Biography

Homsar is a parody of Homestar Runner. It is unclear why he acts in what can be best described as a "foolish" manner, but his behavior is generally accepted by the other main characters. He usually only appears in hidden easter eggs (e.g., Homsar Main Page, his character tape, Downloads easter egg, etc.), but sometimes he'll appear out of an easter egg in a regular toon or Strong Bad Email. He is often quoted by Homestar Runner fans, as his few appearances are often accompanied by what some believe to be cute little sayings, many of which are nonsensical or old fashioned.

HOMSAR: AaAaAaAaAaAaA! Hi, Wonder Mike! I'm Homsar! The captain of the gravy train. {bowler hat pops up and turns into a train conductor's hat} Climb aboard! {hat returns to normal} I've put my best foot flowered... Pshoooo! (Homsar's hat slides down the back of his head, then snaps back once the "Pshoooo!" sound is over) Sure beats breaking up with me. Don't look now! I'm just a friendly reminder. AaAaAaAaAaAaA! AaAaAaAaAaAaA! {runs around screen backwards and ends up at the top, upside down} Think I won the powerball.

Fun Facts

• Homsar was created in the Strong Bad Email "homsar" when the sender misspelled Homestar. The Brothers Chaps created an entirely new character from this typo.
• "Wonder Mike" is a member of The Sugar Hill Gang, famous for the song "Rapper's Delight." More relevant, however, is that the Wonder Mike was a 1970s wireless microphone with a built-in FM transmitter (you tuned into a station on the left end of the dial and you could hear yourself on the radio if you were within about ten feet of said radio).
• "Think I won the Powerball" is a reference to the multistate Powerball Lottery, which is known for having large jackpots.
• The font used on Homsar's shirt is Bauhaus 93.
• Homsar's character page is the only one with background music.
• Homsar has a unique bububububbububu walking sound.
• Homsar.com is a website, which may or may not be by The Brothers Chaps.
