Talk:Email Intros

Anyone else notice that Strong Bad's eyes start as the old style and do not gain the reflection even when brianrietta is shown (the first e-mail to use the newer eye design)? I'd say it's worth noting. --Suicune64 20:22, 30 Mar 2005 (MST)

Odd, I never saw that. — talk Bubsty edits 03:38, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Request

This is what the cleanup tag is for. I noticed that this and the Strong Bad Email Intros articles are pretty much one and the same. I think that these should be merged and one redirected to the other. --Stux 17:35, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Well, this is a DVD feature. Strong Bad Email Intros is a thingy we at the wiki made and have maintained ourselves. --DorianGray
Makes sense, but if you look at it, it's not organized as such:
  1. This article mentions that the intro is a DVD video.
  2. The DVD "nav bar" at the bottom is present at, and points to Strong Bad Email Intros. That's the SB Email nav bar, oops!
  3. The list only goes to 100, if we are to keep a compendium of all the email intros we'd need to list all of them... up to 138. I can only assume that the DVD version goes only to 100. I think it might be nice if we copy the intros to this page. It would be only slightly redundant, yet beneficial.
  4. Since I striked almost everything, I'll try to see if I can link this to the actual DVD it resides in. revised: 18:21, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
So, --Stux 18:09, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
Oh crap, I got everything backwards hold on... --Stux 18:10, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
Changes made to my list. --Stux 18:21, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Okay so my only concern left is, that I think that the Transcript should be copied here (i.e. the list of first 100 emails). It would just look a little better (and they don't change you know). --Stux 18:27, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Also, does the DVD list in this clip the intros for the DVD-only emails as well, or just the 100? --Stux 18:28, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Well, I don't know... I don't have any H*R merchandise (although I'm planning to ask for all the DVDs and such for my birthday, if I don't get any other ideas before then). --DorianGray
It's just the first 100, as best I can remember (I haven't watched 'em for a few months) Thunderbird 01:49, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
Maybe we should delete this page, and rederect all its links to Strong Bad Email Intros, which will have an added sentence like that on Scroll Button Songs claiming that there was a DVD bonus feature playing the intros for the first 100 emails, except invisibility, couch patch, and weird dream.

[edit] Second Merge Request

With regards to this request, I do not really think it is necessary. As you can see in the section above, this was discussed before because it was thought to be redundant, but it really is not, the 100-Email intro is a featurette found in the DVD that you can play and just watch, as such it deserves the same treatment as any other Toon or Strong Bad Email. This is different from the Strong Bad Email Intros in that the intros is a page that contains a compilation of the intros made by wiki editors, and this page documents a compilation made by TBC for the DVD. That is why I went ahead and removed the notice and will leave an HTML comment to the matter. --Stux 02:28, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Organize into a transcript

Can we make the transcript like that of a normal toon or DVD feature, as opposed to a table? Would that end the requests to delete or merge? Bad Bad Guy 23:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

See Stux's comment directly above this. This page isn't up for deletion or a merge. This article deals with the feature on the DVD, and Strong Bad Email Intros is a collection of all the Strong Bad Email intros. -- Tom 20:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Reread my comment! I didn't ask to delete or merge this article, I asked to revise it. We have to treat it like a normal bonus feature, but we don't number every line of Sample of Style or include a "listen" button for every line of the karaoke videos. Bad Bad Guy 20:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
There's no need to shout. This, nor any issue on this wiki, really, is that pressing. Unless you're holla'ing for a dolla. If you want to reorganize this page so that it reads like a toon transcript, then by all means, go for it. If the change is a useful one, then we'll keep it; if not, we won't. It's as simple as that. — It's dot com 22:38, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm testing it out on Scroll Button Songs (video) because it's shorter. Bad Bad Guy 22:59, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
See Talk:Scroll Button Songs (video)#Revert with regards to that article. If we arrive at a reasonable format there (give it a few days) then we can apply the format to this page. --Stux 02:49, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

What are your thoughts on the revised version? Bad Bad Guy 02:40, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
