The word mess is frequently used to describe things that you wouldn't quite expect.

• Needlepoint — The page title is "Bless This Mess!", a reference to The Simpsons.
• Email the show — Marshie tells the viewer, "You'd best be eating a whole mess of Fluffy Puff Marshmallows!"
• Email funny — After Strong Bad flings ketchup all over the computer room, Strong Bad tells The Cheat to "start cleaning this mess up".
• Email stupid stuff — After The Cheat attempts to serve Strong Bad some The Cheatcakes, Strong Bad tells him "Get that mess outta here!"
• Peasant's Quest Preview — In the Easter egg, Videlectrix 1 complains "I come to work and I have to look at this mess!"
• Peasant's Quest — If you attempt to give the Baby Lady an item, she'll reply "We don't need that mess."
• Labor Dabor — While Frank Bennedetto is popping popcorn, Homestar Runner tells him to "keep that mess down".
• Halloween Fairstival — Strong Bad sees Marzipan singing with "a chorus of autumnal vegetables" and asks "What is this mess?"
• Email part-time job — Bubs considers Strong Bad's email show a waste of time and tells him "That mess'll never get you anywhere!"

• Biz Cas Fri 3 — Homestar sends Strong Bad a 3-gig email attachment that causes his computer to break. Homestar says "When you get that mess fixed, check out that attachment."

• Email lady fan — Some bags of Cat Mess are used by Marzipan to make an arts and crafts project.

• Teen Girl Squad Issue 12 — The Wireless Wizard asks Cheerleader "And what's this other text mess?"
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 14.2 — Strong Bad, while imitating an automated phone robot, tells Marzipan, "to place a new six foot Italian sub in Strong Bad's hands, please hang up and do that mess right now."

• Jibblies 2 — The King of Town mistakenly refers to the jibblies as a "giblet flu" and says "That mess sounds delicious!"
• Email pet show — Strong Bad enters The Cheat in the Cat Mess Inbredtational Pet Show.
• Email buried — The game show background reads "SLOP! MESS! QUIZ!"
• Baddest of the Bands — After Strong Bad sabotages PomStar, Larry Palaroncini says "That mess was crazy with a K!"
• Email sbemail206 — Strong Bad, talking about Internet April Fools' Day pranks, says "Forget all that mess!"
• @StrongBadActual — For the twentieth anniversary of the Homestar Runner body of work, Strong Bad tweets a picture of the Original Book and tells everyone "this mess is what's turning 20, not our website."
