The word mess is frequently used to describe things that you wouldn't quite expect.

- Needlepoint — The page title is "Bless This Mess!", a reference to The Simpsons.
- Email the show — Marshie tells the viewer, "You'd best be eating a whole mess of Fluffy Puff Marshmallows!"
- Email stupid stuff — After The Cheat attempts to serve Strong Bad some The Cheatcakes, Strong Bad tells him "Get that mess outta here!"
- Peasant's Quest Preview — In the Easter egg, Videlectrix 1 complains "I come to work and I have to look at this mess!"
