Strong Sad and Coach Z's Relationship

"I don't wanna die!"

While Strong Sad and Coach Z are both considered creepy loners by the rest of the cast, they don't really get along themselves. Most interactions consist of Strong Sad questioning, criticizing, or being creeped out by Coach Z's behaviors. However, they do seem to get along sometimes, usually in a professional context.

• Pumpkin Carve-nival — Strong Sad tells Coach Z, "I rarely know what you're talking about."
• Email senior prom — Strong Sad scolds Coach Z for spiking the punch with Listerine, even though he claims he is only trying to improve the guests' breaths.
• DNA Evidence — Strong Sad tells Coach Z he has a sucky imagination.
• Ever and More — Strong Sad calls Coach Z's recipe horrible.
• Blubb-O's Commercial — Strong Sad points out Coach Z may be trying to go to prison.
• Doomy Tales of the Macabre — When Coach Z asks about his fate, Strong Sad responds, "Um, you're already Coach Z. No sense in beating a dead horse."
• The Deleteheads Download Vol. 3 — Strong Sad is sad that his chiaroscuro drawing of a dragon has to share the honor of being an alternate Trogdor meeple with Coach Z's Wormdingler in Trogdor!! The Board Game, noting that even typing it out makes him unsettled.
• Six-Sadded, Die. - Trogdor!! The Board Game Unboxing — Strong Sad and Mike Chapman fall awkwardly silent when finding the Wormdingler meeple.
• 2022 Costume Pack Now Available — Strong Sad is disturbed by the fact that Coach Z inexplicably has fingers in this toon.

• Email caffeine — Hyperactive Strong Sad beats up Coach Z before finally turning back to normal.
• Email rampage — Coach Z ridicules Strong Sad's lyrical rampage.
• A Folky Tale — Coach Z creeps out Strong Sad by telling him to "cram a little oompa down [his] pants". Strong Sad refuses to obey Coach Z and even frames him for killing him.
• Sbemail 150?!? — Strong Sad admits that he's always wanted to pour coffee on Coach Z.
• Strong Badia the Free — Strong Sad and Coach Z are on opposing sides in Maps and Minions. If they are on the same space, Strong Sad will depress Coach Z into giving up on fighting him.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 16.2 — Coach Z threatens to unmercifully kick Strong Sad in the shins.
• Email hremail 3184 — Coach Z complains that Strong Sad doesn't provide enough spit for him to even "warsh [his] hands", let alone shower.
• Decemberweenvent Calendar (Day 24) — Strong Sad approves of Homestar Runner's new Decemberweeve Traditions, which include poking Coach Z until he leaves.

• A Jorb Well Done — Strong Sad successfully helps Coach Z properly pronounce "job".
• Email 1 step ahead — Coach Z cheers Strong Sad on for "patting" his butt.
• Email labor day — Coach Z laughs at Strong Sad's joke about Strong Bad's party invitation getting "da-leet-ed", calling him the life of the party.
• From the Vault — Strong Sad and Coach Z share a car on the "Bubs" roller coaster.
• One Two, One Two — Strong Sad pats his belly in time to the music, as Coach Z cheers him on.
• Email Accent — Strong Sad calls in Coach Z to help Strong Bad regain his Mexican accent.
• Coach Z's 110% — Coach Z helps Strong Sad become the "number one pick".
• Homestar Runner Goes For the Gold — Coach Z says "I am into this!" when he sees Strong Sad turn into Strong Glad, making him the only character who likes his new form.
