PhoneTime XL8

The PhoneTime XL8 is Marzipan's second answering machine. It first appeared in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2. This new machine is functionally the same as the previous model, but rather than the faux wood case, this sports a nice, black finish.

The PhoneTime XL8 can be seen in the background in an Easter egg in flashback. Strong Bad managed to leave a prank call on this machine from prison using a can and some string in Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon (much like The Homestar Runner did in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2). The Cheat stole the PhoneTime XL8 for Strong Bad's garage sale. Strong Bad then tried to sell it back to Marzipan, who wasn't too happy about it.

In Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 16.2, the PhoneTime XL8 was replaced with an upgraded model, the PhoneTime XL800. The PhoneTime XL8 oddly returns in Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 17.2, where it is bulging, dilapidated and old. However, it appears to have the record button that was previously exclusive to the XL800. However, it is possible that the two zeroes on the XL800 were merely smudged away. At the end of the cartoon, it explodes.
