Nice Try

Occasionally, The Brothers Chaps hide details (in Flash files and other media) that they don't want the viewer to see. If the viewer tries to inspect further, they will often be met with a taunting message instead of the expected details.
Appearances
- Sbemail 100 Fakeout — Strong Bad taunts the viewer for attempting to access the 100th email early through the URL, saying "Oh, I suppose you think you're pretty clever, huh?".
- Email the chair — Strong Bad's supposed picture of his parents (that is conveniently blocked by Le Restige) instead reads "nice try dodongo!".
- Jibblies 2 Teaser — Hidden behind the silhouettes of the characters is the phrase "nice try dan", only visible upon decompiling the Flash file if attempting to view the Halloween costumes early. Later Halloween teasers continued this trend of hidden text, albeit without the "nice try" wording.
- The Homestar Runner Enters The Spooky Woods Teaser — The Homestar Runner tells Strong Bad "Nice try, Dodongo!"
- Strong Bad Talking Plush — Untying the laces on the back of the doll's mask reveals the words "NICE TRY!".
- Halloween Hide & Seek (v2.0) — Homestar comments "Nice try, Dodongo" when trying to guess Strong Bad's teaser costume.
