Hey there Homesturk! Great jorb on the subtitles! However, although not probably many others think this is important, but the the ISO language code for Turkish is just "tr". Not "tr-tr", as you have previously used. Thanks a bunch, and I'll catch you later! --Sysrq868 13:28, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey Homesturk! I'm not sure whether you know, but we subtitlers are gathering up a international welcoming page system, in all the languages we currently have subtitles for. Currently we are making a portal for all the pages, and it's prototype is at my user space here. If you'd translate the phrase "Select your language" (try to find a golden road between politeness and casualness), and replace it with the "[turkish]" that is on that page right now, it'd be great. Also, verify that we spelled "Welcome!" correctly in the menu.

Furthermore, if you ever have a lot of time (or a minute or two every day), you could start translating the Turkish welcoming page, which you can find at HRWiki:Welcome/tr. Currently it just has a trivial "we're sorry" -page; ignore it.

When you are ready, copy the entire contents of this page, and replace the current Turkish welcome page's contents with it. So, in other words, overwrite this page with this page and translate (when you have time). The welcoming pages are sort of the culmination of all the subtitles work you have done / will do in the future - not all Turkish audiences might find your subtitles without a well-done Turkish welcome page.

We currently don't have a welcoming image (the Homestar Runner gang with "Welcome!" in the appropriate language) for Turkish, but I'll see if Trey56 can do one interfrastically. Just leave it Spanish (<code>Welcome_es.png</code>), and when we have the Turkish image, we'll replace it.

I know that the welcome page is a massive translation project, but most users have done it/are currently doing it in small, one or two paragraph parts. You are welcome to ask me any questions or complications that you might find with the welcoming pages - I'll be glad to help.

Okay, enough text for now. Keep up the good work with the subtitles, and I'll catch you later! -- 22:29, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hey there, Homesturk! Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! I'm so glad you want to help us with our translation project. I will enable the Turkish language just as soon as I get a chance. If you need anything else, feel free to ask! Cheers! — It's dot com 17:15, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Weclome, Homesturk! I never though about Turkish as a subtitled language. It looks great! Are you from Turkey, or did you learn it? Have a good day, Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:09, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

No, didn't learn! I'm Turkish.

I need to bring one little thing to your attention. Our signature guidelines require that your signature be your name (among other things), so you need to adjust that in your preferences. Thanks! — It's dot com 17:15, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Language codes

Hey there Homesturk! Great jorb on the subtitles! However, although not probably many others think this is important, but the the ISO language code for Turkish is just "tr". Not "tr-tr", as you have previously used. Thanks a bunch, and I'll catch you later! --Sysrq868 13:28, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Welcoming system

Just leave it Spanish (Welcome_es.png), and when we have the Turkish image, we'll replace it.
