The name

I called it Caffeinated Strong Sad because of the email caffeine, but as far as we know, the ones in boring (really) and secret identity caused be caused from things other then caffeine. Can anyone suggest a better name? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:53, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure it was caffeine every time, but how about Hyperactive Strong Sad? — Lapper (talk) 18:54, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
That makes a little more sense about the secret identity deal (see my comment here), since it better relates to that email. teeeffoh! 18:56, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
I think we should go ahead and assume the second two are from something other than caffeine (aliens and stress over improper word usage, respectively). I also suggest "Hyperactive". — It's dot com 18:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
At first I opposed Hyperactive as being a serious condition, but now that I checked Aswers.com, I see it's not used as a medical term. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:02, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

The page has been moved to the suggested more appropriate title. — Lapper (talk) 19:04, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Let's not forget that the Sketchbook called him "Caffeinated Strong Sad." --Sam Goldfish 22:14, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
They called it "caffeinated," and therefore we need to, as opposed to establishing another false fanwank, and feeding the readers false information so they can go around thinking it's his "hyperactive" power-up. I like to change it, change it. Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
As J L Picard would say, "Make it so." Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 08:52, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay, you both know that discussion was almost six weeks ago, right? We made the decision to move the page here because "caffeinated" no longer fit. — It's dot com 09:00, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
{edit conflict} Hold on a bit, folks. It was previously decided to call him Hyperactive Strong Bad because it appears that his behaviour is not always the result of caffeine. Specifically, he appears in this state because of the repeated use of "pseudoname" instead of "pseudonym" in secret identity, saying, "-Nym! It's pseudonym! I can't take it anymore!" Since consensus was then established to call him "Hyperactive Strong Sad", please don't change it unless and until you get consensus to do so. And in case you're wondering, I support keeping it as it is. Heimstern Läufer 09:02, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
I don't care what the page is called, I was just encouraging the poster to be bold. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:03, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Don't be bold in the face of consensus, though. -- Tom 09:11, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
I'll be bold and change it right now. As S. Bad once said, "Crap!" Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)
We voted to keep it as Hyperactive, and you still change it. Why do you do this? SaltyTalk! 02:42, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
I concur with hyperactive. Bluebry 02:53, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm actually in the Caffeinated camp on this one. I firmly believe that whatever TBC choose to call him, even if it's only mentioned in one isolated incident and it makes no logical sense whatsoever, it is our duty as a definitive H*R encyclopedia to call it by that name. Anything else seems just plain wrong to me. Has Matt? (talk) 03:12, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Then check out my new gameplay, I mean ad campaign!

Hear, hear! (Whatever the heck that means.) Has Matt? (talk) 03:14, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Wait, he actually was called Cafeinated Strong Sad on something on homestarrunner.com? Bluebry 03:19, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Yep, in the Sketchbook. Has Matt? (talk) 03:22, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Keep in mind that that was two years ago, and the sketchbook was for the email caffeine. Since then, they have reused the effect in situations where he is probably not actually on caffeine, thus a change of the page title was appropriate. — It's dot com 03:26, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
EDIT CONFLICT'D!!!: Well, he was hyperactive from the caffeine in caffeine, that and sketchbook is mid-'04. Many updates to the site have happened since then, but anyways, we don't know in those other emails that he drank caffeine (not caffeine). He passed out after that, so the experience might make him want to not drink caffeine anymore. But, we never saw his use of caffeine in the other emails (not caffeine). The title should remain at "Hyperactive", but as a compromise there's no reason we can't list both "Hyperactive" and "Caffeinated" in the first line of the article, which is what I just did. — It's dot com 03:51, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Works for me. -- Tom 03:53, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

::Not for me. I think saying that he is always caffeinated in this state is unknown. Bluebry 04:37, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Oh, that way? Yeah, it works for me. Bluebry 04:38, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
