Talk:Papa Cardgage's Puddin' Patch
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Keep since Place and Carrot and Kazoo Hill already have articles as well. Bad Bad Guy 02:51, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Redirect this is a frivolous article and it shouldnt have its own page if it is mentioned at a later date then it shall be brought back. I also think that those other two shouldn't have a page of their own. Redirect it to licensed --Wichesbrew82 02:54, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't bother me that we have this article. What does bother me has to do with the outline of the body... what happened to that guy's leg!? Yikes!

According to the inclusion guidelines, things closely associated to one character belong on the character page. This should be merged to Senor Cardgage, if it isn't there already.- Qermaq - (T/C)03:34, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think this is all that closely associated with Senor C. (he never even appears there, after all, just is heard). I also rather disagree with the idea of merging a place into a character article. Support keeping. Heimstern Läufer

- Keep, per arguments by Heimstern. Places and characters should be separate. And I don't think it should be redirected to the email, either. The article is short, but redirecting it there wouldn't do justice to the information in it. — It's dot com 03:42, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Heimi, I would ask you to consider that Papa Cardgage is Senor himself, that he is running a shady daycare, and his voice indicates his definite presence (and, possibly, the presence of another, or others) even if he does not visually appear. Fits his character. I can understand a reluctance to merge a place to a character page, but consider all other such places closely allied to a character (Strong Badia, the various Houses, The King Of Town's Grill, etc) all have multiple appearances and as such merit an article. - Qermaq - (T/C)

- I don't think places require multiple appearances (whatever may appear on HRW:Inclusion guidelines, it's not really in keeping with our practices to require as much, as examples given by Bad Bad Guy show). Heimstern Läufer

Actually, after re-reading the guidelines I cited, I see that "(a)ny item that is part of a character's outfit or is closely related to that character (Coach Z's Z, The Poopsmith's Shovel) does not merit a page and should be merged into that character's biography page, unless it has played major roles in toons or gags." This does play a major role, so I withdraw my previous suggestion and move to keep. - Qermaq - (T/C) 03:47, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Keep—We have all kinds of pages on places that only appeared once in passing, such as Neuconsin, Istanbul, Cubeland, Moses MaloneLand, and Airplane. And in response to Qermaq's since-withdrawn argument, there's really no absolute definitive proof that the puddin' patch has anything to do with Senor Cardgage. It seems extremely likely, but he's not seen or directly mentioned in the email or on the walls of the building. We only hear a voice that we assume is his. Maybe Papa Cardgage is Senor's dad...--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 03:56, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
