Man, I was hoping for something really good. This April Fool's wasn't all that funny, and it simply made an ugly mess of the Main Pages. I just hope that this just means that email 150 is that much better! --Jay (Talk) 05:36, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

How did they do it?

Does any one know how they did it? I doubt they manually fliped every movie (and 150 sbemails).

149.5 actually. They did it by changing all the embedded swf files to "theyCallHimFlipper.swf?contentURL=name of original swf file.swf", which flips them over. --ENUSY 14:50, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Changed throughout the early morning

I was there at random times up until about 2 am (darn college lifestyle) At some point the main page and the toons menu page were both unrotated. They also had the Weeklies items (QFSR) moved at about the same time.

Anyone else get a chance to see this?

Déjà vû…

Man, all those glitches remind me so badly of the subtitles Flash thingy I made back in the day... Exactly like Flipper, it had to load a swf from the Homestar site and display it with various differences (flipper has it upside down, subtitles had it with text overlayed). I had the same problem with weird-proportion toons (took about a page worth of geometry and algebra to fix that one), toons that used _root (it took me days to find _lockroot), and missing text in certain toons (I never fixed this one... I "fixed" it by never subtitling Under Construction...). It doesn't surprise me one bit that TBC hit the same problems. --phlip ^T_C 17:25, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

[Making Fiends] has some of its old cartoons edited for April Fools Day as well. Specifically all the characters have beards. Are any other sites doing things like this? PolarBoy

What about us?

Should we make some mention of hrwiki's AFD adventures? Especially considering the fact that our admins joke was much better than even the Brothers Chaps' and should go down in Homestar Runner History. Of course it makes sense for it to be in the history of the wiki, but maybe at least a mention as a fun fact... -privatedrew

It could go on the history section of our site. I think it's called HRWiki:A History or something.

No, but the Flash file that flips the pages, theyCallHimFlipper.swf, is considered a Site Component. A site component is a part of the site that isn't normally accessed on its own and is usually embedded in another file, like the Very, Very Little Girl Easter egg from Summer Short Shorts. — Has Matt? Flip Anytime

You know that some some computers can flip their screen? Just press Ctrl + Alt + The Down Arrow. Only some can. To redo your screen Just press Ctrl + Alt + The Up Arrow.

How?

How does the flash file work? I tried decompiling it but there was an empty stage and some actionscript. When I clicked on the frame, the align panel said "rotate: 180" btu there was nothing there! Problems with Lappy Screen...

A glitch where when you hold down the mouse button (IE: like you're touching the lappy screen itself) doesn't stay touched. This may be due to incorrect masking. --99.153.135.134 04:33, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Rename

Since this toon was never given an official name, I think it should be moved to April Fool 06 to match the newest April Fools' Day article, April Fool 09, which was given that name on Homestar Runner.com. Homestar-Winner (talk) 22:22, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

For me, it still doesn't work, and it's February 5th. I don't have a problem with updates, usually; I always get them the day they happen, so either you aren't getting the update, or something very strange is going on...

On my computer, I see no problem with the TCHF Flash files, but since that is not the case for you, I suggest you install Phlip's Greasemonkey script if you would like to watch the cartoons upside down. Shine Sprite (complain) 14:56, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

It's back, but...

I was the one who noticed that it was gone a few months ago. However, now that it is back, it appears to be an older version of Flipper. Even though I was not on the site when it happened, I looked at the fixed glitches and found that most of them are still happening now. Flipper

The flipper IS gone! I've tried both with and without the www and also tried with the Greasemonkey script. Also, why does everyone insist the flipper works? The links to the flipper should be taken down and a notice put on the page. I'll do that now. Dagoth 03:52, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

We've been having this discussion for over two years now (see the above threads). H*R.com is on more than one server, which are not perfectly synchronized. If you can't see something on the site, that doesn't necessarily mean it's been deleted. — It's dot com 04:05, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
