Remarks

• When Homestar wears the sunglasses, both of his eyes are behind one lens.

Glitches

• On "Toons", the boat pauses for a moment just before its horn toots. This is due to the sound being loaded, which probably is of a large file size.
• On "Characters", the splash sound effect plays just before the coconut hits the water.
• The monkey that descends in the "E-mail" effect is partially visible behind the branches of the tree. This is not the case for "Characters".

• The white whale is likely a reference to Moby Dick.

Fast Forward

• "Wear a Bikini!" would later be used many other times on the site.
• The Toons, Games, and Store effects are all referenced in island, though on the Store effect, Homestar says "Email" instead.
• In The Name of This Cartoon Would Ruin It, one of the Easter Eggs is Front Facing Homestar attacking this page as a ship.
