Talk:Authorless Books

From Homestar Runner Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Wouldn't just Books be a more obvious page title? (At least you put all those images to good use, I was getting worried what you were up to) Thunderbird 22:22, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Actually, no. This page is about books with no revealed author. Bluebry 23:13, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fa or Ja?

Image:TheHauntedFa.PNG I think that the "Fa" in this picture is actually a "Ja". Though, without the rest of the word, that's still not a big help. --Jay (Talk) 22:58, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

And I'm right! Just before The Homestar walks up to the bookshelf, you can easily see the full titles of all books on the shelf. It's part of the word "Jacuzzi". --Jay (Talk) 23:02, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
According to the That A Ghost page's trivia, the titles are as follows:
    • Dead Things Book One
    • Ghostly Measures
    • 27 Cent Ghosties
    • The Ghost In My Pocket
    • Creepiness, Oh My!
    • There Is A Ghost In This Book
    • A Goodtime Story (The Homestar Runner chooses this book)
    • Banshees, Indeed!
    • Ghastly Monsters
    • Zombies Are Cool
--DorianGray
Well, then, it's wrong. There are twelve books; count 'em yourself. --Jay (Talk) 23:06, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tiny Titles

Is there any way to make the pictures in the table.... more readable? I tried changing it from 75px to 100px, but that just blurred the images. They aren't much of a help this small. SaltyTalk! 02:03, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps if you zoomed in on the Flash file before taking a screen shot... --DorianGray
But only the rampage ones. The That A Ghost ones are fine. Bluebry 02:28, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
I fixed the blurry images. Bluebry 18:59, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Yearbook?

Wait, guys, I added the Yearbook, and, now that I think about it, it isn't minor, which is one of the things required.

Taken from page: This is a list of all minor books that have titles, but do not have authors.

What do you think? Bluebry 19:04, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] To be discussed... discussion

This page hasn't had a real edit since April of aught six, and, it seems like a useless list. I think we should either A) move this to Books (which at the moment redirects to this page) where it lists all books not major enough to have their own page, or B) delete the page. Bluebry 18:41, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Just coz it's not added to often, it should be deleted. D= I think it's a fine page. All the books are needed to be noted somewheres. --DorianGray 18:46, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Meh, I still think we need to at least move it to Books. Bluebry 18:48, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

You mean rename the page books? Because right now if you search books it just brings you to this page. --Acam30 03:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Books might be more inclusive, I admit. --DorianGray 04:47, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
First, just because there hasn't been an edit in a year is no grounds for action. If it seems to be useless, that's another thing. But is it useless? It lists the book titles found in various toons, and I think they deserve mention somehow. In a thread above, someone suggested the scope of the page was books with unknown authors, but I think that's a foolish and unnecessary distinction. Calling this Books would mean including all books found in the H*RU. Is that what we want? Alternately, we could have a Books page for major books which play into plots, such as the coloring book or the pop-up book. Then rename this to something of more relevance to what it is - theae are not necessarily "authorless", we just don't know, and again that's not really the distinction anyway. Minor Books? I say we move the page to Books — books aren't really a significant topic to have separate pages for minor and major ones, at least in my, er, book. Trey56 22:40, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and removed the TBD tag, as there seems to be no real interest in eliminating this article. There seems to be some interest in moving it, though I don't see a consensus for this yet. Either way, the TBD tag isn't needed anymore, methinks. Heimstern Läufer 01:34, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
