for Eh, Steve! as it stands is really too short for an FA. Anyone think we could expand that? I agree it's a very worthy topic, but it's not really ready for featuring right now. We still have nearly two months until this week; can someone remedy that? Heimstern Läufer 08:59, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, then, why not a Cheat Commandos character? It's been a while since we've done one. I'm thinking maybe either Fightgar or Silent Rip. MHarrington 00:05, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Fightgar works well. I'm all for it. DrPepper42 02:07, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Adding more "oomph" to the Eh, Steve! article isn't that big of a challenge. I could probably do it this afternoon or something. Let's just stick to the consensus we've reached here and put off Fightgar for a different week. —Guard Duck talk 01:19, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
I think Eh! Steve's article is a little more fleshed out. MHarrington 19:08, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
It looks workable now. Let's put Fightgar in the queue for soon. Heimstern Läufer 03:56, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 13 (Mar 23-29)

I think for this week, we should do The King of Town DVD, one of the earliest big toons on the entire site! MHarrington 17:48, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes... an early big toon... *ahem* -still, it is important, in it's own way. No objections. That Game Dude 386 20:58, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
KOT's DVD sounds pretty good. —Guard Duck talk 00:25, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Strong Bad's commentary on that one is still a classic bit of Strong Bad comedy. We could mention that in the writeup, probably. Heimstern Läufer 10:52, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 14 (Mar 30-Apr 5)

I think for this week, we should have Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 14.2, in which one of the messages, from Strong Sad, is on April Fools' Day pranks. MHarrington 18:59, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, since this is April Fool's week, and, um, we should... crap. What was that one article? I was gonna mention that one article on something... about... something... Aw, nevermind. If I think of it, I won't call you back. That Game Dude 386 21:04, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
That is still one of the most bizarre messages Marzy's ever gotten. I'm all about Main Paging it. Heimstern Läufer 10:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
We should do the most bizarre thing on the site. Or something fake. Just because we're a Wiki doesn't mean we can't have a little fun with April fools, right?--Thy Not Dennis (t/c) 17:42, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Is there anything in particular you support featuring instead of MAM 14? And if so, why? Heimstern Läufer 06:36, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, the only other things I can think of are either PayPlus! or maybe even sb email 22 (but that one is not really considered April Fool's, though). At least MAM 14 mentions April Fool's at one time. So we could kill two birds with one stone here: do a holiday theme and do something that only recently got recognition. MHarrington 16:37, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I think we should feature credit card for april fools because he pranks homestar!--Safariventureman 18:51, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

*facepalm* Credit Card came two months before April Fool's. I support PayPlus! or MAM 14.2 (only for the theme, not the quality of the toon itself) getting featured. BBG 19:15, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
As no one has actually bothered to give any reasons against the original suggestion, I'm going to call this discussion in favour of MAM 14. Heimstern Läufer 02:01, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 15 (Apr 6-12)

I think it's finally time to feature email thunder. With full-length hremails about, I think we should feature their origin. That Game Dude 386 16:45, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, while I do agree that email thunder needs to be featured soon, I think that, this week, with it supposedly being Spring Break for many people, we should do The Luau, something that a lot of people have been clamoring for. Maybe we can do email thunder next week. MHarrington 01:13, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, this week seems quite a bit better for The Luau than the one I proposed. I'm all for it. —Guard Duck talk 06:31, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
The Luau seems like a good selection. However, I really believe that it's way too early to feature email thunder. --Stux 03:17, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 16 (Apr 13-19)

For this week, I think we should do another live appearance by something TBC-related: a concert by TMBG, only this time from 2006. MHarrington 07:12, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

I think Hremails deserve a shot. By the time this article's date rolls around, ther'll be plenty of them (hopefully). MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 23:23, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Key word: hopefully. I'm not a nonbeliever, but by the small chance that it doesn't continue very far, we better save that nomination until then. JCM 02:17, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Unfortunately, the TMBG Concert - 3 May 2006 page is rather short and contains little information, as well as having no good quality pictures. I think that Fightgar, an idea proposed a couple weeks back, deserves to be featured. —Guard Duck talk 02:33, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
How about Bug In Mouth Disease because it has most inside references in it and it's really funny to watch.-Record307 Talk/Contribs 02:39, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Bug in Mouth Disease has already been done. BBG 02:43, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
Reply to GuardDuck: I want to do another live appearance by something TBC-related that had pictures, and after a search, the TMGB concert came to mind. Maybe if we were to expand the intro somewhat, that could help. MHarrington 16:49, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
I'm afraid I have to agree that this article isn't really suitable for featuring at this point. The info on the appearance is just too sparse at this point. Heimstern Läufer 06:26, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay, then how about TBC's trip to ROFLCon in 2008? MHarrington 15:42, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
That one's pretty stubby, too, and I know there's a lot more information out there that needs to be added. Heimstern Läufer 06:37, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay, then, I've got it: the Pulse Interview of 2003. That one is a bit longer and features pictures to boot. MHarrington 17:56, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 17 (Apr 20-26)

For this week, we should do the email 50 emails. MHarrington 16:57, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

I agree that 50 emails definitely needs featuring sometime soon, but there seems to have been quite a clamor for email thunder over the past few weeks, and I think we need to do that one sooner rather than later. —Guard Duck talk 05:42, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
All right, I guess we can do email thunder this week, but can we do "50 emails" before this year is up? After all, I believe that's what somewhat started the whole email anniversary phenomenon. MHarrington 17:38, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 18 (Apr 27-May 3)

For this week, how about doing one on Hremails, especially in the wake of email thunder, regardless of what's happening on Week 17. MHarrington 01:01, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Hremails sounds fine to me. —Guard Duck talk 01:26, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Me, too.-Record307 Talk/Contribs 12:34, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 19 (May 4-10)

This week I thought we could to Ballad of the Sneak. It's an important toon, one of the more famous Old Timey ones, and I think it's unique in that it showcases more collaboration between the Chaps and external parties. —Guard Duck talk 02:30, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

I suppose that one would work, but if we were to do that one, we should also do first The Cheat Theme Song, which is just as important if not more so. MHarrington 22:51, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
The Cheat Theme Song is probably more important as it launched a new spin-off. BBG 23:05, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
Either one can work for me, although now that you mention it, The Cheat Theme Song does seem more important than Ballad of the Sneak. —Guard Duck talk 20:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree with The Cheat Theme Song for this week, but which spinoff did it launch? Thy Not Dennis (t/c) 11:14, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
