[edit] Welcome!

Hey there, Kyle "the paper" Williams! Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! It's awesome that they chose yours (I'm sure there were quite a few) for The Paper's exit! And for those wondering about Kyle's claim on his user page, I can confirm that Kyle is posting from where he says he's from in the email. — It's dot com 21:53, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for the comment, and also I have registered in the fourms and you will also find my comments in regards of The Paper and why I wrote it. Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 21:56, 12 June 2007 (UTC) --P.S. Two E-Mails.
Hey, Wi2k, welcome to the wiki! I'd just like to tell you your favs subpage will probably not pass well with the sysops. You may want to move that info onto your userpage and put the {{delete}} template on that page. --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 22:15, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
In regards of favs, i've edited it (to be more wiki-ish), and included a disclaimer that states a sysop can "speedy delete" the page if it continues not to be of wiki standards. Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 22:31, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Indeed, I'm sorry to tell you that it does not conform to our policy. Please do as SMB suggested if you want to save the contents of that page. Thanks for understanding. Loafing 23:20, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
The page [[User:Thewi2kbug/favs]] is ready for removal, thank you for informing me Loafing... Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 23:32, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Righty-o! Keep on tranglin'! Loafing 00:02, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Show preview

only reason why I've been notified twice is because its been a while since both messages and during that time I wasnt loging in.. thanks! Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 12:27, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Hey Kyle. I see that you have made several consecutive edits to your user page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks one million! — It's dot com 23:00, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi there, Wi2K... It's good to see you're working on your userpage, but I'd like to mention again the "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button – if you use that, you can see what you've changed without saving the page, which is easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and it doesn't fill up Recent changes with your edits. Keep on trangling,

While you're welcome to archive your talk, any response to this being the second time you have been notified about this? I'd be thrilled to see progress here. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 14:55, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Data sidebars

I have a question regarding user data sidebars, do you by chance manufacture them? Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 23:10, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Do you mean userboxes? If so, there are instructions near the top of that page. — It's dot com 23:15, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
See User Data is what im refering to... Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 00:03, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
With such a high number of young users, having that be a community template wouild probably lead to problems. I see no reason why you wouldn't be free to do it on your page, and even allow other users to copy and use the code on theirs if they wish. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I have no problem with everyone using this, I would like to see what one of the sysops or admins say about it, due to the code is more template-oriented. Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 00:42, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I agree with what Qermaq said. There currently isn't a need for a full template. It's nifty, though. — It's dot com 00:53, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
When there becomes a need, can you keep this in consideration? Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 00:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
I'd submit that the subpage demonstration is appropriate as a "project page" and that sure, we as a community should keep an open mind on this, and at any such time this seems a good direction I say do it. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:06, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
We have actually discussed this before on the talk page for Template:Infobox_User and have come to the consensus to delete it (which is why you unfortunately can't read the discussion). Loafing 01:07, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
"I see no reason why you wouldn't be free to do it on your page, and even allow other users to copy and use the code on theirs if they wish. - Qermaq" - I have created the code that is not template based, that other people can use, it can be found here: Non-Template Version. [edit] EMAIL

I was just wondering, did you do anything special to get your email answered (i.e. send the email a million times, send from different addresses, send TBC cookies, etc.), or did you just send it like, once and, that was it?

I send my e-mail twice, but just a secret, after watching montage so many times, writing about the paper's demise would be fitting for the e-mail number it was foretold in (#173). the paper Wi2K Talk-Favorites-173 18:22, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
