[edit] Questions from Walking Armless

Can Tom nominate himself? - Walking Armless

Tom's already an admin. He was just using himself as an example for the correct format to use. →FireBird

[edit] Don't say "decline"

"Decline" works for the STUFF page, but here it doesn't make much sense because the only person can decline a nomination is the person who is nominated. The terminology on Wikipedia for this sort of thing is "Support/Oppose", which I think we should use. - furrykef (Talk at me) 05:55, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I think it's kinda partially my fault. As a joke, I added a Second to one of the nominations, and then everyone ELSE started Seconding, and later, Declineing. I really didn't mean for everyone to treat the page like the STUFF page. --Jay 06:07, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Time

How long will the voting/nominating stuff last? EDSMILDE

I was kinda wondering that myself. Since this started on a Monday, I suspect that it will also end on a Monday, but that's ONLY A GUESS. --Jay 21:35, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Their April 2005 nominations, so I thought it was going to end with April. -- Joshua 16:17, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Congrats new sysops!

You guys deserve a trophy. Or a pizza. Or maybe a pizza trophy. Aurora the Homestar Coder 02:14, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I'll make do with the trophy - I can't eat mozzerella. (Hey, who wants my pizza slice?) --Jay 02:17, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
*eats the whole trophy* →FireBird
  • eats whole Firebird, than furrykef. (but not Jay, he's my nominee)*-- Posted by: -erson Talk 12:17, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Delort it

Shouldn't this be deleted? April '05 is over now. --Gafaddict 18:17, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

No, this should not be deleted. -- Tom 18:45, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The thing

The thing thinks The thing should be. I don't meen to uh... whatever but I think I should be a sysop because I created Characters' Contacts I welcomed more than 20 people I helped a lot of pages and a lot of other stuff that I can't think of right now. So bye.

Sincerly,
TheThin 23:46, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Well, you see, The thing, the nominations are over. As written at the top of this page, it was conducted on April 2005. The Homestar Runner wiki doesn't need anymore sysops. The next time JoeyDay, Tom or any other high member opens up another vote, then try to get nominated, and not by you. You are making good progress in helping, just continue what you are doing. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 23:56, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

OK --TheThin 00:00, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mod

Defender1031 should be a mod. He is a good user. Raiku 04:00, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

First off, around these parts, the term is "sysop", not "mod" (the latter term is for the forum). Secondly I'm sure DeFender'll be thrilled at your nomination, but I'm afraid noms have been over for a long time (notice the "April 2005" thing in the title). There haven't been any nominations open since then, and I wouldn't put a lot of money on there being any more ever. There could be, but I wouldn't count on it. If there are, it'll be a decision made by the bureaucrats, so you'll need to wait for that. Heimstern Läufer 05:29, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Do they do this anymore?

I know this is an archive from four years ago, but do they nominate sysops anymore? If so, where? Thy Not Dennis (t/c) 22:52, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Nope. Our edit load isn't quite what it used to be, and thus we haven't really needed any new ones in a while. — It's dot com 23:10, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
