HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 31 (Jul 31-Aug 6)
How about Analysis of Homsar's Speech Patterns? We should encourage, promote, and feature scholarly research wherever possible. — It's dot com 13:52, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think more people need to review and edit it before it's featured. Also let all the topics on the talk page be resolved. It may be a new kind of article, but it's still controversial and some users don't agree with the neutrality of it's POV. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:13, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- I also don't really like the idea of featuring that article before we feature Homsar himself, but that's just me. Heimstern Läufer

- I say we do a toon this week. --Sam Goldfish 21:36, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- How about another milestone email? — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:40, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- invisibility? --Sam Goldfish 20:42, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps, although I suggest that virus would be an even bigger milestone and more worthy of featuring. It's a whole email about the demise of the Compy and the end of that era of Email (as opposed to invisibility, which is indeed the beginning of the Compy era, but shortly thereafter moves on to other things; i.e., what SB would do were he invisable [sic] for one day). That's my thought. Heimstern Läufer

- I agree. We're featuring Homsar in December, so let's put Analysis of Homsar's Speech Patterns shortly thereafter, perhaps January. As for the feature for this week, I wouldn't mind virus. It's one of the most popular emails out there. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 20:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- With lots of links it could have. Agree on virus. --DorianGray
- virus sounds good. — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Wrote it with brilliance, boss. Can someone please(!) make the virus page look good before it goes live?! I will be away for most of tomorrow. Double-check the stage notes of the transcript (get rid of "The camera", "We see", make sure pan/tilt/zoom is correct), comb through any bad fun facts that leaked in, order the fun facts in the same sequence they occur in the email. Thanks, BazookaJoe 05:37, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Should we mention on the featured bit that this was the email that helped STUFF come to be? — Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:56, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- Most readers won't know what STUFF is. Loafing

- I debated it, but I tried to follow Wikipedia's practice of avoiding self-references. —BazookaJoe 12:36, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured article for 2006, week 32 (Aug 7-13)
I vote Bubs for the August character, which we could stick in this space. That leaves September for Coach Z, October for The King of Town, November for The Poopsmith, and December for Homsar. ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 20:07, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good order to me. --DorianGray

Something Back to Schoolish? ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 06:24, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, Crazy Go Nuts University has already been featured. If we want something Back-to-Schoolish, we could think about featuring Teen Girl Squad Issue 4. Heimstern Läufer
